New Horizons: Hartlaub Joins Forces with O’Brien and Wagaman to Launch JTK Motorsports

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kody Hartlaub, Jimmy O’Brien, and Timmy Wagaman will establish a new 410 sprint car team—JTK Motorsports—beginning immediately.

The new team will be spearheaded by a co-owner group built around relationships, chemistry, and a shared commitment to the fundamentals—while keeping Hartlaub focused on the one thing that matters most: driving.  Jimmy O’Brien (J Fuels) and Timmy Wagaman (Freedom Offroad) will anchor the team.

“This whole situation has shown me just how fortunate I am to have such great people around me,” Hartlaub said. “When everything changed, it wasn’t, ‘That sucks, let’s find you a ride.’ Instead, Jimmy O’Brien and Timmy Wagaman immediately said, ‘Let’s build something better.’”

“The funny thing is, Jimmy and Timmy had never even met each other before,” Hartlaub continued. “We got together for what was supposed to be a quick meeting, and within minutes it was obvious that everyone was in this for the right reasons. What was planned as a short discussion turned into a couple of hours of ideas, laughs, and excitement.  We have our team in place, with Stephen Hamm-Reilly and Justin Reese turning the wrenches. I’m excited about what we can build together.”

Hartlaub noted that his partners and sponsors have chosen to stay committed to the effort. “I think it says a lot that my sponsors chose to stay with me as well. Their loyalty and belief in what we’re doing means more than I can put into words.”

He added, “There will be challenges along the way, but this team is made up of people who believe in pushing forward, working hard, and finding a way to succeed. That’s the foundation we’re building on, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.”

O’Brien and Wagaman will serve as co-owners, providing the equipment and program support needed to keep the operation moving and ready for race-day performance.

“Team ownership wasn’t originally a plan, but when Kody’s deal fell apart, I said we will never be in this situation again—this is an opportunity,” O’Brien said. “Kody really wants to race with Steven and Justin. I love Kody and his family, and I wanted to continue building what we started and have fun racing.”

Wagaman said the goal is to create the right environment for Hartlaub to keep progressing. “We want to give Kody the opportunity to clear his head and drive,” Wagaman said. “We have cars, a mule, parts, and good quality stuff—this group of people complements each other and brings different things to the table, all while having the same mindset. I have no time for drama—we want to build something together and have fun doing it.”

JTK Motorsports will be built around long-term chemistry between the driver, co-owners, and the crew team—while continuing to prioritize race readiness and performance each time Hartlaub steps into the cockpit.

The team will compete in the Steve Smith Sr. Tribute race with Hartlaub. Additional events will be announced if circumstances allow, but the team is not currently planning on any other 2026 outings.  The primary focus is on preparing for the 2027 season.

Crew Chief Stephen Hamm-Reilly and Car Chief Justin Reese will remain with Hartlaub as part of the new JTK Motorsports operation. Hamm-Reilly and Reese will focus on building, maintaining, and preparing a fast race car each time Hartlaub climbs behind the wheel.

From 2015-2025, Hamm-Reilly raced for a living, mostly on the road and sometimes back home in Pennsylvania, before pairing with Kody Hartlaub in September 2025. Hamm-Reilly and Justin Reese have known each other for a long time and are good friends, adding to the natural chemistry of the team.

“Hartlaub’s qualifying abilities are impressive given the limited number of 410 sprint car races he has under his belt,” Hamm-Reilly said. “For his level of experience, he’s ahead of some in certain phases of the sport, while he needs to polish some of the nuances in other phases. We set goals as a team because producing more top-10 finishes leads to more top-five finishes, more podium finishes, and eventually wins. The mental part of the game is important for every team member, and this group is in a great position collectively. Jimmy, Timmy, the sponsors, and everyone believe in each other and feel there’s a confidence and chemistry that can be capitalized on.”

The design and car number for JTK Motorsports will be announced when finalized.

Fans can follow the team and Hartlaub at KodyHartlaub.com and Kody Hartlaub Racing on Facebook for the latest updates.

