Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing are set to tackle four nights of racing as part of the 2024 Pennsylvania Speedweek series. The team will compete in a pair of events at Williams Grove Speedway (Friday, June 28th and Friday, July 5th) along with stops at BAPS Motor Speedway (Sunday, June 30th) and Hagerstown Speedway (Thursday, July 4th).

The ultra-competitive series spans 10 days at seven different facilities and guarantees a minimum of $ 10,000 to win for all events. In addition to the winner’s share of race day payouts, there is a large series point fund along with a multitude of contingency prizes up for grabs at each event.

With most of Pennsylvania’s best competitors expected to at least compete in a handful of events and many outside invaders looking to cash in on the fun, Jackson and Hess will have their hands full in their rookie crack at the legendary series.

“I think Speedweek is a cool deal and it’s a good opportunity to get some laps and run for some good money,” said Jackson. “Obviously as the 10 days go on, more and more cars will be showing up, so it’s going to be a learning experience and the goal will be to get in the show at each track we head to.”

Jackson enters the historic series with some momentum on his side, as he scored a career-best second-place finish two weeks ago in 410 Sprint Car competition at ‘The Grove’ during a night that saw the Newville, PA native win a heat race and lead 20 laps of the A-main.

It’s confidence from a run like that that has Jackson anxious for what Speedweek presents.

“Anytime you can lead some laps and contend for wins, you’ve got to feel good about what you’re doing and how you’re progressing,” he said. “We’re starting to figure out Williams Grove a bit and going forward it’s going to be the bulk of our attention in the 410. I’m looking forward to two nights there and hopefully building on the gains we’ve made in qualifying and heats.”

Along with a familiar stop at BAPS, which is a place Jackson has won several times in winged and wingless sportsman competition, the team will make a trip to a bit of a wildcard in Hagerstown.

Traditionally more of a late model staple in the Central PA and Maryland racing community, the track can often throw curveballs and bring about unique winners during the series. Jackson is no different than most, as he’s only ever competed twice at the Maryland facility, picking up a win in wingless sportsman action along the way.

“We’ve had Hagerstown circled all year as we’ve got some good sponsors out that way and this gives us a chance to let them see us closer to home and hopefully, we can represent them well,” said Jackson. “Hagerstown can be slick, so it’s tough to know how our program will stack up there. I have won there once before, so I guess that’s on our side. We’re going to go in with an open mind, make some good laps, and hopefully at the end of the night we’ll be talking about a feature run.”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Show Consistency and Progress with Career-Best Weekend in 410 Division

Abbottstown, PA – June 13, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

With a frustration-filled month of May behind them, Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing scored a career-best weekend at a pair of Central Pennsylvania tracks over the weekend.

Jackson scored finishes of 13th at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa on Friday and 11th at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday. The top 15 finishes served as Jackson’s third and fourth of his rookie season in the 410 Sprint Car ranks and shows his progress made as he approaches the middle mark of 2024.

“Overall, it was a really good weekend and we’re starting to learn how to pass cars,” said Jackson. “We need to clean up a few things with qualifying and heat races, but we’ve made a lot of progress, and it was a good weekend.”

With a field of 22 Lawrence Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars in attendance, Jackson kicked off the two-race weekend at Williams Grove on Friday. He finished sixth in a heat race to earn the 17th starting position in the A-main. He steadily moved forward throughout the feature and brought home a 13th-place finish at the checkered flag.

The duo then headed to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday to close out the weekend and amongst 22 competitors in attendance, timed in 18th quickest in time trials with a quickest lap of 14. 263 seconds. A seventh-place finish in a heat race locked Jackson into the night’s A-main event with the 21st starting position.

With $7,000 on the line for the Elijah Hawkins Memorial, Jackson showed incredible effort and determination as he moved forward ten positions to score an 11th-place finish. The result serves as Jackson’s career-best finish in the division.

“I was really happy with the run at the Grove, but to pass that many cars at Lincoln shows how good we really have been lately,” said Jackson. “We made some changes with the car to go back to making me comfortable and it seems to be working. It’s positive runs like that that will keep you coming back for more and hopefully, it’s a sign of things to come.”

