Kyle Reinhardt returned home to Pennsylvania coming off a good showing over four nights at Eldora Speedway in Ohio.  To keep the momentum going, he had just a few days to prepare because the World of Outlaws series was also headed to the Keystone State to take on the PA Posse at BAPS Motor Speedway.

  • Date:  July 20, 2023
  • Event:  Bricker’s Bash
  • TrackBAPS Motor Speedway
  • City, State:   York Haven, PA
  • Quick Stats:  32 cars, Qualifying 25th, Heat 4th (7), A-main 14th (13)

Fast Out of the Gate

Reinhardt had a solid record at BAPS Motor Speedway in 2023 coming into the matchup with the Outlaws, including a win in the Greg Hodnett Foundation race on June 1st in the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91.

Wednesday night, July 19th Reinhardt was among a field of 35 drivers ready for competition and he got his night off to a great start despite a late draw for qualifying.  The Neptune City, NJ native ripped off the 8th quickest lap overall and earned a front row starting spot in his heat.

Moments later, the skies opened up and Mother Nature washed out any chance of cashing in on the hot start.

Take Two

Teams returned Thursday night to try again.  The program started over from the beginning with Reinhardt once again going out late in the qualifying order.  This time he found himself 25th quickest with an uphill battle ahead of him.

Reinhardt rebounded quickly in his heat race by blasting from his 7th starting spot into the 4th spot on the opening lap.  He held on to that transfer spot for the next seven circuits to lock himself into the A-main.

In the 30-lap finale, Reinhardt found himself in tight battles with Kasey Kahne, Donny Schatz and others throughout the fast-paced race.  When the dust had settled, he had earned a 14th place finish.

Just really missed the line in time trials and that put us behind.  Then were just kind of there in the feature after recovering good in the heat race.“, Reinhardt said.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Up Next

Reinhardt will sit out this weekend’s action as the team works to get their engines sorted out for the upcoming Knoxville Nationals and awaits repairs to their toter.

Tentatively, if everything falls into place in time, Reinhardt would like to make the trip to Grandview Speedway on July 25th to race with the High Limit Sprint Car Series and to Port Royal Speedway for the Living Legends Dream Race/Greg Hodnett Classic.

Kyle Reinhardt loaded up and headed to Ohio riding a nice wave of momentum from a career best Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek performance that resulted in a top five finish in series points.

Heading into four consecutive nights of the toughest fields and potentially most lucrative races of the season in the first ever Eldora Million and 40th Annual King’s Royal, he would need every bit of that momentum and the confidence that came with it.

Million Prelim

A massive field of 83 sprint cars made their way to western Ohio’s Eldora Speedway to take their shot at the sports first ever million dollar to win race.  Just making the starting field would pay more than most could earn for winning a feature event.

For Wednesday’s preliminary night program, the field was split into two groups and each ran their own complete show, earning points throughout the night that would set the lineups for Thursday night’s heat races.  Reinhardt timed 19th quickest in Group A.

Reinhardt started 4th in his heat race, needing to stay in the top five to make the preliminary night’s Group A feature.  He did just that, coming home 5th.

The qualifying run put Reinhardt 14th on the starting grid for the A-main.  In only his fourth career start at ‘The Big E’, he had the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 on point as he moved into the top ten as the race approached the halfway mark.

The caution flag waived at the halfway mark with Reinhardt running 11th.  The ensuing restart cost the Neptune City, NJ native a couple spots and he ultimately finished 14th.

Racing for a Big Payday

The field of 83 returned for Thursday’s finale with six heat races already laid out based on Wednesday’s results.  Only the top three finishers would transfer directly to the Eldora Million starting field, while the rest would be thrust into the dogfights known as the C-main and B-main to scrap for one of the remaining starting spots.

Reinhardt started 5th in his heat race but was unable to make any forward progress and was relegated to the B-main.  That’s where he started to turn some heads.

On the opening lap, Reinhardt broke into the top ten and by lap ten he was knocking on the door of a transfer spot.  The following trip around he claimed the 6th spot and held on to the end to take the final transfer spot into the Eldora Million.