Busy May Gives Lattomus More Valuable 410 Sprint Car Experience

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lewes, DE – June 4, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Preston Lattomus said from the beginning that his rookie campaign in a winged 410 sprint car would be all about seat time—the more laps, the better.

That approach is proving to be the right one in a Central Pennsylvania sprint car scene that offers plenty of speed while also demanding quick adaptation. For Lattomus, the method has been simple: keep racing, keep learning, and focus on the small improvements that add up over a night-to-night stretch.

“In my head, racing 11 times in one month helps me move on from the previous race and start thinking about the next one,” Lattomus explained. “As far as learning goes, being in a car that frequently also helps with minimizing mistakes and learning from them because of those previous mistakes being so fresh in my head.”

Learning Curve: Starts, Restarts, and Early Confidence

Over the course of the month, the biggest gains for Lattomus have come from the areas he and the team have been attacking repeatedly—particularly starts and restarts.

“Towards the end of the month, I started to improve on the biggest thing for us recently, starts and restarts,” he said. “The last couple of races, I felt very comfortable early in the race when previously I did not.”

Lattomus also noted that even nights where the results didn’t match what the team was working toward still provided valuable education.

“The Touring races came with a learning experience, even though I did not qualify for the A-mains,” he explained. “One thing I learned was how tough qualifying is when the best in the world are in town, and how small the gap becomes from being 10th and 20th.”

Tough Fields, Positive Mindset, and Gaining Perspective

Racing against elite competition has also impacted the way Lattomus thinks about performance—especially when things don’t go as planned.

“Another thing is when racing against those guys and not doing well, I had to keep a positive mindset and not get discouraged,” Lattomus said.

When he discussed what has been most challenging about competing against the Outlaws-caliber fields, Lattomus pointed to the same theme as his biggest improvement focus: the early phase of the night.

“The thing that killed me the most, racing against the Outlaws, was starts,” he said. “Everyone is already so good that it becomes harder to pass, especially early on in the night. So after qualifying, I think not advancing on starts was a big one.”

Despite the learning curve, his confidence hasn’t been shaken.

“As far as confidence goes, it hasn’t hindered,” Lattomus said. “But our perspective on it has definitely changed because of what our expectations have become.”

Short-Term Goals and What Comes Next

Lattomus described the team’s near-term goals as consistent runs near the front, with results that reflect the work he’s putting in week to week.

“The short-term goal is top 5s and strong top 10s,” he explained. “I’ve had plenty of opportunities to do that and haven’t always succeeded. But the confidence of being able to do that consistently is there. The more consistent we are able to get upfront, the wins and impressive finishes are coming.”

Adjustments Off the Track: Scheduling and Strategy

Along with development on the race car, the plan has also shifted in how the team approaches upcoming weekends. Lattomus said the Ohio events have been removed from the schedule.

“We are no longer running the Ohio races and plan to stick to the local races that weekend,” he said. “The local stuff is where we can keep building, keep learning, and keep logging laps.”

Speedweek Excitement: Grindy, Valuable, and Worth It

Looking ahead, Lattomus is already focused on one of the most demanding opportunities of the season: Speedweek.

“The 10 nights of Speedweek are always something to look forward to, even though it’s one of the most grueling you can do as a race team,” Lattomus said. “As a driver, and we as a team do it and want to compete because we love it. So definitely excited for what Speedweek has to offer.”

Built With Support in the Pit

Lattomus credits a strong support group for helping him process everything that comes with rookie 410 racing—both on race nights and between events.

“Kyle and Scott have been great,” he shared. “I told Kyle I feel like I need to do a better job of giving feedback on what I feel and what I need. There’s a lot to process and get used to, so I can be good at that. I’ll get there.”

With Scott McClaren handling much of the decision-making and adjustment work from the 358 experience, and Kyle Reinhardt now mentoring after stepping out of the 410 seat, the team is building continuity—translating feedback and seat time into small performance gains that are meant to show up over time.

