Cappetta Shows Consistency at Lincoln, Gains Momentum Following Early-Season Adjustments

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

358 sprint car driver Ashley Cappetta continues to build momentum in the early stages of the 2026 season, turning a challenging outing into a turning point while stringing together consistent performances at Lincoln Speedway.

Cappetta’s season included a difficult start at BAPS Motor Speedway on March 29, where mechanical issues plagued the team throughout the night. After experiencing spark plug or magbox issues early in the program, the team made adjustments, but the car never responded as expected. The night ultimately ended in a DNF, marking a frustrating return to the speedway after a successful test and tune during Cappetta’s most recent visit to the track.

Despite the setback, Cappetta and her team used the experience as a catalyst for change.

“We had notes from testing and felt confident going in, but it just didn’t translate,” Cappetta said. “That night really pushed us to make a change in our setup.”

Following BAPS, the team implemented a new shock package—an adjustment that has since paid dividends.

The impact was immediate at Lincoln Speedway. On April 4, Cappetta earned a heat race victory and drove to a strong sixth-place finish in the feature, marking her first race utilizing the updated setup.

The following weeks continued to show progress. Cappetta backed up her performance with a fifth-place finish during the prestigious Weldon Sterner Memorial event, demonstrating both speed and growing confidence behind the wheel.

“The car has been more consistent, and I feel like I can feel what it’s doing a lot better,” Cappetta explained. “That’s allowed me to be more aggressive and make better decisions on the track.”

Additional guidance has also played a role in the team’s improvement, as Cappetta has leaned on experienced driver Brad McClelland for insight and perspective.

“Having someone who understands both the cars and my driving style has been a big help,” she said. “It’s helped me focus on improving myself and making smarter moves during the race.”

Most recently, Cappetta continued her streak of consistency at Lincoln, narrowly missing another top-10 finish. Starting deep in the lineup, she worked her way forward to finish just outside the top 10 after battling for track position and avoiding incidents.

“We’ve been consistently around the top 10, which is where we want to be,” Cappetta said. “Even on nights where things don’t go our way early, we’re still able to move forward.”

Looking ahead, Cappetta plans to expand her schedule in an effort to gain additional seat time and continue refining her program. Upcoming events include a first-ever visit to Bedford Speedway.

“Seat time is everything,” she said. “The more laps we run, the more we can learn and improve.”

In addition to her on-track efforts, Cappetta remains active in fan engagement and community outreach, with appearances at events, including the Sprint Car Experience at Hershey Stadium with the World of Outlaws. She has also had her car at local school events.

With steady improvement, renewed confidence, and a refined setup, Cappetta is poised to continue her upward trajectory as the season progresses.

ABOUT  ASHLEY CAPPETTA

Ashley Cappetta is a second-generation racer following her uncle’s footsteps. She started her racing career in 2012. It was her first year piloting her race car but certainly not her first exposure to the sport. She was introduced to racing by her father, who was Steve Smith’s crew chief. Her uncle, Rob Cappetta was also involved in the sport driving his own #89 sprint car and went on to be a gasman for Robert Yates Racing. Ashley is making her own way by being the first female in her family to set center stage as a driver. Ashley has had a couple of years of sprint car experience with various teams, starting out as a crew member doing such simple tasks as scrapping mud to advancing her skills into doing maintenance for her own race car. Ashley showing her success with not only her abilities working on her race car but also by winning a Hard Charger Award in only her first season racing. Ashley feels she has the best of both worlds by not only knowing how to race but by having the knowledge of the mechanics and being able to provide detailed feedback to her team. Her goal is to continue to grow as a racer and work her way up through the sprint car division.

Tetreault Battles Early Season Adversity, Finds Speed Heading Into Busy 2026 Campaign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Memphis, TN – May 5, 2026

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

The 2026 racing season has already delivered its share of challenges and breakthroughs for sprint car driver Adrian Tetreault, as he works through early-season issues and builds momentum heading into the summer months.

Tetreault opened the season at Hattiesburg, where lingering engine issues from the end of the 2025 campaign resurfaced. Originally slated to compete in both Friday and Saturday events, Tetreault ultimately elected to run just on Friday after identifying a recurring problem.