Reinhardt wasn’t done passing cars.  After the ceremonial driver introductions and class photo for the first ever million dollar sprint car race, he strapped in and went back to work.

From his 24th starting spot in the 50-lap A-main, Reinhardt climbed to 17th just before the halfway mark and held on to finish there.

Royal Prelim

Friday night brought a shift of gears to the World of Outlaws sanctioned Knight Before the King’s Royal.  Kyle Reinhardt was back at it Friday night right along with  66 other teams who remained in the house for the show.

After qualifying 17th in Group B, Reinhardt drove from 8th to 6th in his heat race, one spot shy of transferring to the A-main.  In the B-main, Reinhardt hung tough in 4th throughout the race to claim the final transfer spot once again.

For the second consecutive night he was in the show and he would have his work cut out for him from the 24th starting spot.  On this night, Reinhardt only had 30 laps to work with, not 50 like the night before.  Once again Reinhardt started his progression early and managed to make his way into 17th at the checkered flag.

Competing for Royalty

After making three of the toughest feature fields of the season on three consecutive nights, Reinhardt was feeling optimistic about his team’s chances to race their way into the $175,000-to-win 40th Annual King’s Royal on Saturday night against 60 other capable teams.

Unfortunately, Reinhardt developed engine issues after hot laps and didn’t compete the remainder of the night.

Assessing the Week

“I’m really happy with our effort at Eldora Speedway this past week!  We improved every night while making some of the biggest shows of the year.“, Reinhardt said.

We felt really good going into Saturday’s King’s Royal and went P4 in hot laps.  Unfortunately, our engine started to lay down in qualifying.  I made two laps in the heat race but it was still struggling, so that ended our week.  I want to thank everyone who has a hand in our program, plus of course Chris, Lawton and Kent for busing their butts all week long!

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Up Next

Reinhardt will take on the World of Outlaws on his home turf at BAPS Motor Speedway’s Bricker’s Bash on July 19th and (tentatively) the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway on July 21st-22nd.  The latter is tentative because the team is awaiting completion of a repair to the motor they need for that event.

Reinhardt Turns Heads With Top 5 Pennsylvania Speedweek Points Finish

Team Will Race Selinsgrove Sunday Then Head West for Eldora Million and Kings Royal

Port Royal, PA – July 7, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Coming into the final four nights of the 2023 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek, Kyle Reinhardt was sitting 6th in series points with his goal of an overall top five finish alive and well.

Reinhardt had positioned himself there by logging feature finishes of 12th, 6th, 7th, and 10th in the four A-mains that had been completed out of the first six scheduled nights.

Mother Nature appeared poised to rob Reinhardt of some or all of his final four chances to improve his points position.  Despite her best efforts, he got his chances and got it done.

Groovin' at The Grove

The 35th annual Mitch Smith Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway, sporting a total purse of $50,000, attracted a field of 29 cars Friday night, June 30th.

Reinhardt, who had four top-ten finishes in his first four starts at the famed facility this season, logged the 12th fastest lap in qualifying in a highly competitive field.  To demonstrate just how competitive, a mere 0.075 seconds better would have put the Neptune City, NJ native 8th in the results.

Reinhardt ‘held serve’ in his heat race, starting and finishing 3rd, which put him 10th on the starting grid for the night’s 30-lap finale.  He wasted no time, surging to 8th on the opening lap.  He held that spot for the opening ten trips around, slipped back to 9th briefly, then regained his momentum.

As the race entered the final ten laps, Reinhardt’s No.91 came alive.  He moved into 7th on lap twenty, then took possession of 6th on lap twenty-six and held down that spot to the finish.

Wet Weekend

It was a typical humidity-filled, late-afternoon, summer thunderstorms kind of weekend in Central Pennsylvania.  The active weather pattern claimed two victims.  Saturday’s Greg Hodnett Classic at Port Royal Speedway and Sunday’s Opperman-Bogar-Heinztelman Memorial at Selinsgrove both were wiped off the Speedweek schedule by the weather.  The latter was rescheduled to the following weekend but would not carry Speedweek points.