Upcoming Weekend: More Laps at Williams Grove, Lincoln, and BAPS

Lattomus is also looking forward to a packed three-race weekend aimed at maximizing seat time and continuing the team’s momentum.

Over the upcoming June 5-7 weekend, the team will compete at:

  • Williams Grove Speedway (Friday)
  • Lincoln Speedway (Saturday)
  • BAPS Motor Speedway (Sunday)

“The challenge of putting together the best laps I can in qualifying or in a race is exciting to me,” Lattomus said. “I’m excited about the opportunity I have to race this Capitol Custom Trailers & Coaches, EZGO Golf Cars, Betts Garage No.91 sprint car. I’m excited because I know what we can and will accomplish eventually.”

Focus Moving Forward

At this stage of the season, Lattomus isn’t chasing perfection—he’s building it. With a clear focus on learning faster, improving starts and restarts, and keeping his mindset steady against tough competition, he’s setting the foundation for the stronger runs he believes are coming.

“I try to focus on the big picture—the learning, the improvements,” Lattomus said. “If I get too wrapped up in results, it can take a toll on my confidence. I just take a day to process our night, put things in perspective, and learn from the opportunities.”

Hard Charger Run With Outlaws Highlights Streak of Consistent Performances for Tyler Ross

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lincoln University, PA – May 21, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tyler Ross stretched his streak of top-ten finishes into May, reaching six consecutive top tens, including two top-five finishes.

A model of consistency, Ross has finished in the top ten 13 times in 16 races in 2026, with the most recent of those being a top-five finish at the wheel of the McGough No.669 URC 360 sprint car.

MOTIVATING MAY

One of the highlights of Ross’s streak was a 7th-place finish against the World of Outlaws at the wheel of the Bush Auto Group, Fastrak Express Inc., Stateline Truck and Trailer, Stoltzfus Farm Service, Betts Garage Ross Racing No.5.

Ross earned the Hard Charger Award in that event, racing from the 24th starting spot to the 7th-place finish after a disappointing time trial result.

“That run showed we can run with those guys, and it showed the ‘don’t give up’ attitude our team has,” Ross shared.

“It’s cool to be able to say we had a run like that, but we know we have to be better early.  That said, it definitely brought our confidence right back.  My guys never gave up after time trials, and they kept my head up.  It was a team effort, and I think it showed we  have a solid group and that we work well together.”

Unfortunately, the streak ended this week when Ross encountered some bad luck in his heat race at Grandview Speedway with the High Limit Series on Tuesday night.  He was able to bounce back and make the show through the B-main, ultimately recording a 16th-place finish, one spot short of another Hard Charger achievement.

“I know it wasn’t intentional.  That’s racing.  We were fortunate to have timed well enough that I could start on the front row of the B-main,” Ross said of the contact in the heat race that cost him a chance to transfer directly to the main event.

The bump in the road doesn’t diminish the momentum Ross has built thus far in the 2026 season.  The team has established a solid foundation of speed to build on this summer.

During the recent six-race top-ten streak, on three occasions Ross raced from a starting position outside the top ten to achieve the result.  Ross is looking to continue the speed the team has shown and the ability to pass cars, but take the next step.

“Like I said before, we know we need to get a little bit better early in the evening, and we will be fine.  We need to stick to what we know and not outthink ourselves.  If we do that, we will convert those top ten finishes into top fives and podiums into wins,” Ross commented.

SWAG, PLUS THE ROAD AHEAD

Ross has new 2026 merch in stock for fans.  T-shirts and hoodies are available in black or grey.  Pick up your favorite at the track behind the grandstand or at the team’s trailer in the pits.

Shirts are $25, and hoodies are $40. There is a limited supply of hoodies, so get yours now!

The busy summer schedule, including Pennsylvania Speedweek, lies ahead, so after the recent busy stretch of demanding races, Ross will take the upcoming weekend off to rebuild and regroup.