“Right away, I could feel it missing a cylinder randomly,” said Tetreault. “When everything was firing, the car felt loose, but when it wasn’t, it would tighten up. It was a real handful to drive.”

Despite the setback, Tetreault managed a 16th-place finish before making the decision to head home early to prevent further damage.

Determined to find a solution, the team turned to engine builder John Howard. After extensive troubleshooting, the issue was traced to a faulty set of new injection nozzles that had been installed as part of a test program.

“We were essentially the guinea pig on a new set of nozzles,” Tetreault explained. “Once we pulled one out and realized it wasn’t getting idle air, everything started to make sense.”

The team replaced the faulty components with a proven set of used nozzles, immediately resolving the issue.

“It’s something we’ve been fighting for close to a year and a half,” he added. “To finally have it sorted out and feel that power again is a huge relief.”

With renewed confidence, Tetreault next traveled to North Carolina for an opportunity with prominent micro sprint and racing development figure Evan Garvy. The trip marked a unique experience, both on and off the track.

After a 12-hour haul to the Charlotte area, plans shifted quickly when a last-minute driver change was needed, opening the door for Tetreault to step in under less-than-ideal circumstances.

“We didn’t have time to reconfigure the seat, no hot laps, no heat race, nothing,” said Tetreault. “I basically went out for the feature with zero prep.”

Competing at the ultra-fast Carolina Speedway against a field dominated by 360 sprint cars, with Tetreault piloting one of only two 305 entries, the odds were stacked against him. Still, he charged forward from near the back of the field.

Starting second to last, Tetreault advanced through the field to an 11th-place finish, earning Hard Charger honors in the process.

“The biggest takeaway was how good and fast the car felt,” he said. “We didn’t want to risk tearing up equipment racing against bigger motors, so we pulled in before the end, but it was a really encouraging run.”

Saturday’s plans included putting Garvy behind the wheel, but after a full day of preparation, the team received word en route that the event had been canceled, resulting in another long trip back home without turning a lap.

Looking ahead, Tetreault is hopeful to reconnect with Garvy later this season, with potential plans including an appearance at the prestigious Tulsa Shootout in the Outlaw Wingless division.

During the offseason, the team also made a trip to Florida to acquire a 360 engine, which is currently being evaluated.

As the season progresses, Tetreault is also proud to welcome a strong group of partners supporting his efforts in 2026, including Evan Garvy, Driven Nootropics, William Denzer of Schaeffer Oil, Home of the Hustle, First Fence, Sticker Depot, and continued support through creative initiatives like 3D printing projects for Beer Hill Gang.

With early-season adversity now in the rearview mirror and performance gains beginning to show, Tetreault and is focused on building consistency and capitalizing on opportunities as the schedule unfolds.

“This is all part of racing,” Tetreault said. “You’re going to have ups and downs, but we’re heading in the right direction now. That’s what matters.”

Cappetta Opens 2026 Season with Strong Runner-Up Finish at Lincoln Speedway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – March 20, 2026

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Ashley Cappetta kicked off her 2026 racing season in impressive fashion on Saturday, March 14, at Lincoln Speedway, with a second-place finish in the 358 Sprint Car division.

Despite an uncharacteristically low early-season car count, Cappetta and her team made the most of the opportunity, showing speed and consistency from the start of the night.

“We were a little surprised by the car count,” Cappetta said. “But it’s early in the season, it was cold, and not everyone is ready yet. We were just focused on making the most of what we had.”

While a hot lap experiment didn’t go as planned, she quickly rebounded, making the right adjustments for the remainder of the night. After a decent pill draw, Cappetta earned a strong feature starting position through her heat race performance.

“I knew after the heat race what we needed to change,” she said. “The car felt good, and I knew the track would get more challenging as the night went on.”

In the feature, Cappetta showcased both speed and composure, avoiding multiple incidents — including an early pileup and a close call with a spinning car — to remain in contention throughout the race.

“It was definitely intense,” Cappetta said. “There were a couple of really close moments that could have ended our night, but we were able to get through them.”

Battling near the front for the duration of the feature, Cappetta overcame a significant challenge as her brakes faded in and out, forcing her to adapt her driving style, especially on restarts.