Monday’s Speedweek finale at Port Royal Speedway almost survived but the rains hit as time trials were nearing completion.  Fortunately, Tuesday was available as a rain date for that event.

Speed Palace Finale

Thirty five team returned to Port Royal Speedway on Independence Day for the Keith Kauffman Classic, which would pay $15,000 to the victor.

Reinhardt has had his share of struggles at The Speed Palace in recent years but on this night, he went out 23rd for qualifying and turned in the 5th quickest lap in the field, his best time trial result of speedweek in the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91.

Going from the pole of the first heat of the night, Reinhardt needed to win to make the redraw.  He dominated the first seven laps before a late caution.  The ensuing restart had Lance Dewease on his tail and the veteran took his shot at Reinhardt, getting by in turn one to briefly claim the top spot.

Reinhardt crossed over and drove back under Dewease coming to the checkered flag, winning the heat race by a slim 0.025 seconds.

The redraw didn’t go Reinhardt’s way as he pulled the number eight from the bag, putting him outside the fourth row for the 30-lap main event.  One the opening lap he charged to 6th and remained there for a handful of circuits before slipping to 7th.

In the closing laps, Reinhardt was battling a tight racecar and fighting hard in the back half of the top ten.  He slipped back one spot in the final lap to a 9th place finish.

Career Best PA Speedweek

Reinhardt’s efforts on the closing night of the 2023 edition of Pennsylvania Speedweek moved him into 5th in the final series standings.

“Overall, it was a very solid week for us.  I’m super happy with our consistency and the speed we have. Need to keep chipping away to get better track position and race for some podiums. I want to thank all my guys for their efforts all week.“, Reinhardt commented.

Final PA Speedweek Points:

 1) 39M Anthony Macri   989

 2) 19 Brent Marks    826

 3) 13 Justin Peck    739

 4) 51/8 Freddie Rahmer 698

 5) 91 Kyle Reinhardt   637

 6) 44 Dylan Norris     575

 7) 58 Tanner Thorson   573

 8) 48 Danny Dietrich   543

 9) 69K Lance Dewease   515

10) 11 TJ Stutts    499

New Addition

I am also really looking forward to working with Chris (Shuttlesworth) moving forward. Since he joined our team at Hagerstown, I feel a lot more confident in my car and some weight has been lifted off my shoulders with the decision making during the night so I can focus on driving.

Reinhardt has had good speed all year, has one win and has shown he is on the doorstep of consistently competing for podium finishes and wins.  The addition of Shuttlesworth could be the key to accomplishing that.

Reinhardt and the Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Ace Distributing, Henry’s Wrecker Service team will be one to keep an eye on over the second half of the 2023 season.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Up Next

Reinhardt will return to Selinsgrove Speedway this Sunday, July 9th, for the makeup of the $10,000 to win Opperman-Bogar-Heinzelman Memorial that was rained out during speedweek.

A couple days later the team will load up and head west for Eldora Speedway to compete in the Eldora Million and the King’s Royal July 12th-15th.

Season Stats

29 races, 1 wins, 5 top 5’s, 18 top 10’s, 23 top 15’s

Tony Jackson Set To Make the Jump From Super Sportsman to 410 Sprint Car Competition in 2024

Carlisle, PA – June 30, 2023

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Brian Rhoad / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson, with the support of car-owner Scott Hess and Hess Motorsports, is proud to announce that he’ll be making the transition from Super Sportsman competition to 410 Sprint Car racing in 2024. This decision marks a significant step forward in his career and sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in his already impressive journey.

“We’ve been kicking it around now for a little bit and we just decided that now is the right time to make the move,” said Jackson. “I know it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead of us and seeing what we can do.”

The current plan is to tentatively run around 40 races next season, with a focus on special events at BAPS Motor Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway on Friday nights and Port Royal Speedway on Saturdays.