Ross Racing has not set its schedule for the remainder of the season yet, but it will likely look very similar to the pick-and-choose approach they have used thus far in 2026, with frequent appearances at Lincoln Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, with other big races added to the mix on occasion.

As of now, plans are for Ross to return to the track on May 30th at Lincoln Speedway for the PA Posse Series event.

Fans should follow “Ross Racing 5” on Facebook to keep up with schedule updates and news throughout Tyler’s season!

ABOUT  TYLER ROSS

Tyler started his racing career in 2002 in quarter midgets. At the age of 14, he jumped into the 600 micro scene. At the age of 18, he started his sprint car career in the 358 division and, shortly after, jumped to the 410 division. He owns (9) 358 sprint wins, (4) 360 URC feature wins, and (7) 410 sprint car feature wins, plus he earned the 2015 URC Rookie of the Year award.

Newlin Shows Team’s Ability to Make the Most of Opportunities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Port Royal, PA – May 12, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

If you have been paying attention, there have been recent signs that Zach Newlin and his team are making progress.

After numerous years of fielding winning 305 and 358 sprint cars, Zach Newlin and his family resurrected the Newlin Racing 11z in 2023, this time as a 410 sprint car program.  He acknowledged that establishing a competitive 410 team in Central Pennsylvania would be a slow process, especially given the budget they have to work with.

That process can be a daunting one, at times taking a toll on anyone’s determination, no matter how passionate they are.

Nothing puts fuel back in the tank like glimpses of promise.

HOW IT STARTED

Newlin only entered a handful of events in 2023 and 2024, picking his spots that provided the best opportunity to get the most laps.  Factors like the amount of tow money (what teams are paid if they don’t qualify), expected car counts, and event format (draw vs. time trial) all have to be considered to give a team the best chance to gain experience and hopefully put some money in their pocket at the end of the night.

The team battled through some growing pains early on, including fueling issues and other ‘wrinkles’ that took some time to iron out.  Making A-mains was hit-or-miss for Newlin during those years.

Finally, in 2025, although still picking his spots, Newlin got more steady seat time, which allowed him and crew chief, brother Lance Newlin, to start to build a better notebook and figure out how to get the most out of what they had to work with.

HOW IT’S GOING

The team started 2026 with a new (to them) RPM chassis, which has required a lot of trial and error to determine how to get the most speed out of it.

Newlin has entered four races at three different tracks during the first month of his 2026 season, and he has qualified for all four A-mains.

At Port Royal Speedway on May 2nd, Newlin showed he has found the speed to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves.

A good pill draw put Newlin on the front row of his heat race.  He held his own and survived a mid-race restart to hold off a couple of veterans and record a 2nd-place finish to put his team solidly in the A-main.

“We have been trying to find the right balance in the car.  What works for others may not work for us since we are down about 100 horsepower compared to some teams.  We scaled the car recently, trying to learn where we might need to make adjustments,” Newlin explained.

“We’re getting closer to figuring this car out for early in the night, but we have some work to do on the setup with a full load of fuel for the feature.”

Newlin started 11th in the 25-lap A-main, but his race ended early when an incident occurred in front of his Butler Hill Maple Farm, Falcon Machine Service, Fisher’s Heating A/C Electrical, Pandemonium Bar & Grill, Strange Oval, Newlin Bar Service No.11z.

“I felt a little tight in the early going of the feature, but I’m really bummed we got caught up in an incident and didn’t get to see how good we really were,” Newlin said.

“I knew we made contact, but I wasn’t sure how much damage there was, if any.  Without guaranteed time in the work area, we couldn’t really look at it.  After the restart, the car didn’t feel right, and I had a small vibration, so we called it a night. “

“I want to thank everyone who supports this team, no matter how big or small their contribution is.  We could not do this without them.  We are determined to make the most of what they provide.”

Newlin’s next 410 sprint car race will be at BAPS Motor Speedway on May 17th.  The return of the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car is still in the works, but the season debut will have to wait a couple more weeks.