“I didn’t have brakes consistently, which made it tough,” she explained. “Restarts were tricky, but in a way they helped because I could work the brakes and keep them somewhat there. On that kind of track, you really need them.”

Despite the setback, Cappetta held strong to secure a second-place finish — a result that carries extra meaning for both her and her team.

“It feels really good to start the season like this,” she said. “My dad puts a lot of work into this car, especially over the winter while I’m focused on my business. I was honestly just as happy for him as I was for myself.”

The strong opening night also carried emotional significance, as Cappetta dedicated the performance to her late grandmother.

“With everything going on, it meant a lot to have a run like that for her,” she added.

Off the track, Cappetta also expressed appreciation for the support shown at her annual preseason fundraiser, which saw a strong turnout despite a busy holiday weekend.

“We really appreciate everyone who came out,” she said. “It’s always great to kick off the season with the people who support us.”

Looking ahead, Cappetta plans to focus her 2026 schedule primarily on Lincoln Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, with additional appearances at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway.

Adrian Tetreault Wraps Up a Weather Shortened but Rewarding 2025 Season

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Memphis, TN – November 5, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Despite a year plagued by weather-related cancellations and limited track time, Tetreault and his small, self-funded team made the most of every lap turned—both on the track and in the community.

“It was such a weird, rain-shortened year,” said Tetreault. “Everywhere seemed to get rained out this season. It felt like a monsoon—but when the weather finally broke late in the year, we got to make up for it and get some good racing in.”

Tetreault competed in 10 events this season, with five top-ten finishes—a strong showing considering the limited opportunities to race. “Half of the time we finished in the top ten,” he noted. “You can’t complain about that. We know we’ll get better, and we’re building momentum.”

Racing Highlights and Lessons Learned

After early-season frustrations and mechanical issues—including a memorable night at Dothan where a driveshaft issue nearly ended his evening—Tetreault rallied with solid runs at Benton Speedway and Pine Ridge Speedway to close out the year.

The Dothan race became one of the most memorable moments of the season. Tetreault’s driveshaft unexpectedly popped out of the rear end, leaving him stranded in the pits, 400 miles from home, with no crew to help. Frustrated and convinced his night was over, he started to head toward the concession stand for his favorite racetrack snack—boiled peanuts.

“When you’re by yourself and something like that happens, you just think, ‘Well, that’s it,’” he recalled. “Next thing I know, I look back and nine guys are thrashing on my car trying to help me get back out there. Total strangers. That’s racing family right there.”

Thanks to their combined effort, Tetreault was able to make the feature that night. “I didn’t run great, but I was credited with a ninth-place finish—and that was all because of those guys,” he said. “That moment reminded me what this sport is really about. Everyone’s there to race, but they’ll still stop what they’re doing to help you.”

“Even though a lot of our top tens came from attrition, that’s part of racing,” Tetreault said with a laugh. “But it felt good to end the year actually passing cars and racing with the back of the pack instead of just surviving. That was a confidence booster.”

He also enjoyed the chance to race against both 305 and 360 sprint car fields, despite running a 305 engine all year. “It’s fun to challenge yourself like that,” he said. “By the end of the season, the car felt really comfortable, and we were finally able to get on the throttle and race the way we wanted.”

Community Connection and Growth

Beyond the racetrack, Tetreault made an impact through community and promotional events. This fall, his sprint car was featured at AutoZone Park, home of the Memphis Redbirds—the AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals—for a free family event that drew more than 2,000 visitors.

“Kids who had never seen a race car before got to sit in it and take pictures,” he said. “Some families even asked how to get their kids started in racing. That’s what it’s all about—introducing new people to the sport.”

Tetreault also supported local businesses throughout the season, including Midas, one of his growing marketing partners. He recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Midas store in the Memphis area and is already discussing expanded sponsorship opportunities for 2026.

“The folks at Midas have been incredible to work with,” said Tetreault. “They’re changing how people see auto repair—transparent, honest, and community-driven. We’re hoping to build that relationship even further next year, maybe even with a full wrap in Midas colors.”

Building for 2026 and Beyond

Looking ahead, Tetreault is already focused on next year’s goals, including returning to Central Pennsylvania for the National Open and adding more USCS and ASCS regional races closer to home.