The team will again tackle Williams Grove on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday for two races this weekend in 410 Sprint Car competition. While the goal will be to continue to learn and gain valuable seat time, Jackson and Hess are hoping for more positive momentum and results as they’re anxiously gearing up for their first crack at the always exciting Pennsylvania Speedweek in a few weeks.

Tentative plans have the team competing in six of the ten scheduled Speedweek events, with stops at Williams Grove (2), Lincoln (2), BAPS Motor Speedway (1), and Hagerstown (1) on the horizon.

“We want to stick to the plan of getting top 15 finishes and the plan directly ahead of us is to keep doing that,” said Jackson. “We’re knocking on the door of that first top ten. This can be a humbling sport, but it’s just hard to come from the back and if we can start better the results will speak for itself.”

“However, with Speedweek on the horizon and a bunch of races ahead of us, it’s important that I start breaking some of these habits and putting us in a better position in qualifying and heat races. We’re going to really focus on those things here the next few weeks and I’m looking forward to seeing where we stack up with the best our area has to offer come Speedweek,” he added.

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Earn First 410 Sprint Car Top-15 Finish with First World of Outlaws Starts on the Horizon

Abbottstown, PA – May 6, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing scored a career-best 15th-place finish in 410 Sprint Car competition as part of the World of Outlaws Tune-Up at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night.

“We left the track feeling pretty good and it’s a nice feeling to be talking about moving forward and getting results,” said Jackson. “We’ve been talking a lot about top 15 finishes, and this is a step in the right direction for us as a team.”

Jackson kicked off the night by timing 23rd quickest in qualifying among 31 cars in attendance with a fastest lap of 17.483 seconds. As a result, he lined up eighth in a heat race, where he advanced one position to finish in seventh.

“We were tight in time trials, but I think maybe it was me and the line I drove and not so much the setup,” said Jackson. “You need to be fast off the trailer with these Outlaw-type races, so we didn’t help ourselves there much.”

Needing to compete in a B-main to qualify for the feature, Jackson finished where he started – fourth. As a result, he secured the 22nd starting position for the night’s $6,000 to-win feature event.

With 25 laps at his expense, Jackson meticulously worked through traffic to advance seven positions throughout the duration of the A-main. As a result, he crossed under the checkered flag in the 15th position.

“We had some help with attrition, but we passed a few guys, and we learned a lot competing with a good field of cars,” he said. “The biggest thing we were able to do was to maintain throughout the night and that makes a big difference when you’re not having to overcome so much on the track.”

Next up for the duo will be a pair of World of Outlaws starts on Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA, and Friday at Williams Grove Speedway. Depending on how things go in these two events, the team may return on Saturday for the finale at ‘The Grove.’

Riding some positive momentum into the week, Jackson is optimistic about their chances to qualify for the shows and is looking forward to the ability to learn against the best the sport has to offer.

“We’re still a bit out of our league in terms of the competition, but ultimately we’re going to try and gain experience and see where we stack up,” said Jackson. “I’ve spent a lot of time sitting in the stands watching the Outlaws and even worked on a few cars that have competed with them and I don’t know that I ever thought I’d be in this position with the opportunity to race with them. So, for the first crack at things, I’m going to soak it in a bit and just go out and do my best and hopefully we can get an A-main start or two.”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Continue Learning Experience in the 410 Sprint Car Ranks with Three-Race Weekend

Abbottstown, PA – April 30, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing competed in three nights of racing last weekend and together they qualified for two out of three A-main events. Jackson scored finishes of 18th at BAPS Motor Speedway and 20th at Williams Grove Speedway. He failed to qualify at Port Royal Speedway.

“I wish we had more to talk about, but we’re just in a spot where we’re learning and growing,” said Jackson. “I’m used to running up front and winning races, so it can weigh on you when results are not there. But everyone keeps reminding me that this is part of the learning process and I can see we’re getting better each weekend we get out.”

Jackson kicked off the weekend on Friday at Williams Grove where he advanced to the A-main directly out of a heat race with a fifth-place finish. As a result, he lined up 20th on the grid and that’s where he would finish as well.

“I think we raced better than the results show, but unfortunately we got lapped on that first long run and it doesn’t show,” said Jackson. “We passed a lot of cars, but overall, it’s not going to show that in the books.”