ABOUT ZACH NEWLIN

Zach started racing go-karts in 1998 at the age of 10, stepped up to 600 micro sprints in 2005, and moved into 305 sprints in 2013. Following seven highly successful seasons in the 305 sprint car ranks, he moved into the 358 sprint car ranks in 2020. He found victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway in his rookie season in the Newlin Racing 11z and was awarded Rookie of the Year honors. He has piloted the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car since 2021 and captured another Williams Grove victory aboard that car in 2023. Zach gained 410 sprint car experience with a few car owners from 2020-2022, including making his first World of Outlaws A-main at the wheel of the Pryde Motorsports No.29 in 2022, before making the decision to build his own 410 sprint car program by resurrecting the Newlin Racing 11z in 2023.

Preston Lattomus Delivers Top Five In First Trip To Lernerville

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sarver, PA – April 29, 2026

Preston Lattomus continues to build on the consistent foundation he has established early in his sophomore 410 sprint car season.

The path leading to success in racing is full of peaks and valleys along the way, but it’s a good sign when the peaks continue to get a little higher each time.

KEEPING IT GOING

At Williams Grove Speedway on April 17th, Lattomus didn’t make headlines, but his run was a confidence builder and an indication of the improvements the team is making to be better at the end of the night.  After qualifying 16th and finishing 6th in his heat race, he drove from 16th to 11th in the A-main to end his night on a positive note.

“The surface was super tacky, and we did not time where we wanted to. We were in a pretty stacked heat, and passing was tough, so we started deeper than we expected to,” Lattomus commented.

“I made some passes to get up to 11th and pretty much battled for a top ten spot the whole race. With a few smarter decisions, I feel I could have been a couple spots better.”

Twenty-four hours later, Lattomus unloaded at Lincoln Speedway and was in a similar position early after qualifying 11th in his group and falling back to an 8th-place finish in his heat race.  He raced from 10th to 6th in the B-main but was unable to transfer to the finale.

It was another one of those valleys on the journey.

“Lincoln was tough because of a mistake and a tough passing track in the heat race.  That put us behind all night,” Lattomus shared.

“The competition is so tough, there’s just no room for mistakes.  I’m working hard to eliminate those.”

Last Friday night, Lattomus and the No.91 team ventured to Lernerville Speedway for the Lewes, DE driver’s first laps there in a 410 sprint car.

Lattomus qualified 5th quickest, a solid start with so few laps under his belt at the Sarver, PA facility.  He backed that up by winning his heat race from the 2nd starting spot.  It was his 3rd heat race win of the season, each one coming at a different track.

In the 25-lap main event, Lattomus started 6th.  He raced as high as 4th for much of the race but settled for a 5th-place finish to earn his second top-five of the season.

“We made the decision to skip racing in Central Pennsylvania last weekend to travel to Lernerville just to get experience at a new track and learn. Lernerville is certainly a unique track from anywhere I have ever raced before,” Lattomus explained.

“I led every lap of the heat race, which gave me the opportunity to get eight solid laps by myself and learn the track a little bit better. We showed we had plenty of speed, even at a place that is new to me, and Kyle hadn’t been to in a few years.”

“It felt really good to battle inside the top five throughout the feature. The track got to a point where I have never seen a track that slick ever. That certainly made it even more of a learning experience.”

“I’m glad we made the trip out there and definitely excited to get back there as well as get to new tracks in the future.”

It shouldn’t go unnoticed that the consistency the Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches, EZGO / Golf Cart Services, Betts Garage, Magoo’s Motorsickles No.91 team is showing is coming at a variety of tracks.  Lattomus and his team are getting things right to make them successful anywhere they go.

UPCOMING PLANS

Lattomus will open the month of May with a hefty schedule of six races in nine days, three of which will be with the World of Outlaws.  Visit PrestonLattomus.com for specific dates, locations, merchandise, results, and news!

Ross Heats Up as Big Month of May Approaches

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – April 29, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tyler Ross looks like he has found his groove.  He has delivered two top-tens, including a podium finish in his most recent outing at Lincoln Speedway.