“I’d love to make it back to Benton and Magnolia, and hopefully North Alabama,” he said. “We’re also talking with our engine builder about putting together a 360 engine, just to give us more flexibility.”

Tetreault also continues to grow his online presence, recently surpassing 1,000 Facebook followers—an important milestone for his grassroots team.

Baker River Racing is always open to creating new partnerships, whether it be for the entire season or one race at a time.

“Facebook doesn’t make us money, but it means people are paying attention,” he said. “They’re seeing what we’re doing, the racing and the community side, and that helps show our partners real value.”

A Season of Gratitude

As the season closes, Tetreault remains thankful for those who help make his racing efforts possible.

“I’m self-funded for the most part, but I’ve had amazing people step up this year,” he said. “The fans, our partners, and the Addicted2Dirt team have helped us grow so much. We went from 600 followers to over 1,000—and that’s just the start. I’m proud of what we’re building.”

Cappetta Reflects on a Season of Growth and Looks Ahead to 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Oxford, PA – October 28, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Ashley Cappetta wrapped up her 2025 season at Lincoln Speedway last Saturday, closing out a year filled with growth, resilience, and consistency.

After switching from her #89 to the Apple #12 car early in the season, Cappetta set a clear goal for herself and her team — to be stronger and more consistent than in previous years — and she feels confident they achieved just that.

“I just wanted to be better than we’ve been in past seasons, and I feel like we met that expectation,” Cappetta said. “I never expected to end up in the Apple 12 after just a few races, so living that childhood dream has been incredible. Some days it still doesn’t feel real.”

The 2025 season brought several changes for Cappetta, including a new crew chief and crew adjustments midway through the year. Despite those challenges — and setbacks like a broken camshaft that sidelined her while leading the points — Cappetta remained a steady presence in Lincoln’s competitive 358 division.

“We were consistent all season except for a handful of nights,” she noted. “Saturday’s regular feature was probably one of our toughest nights, but overall, this was the most consistent year we’ve had in a long time.”
Cappetta’s night at Lincoln’s season finale was a mixed one, with mechanical gremlins testing her team’s persistence.

“In the make-up feature, I felt okay. If we’d started a little further up, I think we could’ve done better than seventh,” Cappetta said. “The cautions hurt us, but overall, I was happy with that race. In the regular feature, we just couldn’t get things to click — I think the motor is getting tired. It’s time to freshen up our motor program this winter.”

The team plans to rebuild both engines during the off-season, and Cappetta is already setting her sights on an even stronger 2026 campaign.

“This off-season, I want to get back in the gym, get stronger, and make sure the cars and motors are in top shape,” Cappetta said. “We’ll be working on sponsorship, getting ready for our annual fundraiser, and just mentally resetting. I’m in a much better headspace this year, and that gives me the motivation to really push for next season.”

In addition to her time behind the wheel, Cappetta took on a new challenge in 2025 — helping to promote, which included focusing on two races specifically for the 358 division.

“It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it,” she said. “It really gives you a new appreciation for how much effort goes into putting these shows together. I’m looking forward to doing it again next year with the Weldon Sterner Memorial.”

Cappetta expressed deep gratitude for her supporters, crew, and sponsors who helped make the season possible.

“I can’t thank my sponsors enough, especially Gettysburg Trading Post — they’ve been with me for 14 years, and next year will mark our 15th season together,” she said. “The fans mean the world to me, too. Their support, whether it’s buying merchandise or cheering us on at the track, keeps me going.”

As the off-season begins, Cappetta is already preparing for her 14th Annual “Night at the Races” Fundraiser, set for February 14, 2026, at the Irishtown Fire Company.

Tickets will be $25 from November 1–30, and $30 starting December 1. The first 150 attendees through the door will receive a free event T-shirt. Tickets will be available through Cappetta beginning November 1.

“We’ve got a great support system around us right now,” Cappetta said. “I’m grateful for everyone who’s part of this team, and I’m already looking forward to what’s ahead in 2026.”

Cappetta Reflects on Weldon Sterner Memorial and Looks Ahead to Closing Out 2025 Season Strong

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Oxford, PA – September 22, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Ashley Cappetta added another successful Weldon Sterner Memorial to her resume this past weekend, marking her second time this season organizing the special event. While Cappetta was juggling her role as both a promoter and competitor, she came away with pride in how the night unfolded on and off the track.