Mother Nature canceled a planned trip to BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday before it got started, so Jackson and Hess made the decision to head to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA for their first-ever 410 Sprint Car start at the Speed Palace.

He was 11th quickest in group warmups before finishing eighth in a heat race. As a result, he was regulated to the B-main, where he finished 11th and failed to qualify for the feature. While the results were not what he hoped for, it was a positive learning experience for Jackson as he continues to grow behind the wheel of a 410 Sprint Car.

“We’ve been wanting to get to Port Royal, but we didn’t exactly need to get there when the track was as fast as it was,” said Jackson. “But overall, I think racing on a track like that really taught me a lot and made us better on Sunday.”

Jackson and Hess closed out the weekend with a Sunday trip to BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA. After timing in 2nd quickest in group time trials, Jackson locked into the A-main with a fifth-place finish in a heat race. He then finished where he started – 18th – in the A-main to score his sixth top-20 finish of the season.

“We qualified really well, and I think the credit for that might go to Port Royal and just getting used to going faster,” he said. “We overcorrected a bit for the feature in terms of setup and ultimately, we came home with another top 20 finish.”

Jackson and Hess will take part in two Sprint Car events this weekend with stops at Williams Grove on Friday and Lincoln on Saturday.

“We’re at a spot now where we feel like we should start clicking off top 15 finishes and I’m hopeful to maybe be able to show that this weekend,” he said. “The Outlaws are coming up and that weekend is kind of up in the air as we don’t want to go out there and just make laps if we don’t feel we can qualify and run well. So this weekend will be a good measuring stick for us to kind of decide what next weekend looks like and we’ll give it our best.”

WEEKEND RESULTS

April 26 – Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA – Heat race: 5 (2); Feature: 20 (20).
April 27 – Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA – Heat race: 8 (6); B-main: 11 (10).
April 28 – BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA – Heat race: 5 (3); Feature: 18 (18).

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Score Top-20 Finish in Weldon Sterner Memorial at Lincoln Speedway

Abbottstown, PA – April 24, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing competed last Saturday as part of the Weldon Sterner Memorial at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA, and brought home an 18th-place finish.

The top 20 finish was the fourth of the season as part of Jackson’s rookie campaign in the 410 Sprint Car ranks and continued a trend of qualifying for A-main events and learning.

“The main goal each weekend is to make the field and we were able to check that box,” said Jackson. “We’ve had some bad luck at Lincoln this year and this was really our first shot to run a full night there, so ultimately I’m happy with the run we had.”

A total of 32 410 Sprint Cars attended Lincoln on Saturday for the $20,000-to-win event and Jackson kicked off the night by qualifying fourth quickest in his group during time trials. He then finished fifth in a heat race to grab a transfer spot for the A-main.

With a goal to move forward in the feature event, Jackson lined up for the 40-lap race from the 20th starting position. He was able to advance as high as 16th on the grid, but on a tricky track, he struggled to make much ground and ultimately fell to 18th.

While he would have liked to have finished better, it was the opportunity to learn from the leaders and try new things in lapped traffic that had Jackson most excited.

“Once I got lapped by Macri, I just kind of settled in behind him and honestly that was quite the learning experience just seeing where he was running and what he was doing,” he said. “I saw he was running the top and I jumped up there a time or two and it just felt good to kind of branch out and show what I’m capable of.”

This upcoming weekend will be a busy one for Jackson and Scott Hess Racing as they’re set to compete in three different events. They’ll tackle 410 Sprint Car action on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA, and Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA.

“The 410 Sprint Car shows are utilizing the same formats we’ve been seeing all year, so we have a good idea of what to expect going into them,” said Jackson. “We’ll stick to the plan of getting in the feature for both shows and hopefully we can compete for some top 15’s.”

In between the two 410 starts, Jackson will compete in the winged Super Sportsman competition at BAPS on Saturday as part of the Larry Jackson Tribute race. While the race honors his father and he enters as the defending champion of the event, Jackson knows it will be tough to come out and repeat against a stellar field of competitors.