IN A RHYTHM

At BAPS Motor Speedway on April 12th, Ross qualified 5th in his group but then, after heat race issues, had to battle back from the 19th starting spot in the 30-lap A-main.  He charged forward 11 spots to earn an 8th-place finish.

“We started well, but put ourselves behind in the heat. My guys kept my head up, and we battled back to a top ten.  Nights like that give us a lot of confidence in each other,” Ross said.

One week later, Ross turned in an even better performance at Lincoln Speedway.  After qualifying 2nd quickest in his group, he raced from 4th to a runner-up finish in his heat race, then backed it up by advancing from 6th to 3rd in the feature event.

“We went out late for our time in our group and laid down a solid lap. Just had to execute the rest of the night,” Ross commented.

“I am very happy with the consistency. The car is stable and maneuverable. The team is working well together. We just have to keep grinding.”

“It comes down to time trials, and as I said, it lets us put it in our own hands. We seem to be timing well, and I’m happy about that with these big races coming up.”

Ross has six top-ten finishes in nine races this season, including two podium performances.  In those six main events, he has passed a total of 28 cars.  That kind of speed and consistency will eventually deliver wins.

“Being happy with our speed and consistency, we’re just looking at one race at a time and doing the best we can. We’re having fun right now, and that’s making everything else fall into place,” Ross shared.

“We know tough times will come; it’s just going to be about how we navigate those nights.”

LOOKING AHEAD

Ross’s plans to compete at Bridgeport Motorsports Park last weekend were washed away by rain, so he has now turned his attention to some big races on the horizon.

The Lincoln University, PA-based team will be at Lincoln Speedway and BAPS Motorspeedway this weekend to open the month of May.  Their third race in five days will come against the World of Outlaws at Lincoln Speedway, and the team may add May 8th at Williams Grove Speedway with the Outlaws to their plans as well.

Tyler is also slated to race the McGough No.669 360 sprint car with the United Racing Club (URC) at Port Royal Speedway on May 16th.  The following night, May 17th, he plans to be back in his own No.5 at BAPS Motor Speedway.

The next stop during the busy month of May for Ross will take him to Grandview Speedway to compete with High Limit Racing in his own Bush Auto Group, Fastrak Express Inc., Stateline Truck and Trailer, Stoltzfus Farm Service, Betts Garage No.5.

Lattomus Begins To Shine: Everything Is Starting To Click

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

York Haven, PA – April 16, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Consistency is a good thing.  Consistency allows a team to establish a connection between their actions and the results.

Preston Lattomus has been the definition of consistent so far during the 2026 sprint car season.  He has performed well in qualifying and faced similar challenges later in the event most nights.

The Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches, EZGO / Golf Cart Services, Betts Garage, Magoo’s Motorsickles No.91 team is working hard to build on that solid foundation to find the key to reaching the next level of performance.

THE RESULTS

Lattomus opened the month of April with a two-race weekend at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways.  He achieved a 410 sprint car career first by winning his heat race both nights.  He started on the front row in both main events, finishing 9th and 5th.

Over the most recent weekend, Lattomus raced at Port Royal Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, again starting out strong by qualifying 4th quickest in his group both nights and posting 3rd place finishes in his heat race both nights.

Lattomus started 14th and 10th, respectively, in those A-mains and finished 16th in both.

BREAKING IT DOWN

So, what challenges has Lattomus faced in the A-mains that have affected his finishes?

“Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had plenty of speed in the beginning of the night, with qualifying shows and heat races that have been good enough to put us starting up front in the feature.  I think the biggest thing for me in the feature is just racing with the other cars,” Lattomus explained.

The reason for falling short of translating potential into desired results?  Sometimes it’s not as simple as ‘missing the setup’.

It’s been said that driving winged 410 sprint cars is like strapping yourself to a rocket and trying to steer it.  Making all the right moves and decisions behind the wheel to get the most out of a sprint car is an art that one learns over time through experience.