“I thought it went really well,” Cappetta said. “We had a strong car count, and aside from one bad crash in the 358 division, the night ran smoothly. Every time I promote one of these races, I learn more about what needs to be done, and it becomes easier. Sponsorship is always the hardest part, especially hosting two events in a season, but considering how quickly we put this one together, I’m really happy with the results.”

One of the highlights of the night was the added contingency bonus support for the 358 Sprint Cars, something Cappetta pushed hard to secure.

“As a 358 driver, I know how tough the pay is for us compared to the 410s,” she explained. “After some tough track conditions the week before that really hurt teams’ equipment, I thought it was important to get extra money and product awards for the division. A lot of great businesses stepped up to help, and I really admire people who support the ‘little guys.’ Many 410 drivers started in the 358s, so it’s nice to see that kind of support come full circle.”

On track, Cappetta battled a tough night behind the wheel.

“I went into the night knowing my grandmother wasn’t doing well, and my mind was definitely with her,” Cappetta shared. “I told myself to give myself grace no matter the outcome. We missed the setup in the heat race, which put me deep in the field. Starting 14th made it tough with everyone running the same line, but I passed a couple cars before giving one spot back. At the end of the day, I was just thankful the car came home in one piece, and we know what we need to adjust moving forward.”

With only two races left in the season, both at her home track of Lincoln Speedway, Cappetta is focused on closing out strong.

“I’d really love to get a win before the season ends, especially in honor of my grandmother who just passed,” Cappetta said. “But with a new crew chief and crew this year, the main goal is to build a strong notebook for next season. If we can finish the last two races in the top 10 and keep our equipment in good shape, I’ll be happy.”

Off the track, Cappetta also recently spoke at the York County Racing Club meeting, something she truly valued.

“It was a really cool experience,” she said. “Not everyone gets to meet drivers face-to-face and ask questions, so it’s a great way for people to connect with us. The club does so much behind the scenes, and going to the meeting gave me a new appreciation for their work.”

Cappetta will return to action at Lincoln Speedway for the final two 358 Sprint Car races of the 2025 season as she looks to end the year on a high note.

Ashley Cappetta Scores Back-to-Back Top 10s and Announces Release of First-Ever Diecast Car

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – September 4, 2025

Ashley Cappetta has strung together another pair of solid finishes at Lincoln Speedway, adding to a season marked by consistency and determination. Cappetta recorded an eighth-place finish in the Kramer Klash and followed it up with a 10th-place run during the Labor Day Duels over the holiday weekend.

The Kramer Klash began with Cappetta starting mid-pack after a fourth-place finish in her heat. Despite a challenging heat race, she lined up 12th for the feature and drove to an eighth-place finish. “I wasn’t completely comfortable in the heat, but I knew we weren’t going to start worse than 12th,” Cappetta said. “In the feature, things worked out. A wreck happened in front of us, and if I had started farther up, I probably would’ve been caught in it. We were able to pick off some cars and come away with a top 10.”

During the Labor Day Duel on Sunday, Cappetta battled tricky track conditions. The track quickly took rubber, making passing opportunities scarce. After finishing third in her heat, she lined up seventh for the feature but slipped back to 10th. “It was one of those races where if you fell out of the groove just a little, you were going to get passed,” Cappetta explained. “We had some wheel spin early, but made adjustments. It wasn’t the outcome we wanted, but with the conditions, we’ll take another top 10.”

The two finishes continue a strong stretch for Cappetta and her team, who have scored top-10 results in eight of 10 completed features this season. Only a camshaft failure and engine trouble at Port Royal have kept the team from finishing a race in 2025.

Off the track, Cappetta is celebrating a milestone in her racing career with the release of her first-ever diecast sprint car. Produced in partnership with Acme, the diecast marks Cappetta as one of only a few female sprint car drivers to have a model car made in her likeness.

“This is definitely a childhood dream come true,” Cappetta said. “I grew up playing with diecast cars and pretending to be my favorite drivers. To now have my own is surreal. It’s special for me, for my nieces, and for the young fans who will have another female driver to look up to in their collections. It’s also great exposure for my sponsors, as these cars are going to fans all over the country.”