“We obviously know what it takes to win in the sportsman division, and it is nice to gain a little confidence by picking up a win in my dad’s race, but this is our first winged Sportsman event of the year,” said Jackson. “There’s going to be a full field of guys who have been working hard and running fast each weekend in the Sportsman division and we’re kind of coming in as an outsider. I’d love to get a win, but we’ll just do our best and enjoy the night surrounded by a lot of family and friends.”

WEEKEND RESULTS

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Make the Best of Rainy Weekend with Best Career 410 Sprint Car Finish

York Haven, PA – April 16, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing continued to make strides in the 410 Sprint Car ranks as the Newville, PA native brought home a career-best 16th-place finish on Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway.

Jackson and Hess initially planned to compete in three consecutive nights of racing in the 410 Sprint Car ranks, but rain again reared its ugly head and canceled planned action at Williams Grove on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.

“We briefly considered running Port Royal on Saturday, but it just didn’t look like it would be a great time weather-wise and with the wind,” said Jackson. “In terms of BAPS, they watered the track and it was pretty top dominant. I was probably running a half lane lower than the guys in front of us and that’s a prime example of the learning curve and just where I need to grow.”

A total of 43 410 Sprint Cars attended BAPS on Sunday and Jackson kicked off the night by qualifying second quickest in his group during time trials. He then finished where he started – third – to lock himself into the A-main with the 12th starting position.

“We knew we had to be fast out the gate and we got a pretty good start to the heat race and was running second,” he said. “Ultimately, we slipped back to third and were able to get in the show which is obviously the goal each week.”

With a plan to continue to learn and make laps in mind, Jackson stayed steady inside of the top 15 for most of the 25-lap event. He narrowly missed out on his first career top-15 finish in the division after finishing 16th. However, with the high number of cars on hand, the team was happy to get in the show and bring the car home in one piece.

“Outside of a sanctioned event, I can’t really think of too many instances this early in the year to have 43 cars at the track,” said Jackson. “I didn’t expect that and I knew we had an uphill climb just to get in the show as a result. So ultimately to get in the show and run 16th is a pretty cool deal for us as a team and it’s something we can be proud of.”

Jackson will return to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before making his third start of the season at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Saturday.

“Mother Nature doesn’t look like it will do us any favors this weekend, but I’m excited to get back to the track and start contending for top 15 finishes and not just making shows,” said Jackson. “Lincoln is a track that I’ve kind of struggled at, but ultimately I think we’re learning there and hopefully we get in two A-main starts this weekend and some positive results.”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Score Career Best Finish in 410 Sprint Car Action

Mechanicsburg, PA – April 2, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing took a major step forward in their rise to the 410 Sprint Car ranks as the Newville, PA native brought home a career best 17th-place finish on Friday at Williams Gove Speedway.

A planned doubleheader in the winged and wingless sportsman on Saturday at BAPS Motor Speedway ended up cancelled because of inclement weather.

“We were at the Grove on opening day, but with a tough pill draw and tougher track conditions I felt like this was a first real crack at the track,” said Jackson. “This time around was a much better experience and while the finish could have been better, we made another show and we’re continuing to learn and grow.”

A total of 27 410 Sprint Cars attended the famed Mechanicsburg track on Friday and Jackson kicked off the night by finishing third in a heat race. As a result, he was able to lock into the night’s A-main event with the eighth starting position.

“There were a lot of good drivers in the heat race, and we were able to run in second for quite a bit and we did more than hold our own,” he said. “I think lack of experience cost us a little bit, but of course I’m still learning, and we need nights like that to move forward as a team.”

Jackson ran consistently in between the ninth and 12th position for a majority of the feature event. However, several frequent cautions early in the event didn’t allow for the opportunity to make consistent laps or to get in a rhythm. As a result, he settled for a 17th place finish, which earned him his first career top 20 finish in the 410 Sprint Car ranks.

“I think we had maybe a 12th place car honestly, but the cautions really hurt our ability to get in a rhythm and it was just tough,” said Jackson. “I think one of the biggest obstacles I have to overcome is restarts and being in dirty air. Inexperience played a part in us maybe not showing all that we could, but overall, it was a decent night.”

Jackson will return to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before making his second start of the season at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Saturday.

With tough weather conditions playing spoiler for much of the early season in Central Pennsylvania, Jackson and Hess are optimistically looking forward to the opportunity of a two-race weekend to help continue to speed up the learning curve of taking on a new division of Sprint Car racing.