Lattomus continued.  “For me, the racecraft of passing isn’t a big deal, but I need to work on the aero aspects.  I need to do a better job of getting my wing speed up on the starts and restarts.  I feel like I have lost every position on a restart, and I have to work extra hard to get it back.”

“The car has been very good the last couple of weeks, definitely better than what I have to show for it.”

It takes man and machine working together to get the desired results, and right now, Lattomus says his machine is ready, so he’s working hard to do his part.

Lattomus continued.  “Racing more with the better cars helps, and I’m able to do that lately with the car having good speed throughout the night.  I know the more I get to race up front, the more accustomed I will get to staying up front, and that’s what I look forward to.”

The Lewes, Delaware driver has proven to be a quick study at every level of racing he has taken on, and to further demonstrate that point, he is doing it again in what Tony Stewart has said are the toughest race cars on the planet to drive, winged 410 sprint cars.

“As far as my progress and development go, I am putting together some great laps every night, and it’s a big positive to have that kind of consistency.  Last year, I really didn’t know what I was doing; this year, I understand what I need to do for the car to work to its potential,” Lattomus shared.

“Simply understanding what creates speed has been key for me. Yet, I maintain the mindset of improving each time I hit the track, focusing on different areas, whether it’s hitting my marks or driving the car as it is intended.”

UPCOMING PLANS

Lattomus will compete at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways in Pennsylvania this weekend.  The Friday and Saturday shows are PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series events, with the latter also being the annual Weldon Sterner Memorial.

Fans can keep up with Preston’s schedule, results, team news, and all the latest information at PrestonLattomus.com.

Zach Newlin Set for Double Duty in Newlin Racing 410 and Mansberger 358 in 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Millerstown, PA – April 9, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Zach Newlin is poised for a busy 2026 racing season, a welcome change compared to the limited seat time last season.

The Millerstown, PA driver will take on the continued challenge of building the family-owned 410 winged sprint car program, plus he will return to the 358 sprint car division for numerous races.

RETURN OF THE 21M

We have more to tell you about the plans for the Newlin Racing 11z this season, but first, we want to share some good news.

The Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car team will return for 2026 with Newlin at the wheel.

Newlin wheeled the car for four seasons for the late Dan Mansberger from 2021-2024, including returning the team to victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway in 2023.

After a little over a year on the sidelines, Dan’s son, Nathan Mansberger, is continuing the family tradition.

Realistically, the 21m is my chance of winning races this year, so I’m definitely ready to get back to being competitive in that car,” Newlin commented.

The team will compete at Williams Grove Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway this season.

410 UPDATE

Not long after Newlin’s 2025 season ended prematurely with a bent frame, he acquired another RPM Chassis with help from supporter Butler Hill Maple Farm and began building a new car.  That project was completed last week after the refreshed motor was dropped between the frame rails, and the fresh wrap was applied.

While Newlin is known for sporting a specific shade of green on many of his cars over the years, he has also strayed from that with white and black cars.  This year’s car leverages that ‘Zach Daddy Green’ in a whole new way.

Newlin’s son, Caleb, designed this year’s car.  He came up with a beautiful, eye-catching scheme that transitions from white to orange to green from front to back.

“I thought Caleb’s design was super cool.  Who else gets to race a car their kid designed?” an excited Newlin shared.

“We are building this 410 program, but we know it’s going to take time.  We are going to go out and try our hardest with the hand we are dealt.”

Newlin plans to compete in 20-25 races at Port Royal, BAPS, Selinsgrove, and Path Valley Speedways in Central PA.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Winged 410 sprint car racing is an expensive venture and requires a lot of support.  Newlin Racing is fortunate to have dedicated partners who have enabled it to continue building its program.