Cappetta and her team will return to Lincoln Speedway next Saturday for the 22nd annual Weldon Sterner Memorial as they continue their push toward closing out the 2025 season strong.

Ashley Cappetta Battles Through Adversity, Collects Strong Runs as Season Winds Down

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – August 21, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

It’s been a rollercoaster three weeks for Ashley Cappetta and her team, as they’ve faced mechanical setbacks, tough track conditions, and flashes of speed that show just how close the East Berlin driver is to breaking through for her first win of the season.

The stretch began with heartbreak at Lincoln Speedway, when Cappetta’s night ended prematurely with motor trouble while battling near the front of her heat race. After a strong start and a car that was showing speed, Cappetta heard the telltale signs that something wasn’t right. The team diagnosed a major issue with the camshaft, an unexpected step back in their season plans.

“It was really defeating because we were in position to qualify well and had a car I felt comfortable with,” Cappetta said. “We work so hard, and to have something completely out of our control end the night early was tough. But you can’t dwell on it—we just have to regroup and keep moving forward.”

Regroup is exactly what the team did. The following week at Lincoln, Cappetta rebounded with a strong qualifying effort and showed race-winning speed in both her heat and the feature. After racing into second during the heat and lining up solidly for the main event, Cappetta spent much of the feature inside the top five. Twice she made passes for position, only to have cautions negate her progress. In the end, she came home with a top-five finish—a run that gave the team confidence heading into the final stretch of the season.

“I really felt like we had a car capable of finishing in the top three or even challenging for a win if the cautions had fallen our way,” Cappetta noted. “It was definitely a confidence booster after the week before.”

This past Saturday, however, luck was once again not on Cappetta’s side. After drawing into a tough heat race and being relegated to a 17th-place starting spot in the feature, her night became an uphill climb. On the opening lap of the 20-lap main event, Cappetta was collected in another driver’s incident and forced to restart at the rear of the field. From there, she mounted a steady charge through the pack, only to be stalled multiple times by caution flags. Despite the setbacks, Cappetta passed cars and worked her way forward over the course of the race and salvaged a 13th-place finish.

“The car felt really good, but we just couldn’t catch a break with all the cautions,” Cappetta said. “Every time I made progress, the yellow would come out. We had a top-10 car, easy, but the circumstances just didn’t allow it.”

With just five races remaining on the 2025 season schedule at Lincoln Speedway, Cappetta and her team are focused on finishing strong. Cappetta continues to chase her first win of the year, with her sights set on the Weldon Sterner Memorial in September and a season finale in October.

“I want to get a win so bad for my team, my sponsors, and all the people who support me,” Cappetta said. “We’ve been close—we just need the right night to put it all together.”

Cappetta also addressed recent rumors circulating in the pits about her future in racing:
“There’s been some talk that I might retire after this season, and I just want to be clear—that’s not true. Next year will be my 15th season, and we plan on running a full schedule again in 2026. My future is still in racing, and I’m not done yet.”

Fans can catch Ashley Cappetta back in action this Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway, where she’ll continue her pursuit of victory lane.

Weather Woes, Fan Appreciation Night, and Future Plans: An Update from Sprint Car Driver Adrian Tetreault

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Memphis, TN – July 28, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

It’s been a frustrating season for sprint car racer Adrian Tetreault, but despite a relentless string of rainouts, he is finding ways to stay focused, connected, and optimistic about the remainder of the 2025 season.

“This is the worst year I can remember for rainouts,” Tetreault shared. “It’s not just the Northeast or the Southeast—it’s been bad everywhere. And with limited seat time, it’s been hard to build momentum.”

Earlier this month, Tetreault made the long haul to Benton, Missouri, where he competed in a mixed-field sprint car event that even included a 410 competitor. Despite a late-race vibration issue, he brought the car home with a 10th-place finish.

“We were right there in lap times,” he said. “The car felt good until those late cautions. I couldn’t tell if the vibration was from mud or a potential engine issue, and being a one-motor program, I had to play it safe.”