“We found a few small issues with the car since the last time we raced at Lincoln, but we feel like we’re better prepared this time around,” said Jackson. “Obviously Mother Nature hasn’t been anyone’s friend in the area so far, but just having multiple options in the area is a plus and was a huge selling point in us moving to the 410 ranks. The best way to learn is to keep making laps and I’m optimistic and excited for what’s to come!”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Continue Learning Game in First BAPS 410 Sprint Car Start

York Haven, PA – March 27, 2024

Tony Jackson competed Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway in the Scott Hess Racing 410 Sprint Car and the Newville, Pa native brought home a 22nd-place finish. The 410 start was the third of his season and his first in the division at the York Haven, PA facility.

“With 34 cars in attendance, we had a goal to just make the show,” said Jackson. “Once we got it in the show, the goal was to then complete 30 laps and ultimately, we fell short of that. But the truth is we’ve made two features in three shows, so we’re off to a good start.”

Jackson kicked off the night in qualifying by laying down a fastest lap of 15.225 seconds, which was good enough for fourth quickest in his group. As a result, he started on the pole for a heat race. He ran second for five laps before falling to fourth and locked himself into the night’s A-main event.

“I didn’t get a good jump and Cory Eliason got by me, but we ultimately were able to pass him which was cool,” said Jackson. “For about five laps I was feeling like a rockstar, but I didn’t adjust accordingly and I kind of went into preservation mode to ensure we got in the show.”

Jackson lined up 16th for the 30-lap A-main and he settled into the 17th position for the first half of the race. However, two cars got together, and one turned around in front of him. This left him nowhere to go and ended his night early. He was credited with finishing 22nd.

“BAPS is the track I’m most familiar with, so it was nice to make some competitive laps there in the 410 and keep this racing journey moving forward,” he said. “We had some speed early in the night and we did some good things that we can build on, so overall we’ll chalk this one up as a learning experience.

Next up for Jackson will be a trip to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before running both winged and wingless in the sportsman on Saturday at BAPS.

With mother nature providing tough track conditions during his first start at Williams Grove earlier this season, Jackson feels like this weekend will give him a better feel of the historic facility and what it takes to be competitive there.

“The goal will be to get ourselves in the show and make as many laps as possible. I talked to Lance Dewease during my first start, and he reminded me that we were facing an uphill climb trying to learn in Central PA on a track as complex as Williams Grove when the weather did us no favors. Hopefully, we can get a nice surface this Friday and decent weather, so we can really get an idea of our package there and just learn as much as possible,” said Jackson.

“When it comes to the Sportsman, this is an opportunity to race in front of a lot of our sponsors and hopefully we can come home with two victories. If anything, maybe we can gain some confidence behind the wheel that will lend itself to the 410 side of things,” he added.

Tony Jackson Excels in Racing Season While Embarking on a New Career Journey

Carlisle, PA – September 14, 2023

Tony Jackson and Hess Motorsports continues to impress within the Super Sportsman division in 2023 as they’ve picked up six victories over the past few months, highlighted by his first career Sportsman 100 victory at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA.

The win capped off an eventful few months for the Carlisle, Pa native that saw him score three wins in winged competition (two at BAPS and one at Path Valley Speedway) and three in wingless action (Path Valley, Bedford Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway).

“We’ve had a really good run these past few months and my confidence is at an all-time high,” said Jackson. “Every time we hit the track, I feel confident we’ll be in contention, and it just speaks to how good of a team Scott Hess gives me.”

Specific to the Sportsman 100 triumph, Jackson and his father became the first father and son duo to claim victory in the 49th running of the historic event.

“It’s pretty special to add my name to the list of guys who have won that race, and for me and my dad to make history is something I’ll never forget.” he said. “As long as I can remember this race has meant a lot to me and my family and it was just really cool.”

With Jackson set to move up to the 410 Sprint Car ranks in 2024, the win was even more special as he knew it would likely be his final go at taking the crown.

“We may run it again in the future, but for all intent I knew it was kind of our last shot at getting a Sportsman 100 win,” said Jackson. “I kind of went into the race with the mentality that it was do or die and I was all in on coming home a winner.”