Returning as Newlin Racing’s primary partner for the 2026 season is Butler Hill Maple Farm.  The Knoxville, PA-based business offers high-quality maple products, including syrup, infused syrups, and sweet treats, all handcrafted by 31-year U.S. Army veteran Corrie Bacon. Experience the finest maple flavors.  Visit ButlerHillMapleFarm.com or call 607-426-5820.  Taste the rich tradition of Butler Hill Maple Farm!

Falcon Machine Service joined the team in 2025 and is back for another campaign.  Falcon Machine Service provides expert CNC machine service and repairs across the Mid Atlantic, focusing on optimizing equipment performance through maintenance and support. Numerous other supporters make it possible for the small, family-owned Newlin Racing team to race, including Black Cat Tattoo, Ron’s RV Sales, Nesbit Innovations, Engler Machine, Black Cat Diesel, The Race Shop, Smoke Whisper BBQ, Roger Snyder Insurance, Safety-Kleen, AL Driveline, HRF Racing Fuels, RPM Chassis, Hershey Racing Engines, and Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management.

“We can’t thank everyone who supports us enough.  This literally would not be possible without each one of them,” Newlin said, gesturing toward his sharp-looking 410 sprint car.

Tyler Ross Feeling Good Despite Recent Roller Coaster Results

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – April 8, 2026

Coming off back-to-back top-ten finishes, including a podium, to open the month of March, Tyler Ross was feeling good about the team’s speed and fast start.

As a veteran 410 sprint car racer, Ross knows every day is a new day and nothing in the sport is guaranteed.  You control what you can control and hope that is good enough to produce the results you want.

UPS AND DOWNS

On March 22nd, Ross ventured to Williams Grove Speedway for their season-opener.  An undesirable pill draw put the Lincoln University, PA driver behind the eight ball from the start of the night.  Despite moving forward in the heat, it was only good enough to earn the 19th starting spot for the 25-lap A-main.

Ross worked his way up to 16th by lap ten, but his progress had stalled, and with the daytime surface making passing difficult, he opted to save his equipment.

“We have to make smart choices with our resources.  It’s how the sport is for most teams these days.  It’s just not worth it to put laps on our motor and use up our equipment when we are running mid-pack or worse,” Ross explained.

One week later, Ross unloaded at BAPS Motor Speedway and got back on track.  He timed 5th quickest in his group, moved forward in his heat race, started 13th in the 30-lap A-main, and converted it into an 8th-place finish on a top-dominant surface that saw slide jobs used as the primary means of forward progress.

Ross returned to The Grove to open the month of April, and despite being down a cylinder at times throughout the night, turned in another top-ten finish.  A solid 7th to 4th performance in his heat race put him 11th on the grid for the main event, and his efforts resulted in a 7th-place finish.

The following night, the team was back at Lincoln Speedway, where they had been running very well thus far in 2026.  This night started well enough with a 5th-place heat race performance.  In the feature, Ross had quickly moved from 14th to 10th in the early going when disaster struck.  He was left with nowhere to go when a crash unfolded in front of him.  The damage was limited, thankfully, but it ended his night.

“We were really going good until that incident.  We definitely had a top-ten car…and honestly, I think we were good enough to get to the top five,” Ross lamented.

“We were fortunate to even be here.  Shout out to the guys at Don Ott Racing engines.  We stopped by there today, and they quickly found the cause of last night’s cylinder issue and fixed us up so we could race tonight.”

SUMMING IT UP

The two recent top-ten finishes, bookended by two DNFs, are not what Ross focuses on.  That’s not how Ross Racing measures success.

“Finishes never tell the whole story.  Our entire team is happy right now because we have had speed and we have been passing cars,” Ross said.

“I’m really looking forward to time trial shows where we have more control of our night.  I think we are going to be just fine.  The podiums and wins will come if we keep doing what we are doing.”

The stats certainly back up Ross’s perspective.  He is +20 positions in heat race and feature finishes combined, in which he has seen the checkered flag thus far in 2026.

LOOKING AHEAD

Ross’s next race will be this weekend at BAPS Motor Speedway when the track hosts 410 sprint cars at 5 pm on Sunday, April 12th.