While the racing was solid, it was Kids Night at Benton Speedway that left a lasting impression. With free grandstand admission for all fans and an on-track meet-and-greet, the event created a special atmosphere.

“They brought everyone down to the track, and those kids looked at us like we were rock stars,” Tetreault said. “It was one of the best nights I’ve ever experienced as a driver. The smiles, the excitement—there’s nothing better than seeing that kind of joy and knowing we’re inspiring the next generation of racers and fans.”

Since then, Tetreault has torn through the fuel system and plugs, using every tool available to diagnose the mystery vibration. “Everything looks right, but I won’t know for sure until we’re back on the track.”

Tetreault returns to action this August 2 at East Alabama Motor Speedway with the Southern Sprint Car Association Renegades—an organization he’s committed to for the 2025 season.

“With a single motor, I have to be selective about where I race,” he said. “If something breaks, it could take us out for the season, and I don’t want to let the series down.”

Outside of the car, Adrian has worked hard to maintain visibility and engagement on social media, using photos, sponsor spotlights, and video content to keep fans updated.

“We’ve had some fun with sponsor content—trying to keep it candid and real—but I’ve also re-worked some pieces at the request of a few partners. If they’re supporting me, I want to represent them the best I can.”

Speaking of sponsors, Midas Automotive has emerged as a key partner for the Tetreault team this season.

“They’ve been incredible,” he said. “Ron and the team have been open to ideas, and we’re cooking up something big for next year. I can’t say much yet, but let’s just say you may see us step into a new chapter.”

Midas has already made waves in the national motorsports scene, appearing on an ARCA car at both Talladega and Indy, and their partnership with Baker River Racing could lead to even bigger developments for 2026.

In the meantime, Adrian is taking a rare break from the grind with a trip to Central Pennsylvania. He’ll be at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 15, catching up with fans on the iconic Beer Hill before heading to visit family in his native New England.

“I’m a transplant from the Northeast,” he said. “So it’s always good to come back. I’ll have stickers, maybe a few shirts—fans can shoot me a message on social and I’ll bring your order up with me.

Ashley Cappetta Battles Mechanical Issues in Return to Port Royal Speedway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Port Royal, PA – July 24, 2025

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

After a five-year absence from the Speed Palace, Ashley Cappetta returned to Port Royal Speedway with high hopes on Saturday night—but mechanical gremlins had other plans. Cappetta’s night was filled with troubleshooting and perseverance as she fought through persistent issues with horsepower and ultimately made the tough call to pull off early in the feature to prevent further damage.

Cappetta last raced at Port Royal in 2020, making Saturday’s return a long-awaited one. “I love the track and wish we could get there more often,” said Cappetta. “Unfortunately, from the start of the night, we just couldn’t find any horsepower.”

Despite adjusting gears and fuel settings, her team continued to chase a solution throughout the evening. “In warm-ups, I only turned 7,200 RPM, which was a red flag. Normally I’m way past that at Lincoln, and Port is a faster track. I knew something wasn’t right,” she explained.

Cappetta got a solid launch in her heat race, but was quickly overtaken—a sign that the issue hadn’t been resolved. In the feature, things went from bad to worse when she felt something hit the bottom of the car. She pushed on but couldn’t find the speed she needed. “I heard a weird noise from the motor and just knew something was off.”

Playing it smart, Cappetta exited the race early to avoid a catastrophic failure. Once off the track, the issue revealed itself—oil was pouring out from a hole in the oil pan, the result of debris damage. While initial concerns pointed to a possible blown motor, her engine builder, Paul, later diagnosed the real culprit: a weak fuel pump.

“Paul flowed the pump on Sunday and confirmed it was barely functioning. That explains why we had zero power,” Cappetta said. “Thankfully, there was no major engine damage, and Dean Bowman already repaired the oil pan. We’ll send the pump out this week and get it fixed.”

While the night didn’t go as planned, Cappetta was encouraged by the full field of 358s and the strong racing that fans got to witness. “The division put on a great show despite a few mishaps. I’m proud of everyone who made the trip and gave it their all. That’s what we need to keep showing other tracks—358s can put on a great race.”

Next up, Cappetta and her team will head to BAPS Motor Speedway this Saturday, as they look to bounce back and continue their strong 2025 season.