With his racing career reaching new heights, he is simultaneously gearing up for a fresh adventure in the motorsports industry. Over the next few months, Jackson will be taking part in several test and tune sessions at BAPS, with the goal of debuting behind the wheel of a 410 Sprint Car at the track for the $20,000 to win Les Stewart Final Showdown on November 11th.

“It’s been a fun year, but honestly I’m just ready to start focusing on 2024 and the 410 Sprint Car,” said Jackson. “We’re going to give it our all and this is the next logical step in that process.”

“I’ve had a lot of success at BAPS over the years and I’m really looking forward to practicing and getting comfortable there,” he added. “The offseason is a short one, but it can also be a long one. I don’t want to sit all offseason waiting for 2024 to get here and not be my best to start the year off. So, we’re going to kind of shake things down and we’ll see where we stack up come November against some good competition.”

Tony Jackson Set To Make the Jump From Super Sportsman to 410 Sprint Car Competition in 2024

Carlisle, PA – June 30, 2023

Tony Jackson, with the support of car-owner Scott Hess and Hess Motorsports, is proud to announce that he’ll be making the transition from Super Sportsman competition to 410 Sprint Car racing in 2024. This decision marks a significant step forward in his career and sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in his already impressive journey.

“We’ve been kicking it around now for a little bit and we just decided that now is the right time to make the move,” said Jackson. “I know it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead of us and seeing what we can do.”

The current plan is to tentatively run around 40 races next season, with a focus on special events at BAPS Motor Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway on Friday nights and Port Royal Speedway on Saturdays.

“We’ll start with places I’m comfortable at and just try and gain as much experience as possible,” said Jackson. “We’ve got a few possible cards on the table that could open things up a lot more next season, but right now this is the plan.”

“We’ve talked about possibly going out to Western PA a little bit as well, but really we’re just going into things with an open mind and we’ll see where it takes us,” he added.

With an impressive track record in the Super Sportsman series, Jackson has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, determination, and an unwavering passion for the sport. Over the years, he has carved a name for himself as a formidable force, capturing the attention of fans, competitors, and sponsors alike.

Jackson teamed up with Hess a few years ago in the Sportsman division and the wins have come in bunches. No stranger to the Sprint Car game as a longtime crew chief, owner and sponsor, Hess believes Jackson has the talent capable of not only making the jump to 410 Sprint Car racing, but to compete and challenge for wins.

“We’re really excited about building this team and we’re excited to get going,” said Hess. “I really believe Tony has the ability to win races at the next level and we’re excited to give him the opportunity to make his dream a reality.”

The decision to transition to the intense and highly competitive world of 410 Sprint Car racing in Central Pennsylvania represents Jackson’s commitment to pushing his limits and pursuing excellence in the sport. The move is driven by a burning desire to challenge himself further, test his skills against the best in the business, and chase the ultimate glory of victory at the highest level.

He’s also looking forward to continuing his family’s legacy, as his father Larry Jackson was a force to be reckoned with for decades in the Sportsman and 410 Sprint Car ranks.

“As a kid growing up at Silver Springs and watching my dad be as successful as he was, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t dream of winning races and racing too,” said Jackson. “He’s a well-known name in this area and being able to represent that legacy against the best in the business is something I’m really proud of and don’t take lightly.”

The team will utilize Maxim Chassis and a combination of Rider and Godfrey Racing Engines. Sponsors include Truck Specialties, Machining America, McCoy Brothers, Interstate Garage Doors, Family Ford, Custom Cut Floorings, Hess Iron, Donnie Reeser, Ken Brown Racing, Piper Advertising, K&H Suspension, Dellinger’s Auto Body, and Chamberlin and Wingert Sanitary Services.

The team’s sponsors, whose support has been instrumental in making this transition possible, are equally thrilled about the upcoming season. Their continued commitment and investment in Jackson demonstrate their belief in his talent and the potential for success in the fiercely competitive world of Central PA 410 Sprint Car racing.

“It means so much to me that Scott, his wife Lori, and my sponsors have the confidence in me to make all this possible,” said Jackson. “None of these people must do this and the only reason they are is because they believe I can do it and do it well. We’re working hard to build this team the right way and I’m looking forward to representing them at the track next season.”