“We’ll start with places I’m comfortable at and just try and gain as much experience as possible,” said Jackson. “We’ve got a few possible cards on the table that could open things up a lot more next season, but right now this is the plan.”

“We’ve talked about possibly going out to Western PA a little bit as well, but really we’re just going into things with an open mind and we’ll see where it takes us,” he added.

With an impressive track record in the Super Sportsman series, Jackson has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, determination, and an unwavering passion for the sport. Over the years, he has carved a name for himself as a formidable force, capturing the attention of fans, competitors, and sponsors alike.

Jackson teamed up with Hess a few years ago in the Sportsman division and the wins have come in bunches. No stranger to the Sprint Car game as a longtime crew chief, owner and sponsor, Hess believes Jackson has the talent capable of not only making the jump to 410 Sprint Car racing, but to compete and challenge for wins.

“We’re really excited about building this team and we’re excited to get going,” said Hess. “I really believe Tony has the ability to win races at the next level and we’re excited to give him the opportunity to make his dream a reality.”

The decision to transition to the intense and highly competitive world of 410 Sprint Car racing in Central Pennsylvania represents Jackson’s commitment to pushing his limits and pursuing excellence in the sport. The move is driven by a burning desire to challenge himself further, test his skills against the best in the business, and chase the ultimate glory of victory at the highest level.

He’s also looking forward to continuing his family’s legacy, as his father Larry Jackson was a force to be reckoned with for decades in the Sportsman and 410 Sprint Car ranks.

“As a kid growing up at Silver Springs and watching my dad be as successful as he was, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t dream of winning races and racing too,” said Jackson. “He’s a well-known name in this area and being able to represent that legacy against the best in the business is something I’m really proud of and don’t take lightly.”

The team will utilize Maxim Chassis and a combination of Rider and Godfrey Racing Engines. Sponsors include Truck Specialties, Machining America, McCoy Brothers, Interstate Garage Doors, Family Ford, Custom Cut Floorings, Hess Iron, Donnie Reeser, Ken Brown Racing, Piper Advertising, K&H Suspension, Dellinger’s Auto Body, and Chamberlin and Wingert Sanitary Services.

The team’s sponsors, whose support has been instrumental in making this transition possible, are equally thrilled about the upcoming season. Their continued commitment and investment in Jackson demonstrate their belief in his talent and the potential for success in the fiercely competitive world of Central PA 410 Sprint Car racing.

“It means so much to me that Scott, his wife Lori, and my sponsors have the confidence in me to make all this possible,” said Jackson. “None of these people must do this and the only reason they are is because they believe I can do it and do it well. We’re working hard to build this team the right way and I’m looking forward to representing them at the track next season.”

For media inquiries, sponsorship opportunities, or to schedule an interview, please contact Tony Jackson or Scott Hess.

Kyle Reinhardt came into Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek with a little bit of momentum from his Ohio Sprint Speedweek stint.  With ten races on the horizon at Pennsylvania tracks where he has significantly more laps than he does on the Ohio ovals, hopefully he could maintain that momentum and keep his solid 2023 season rolling.

Minor Bump at Lincoln

Opening night of the 2023 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek was washed away by rain, forcing teams to wait 24 hours to kick off the festivities at Lincoln Speedway.

Kyle Reinhardt and the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 was among a strong field of 37 teams ready to get the annual summer tradition started.

Reinhardt’s night got off to a solid start, clicking off the 11th best lap overall in time trials.  The only minor bump in the road for Reinhardt was a 3rd place finish in his heat race after starting 2nd.  The one position cost him a few starting spots in the feature event.

From his 14th starting spot in the 30-lap A-main, Reinhardt was able to climb two spots to finish out the night with a 12th place finish.

Late Surge at BAPS

Sunday night the series moved on to BAPS Motor speedway where 34 drivers registered.  Reinhardt timed 9th quickest overall, once again putting himself on the front row of his heat race.  He slipped one spot to a 3rd place finish.

In the 30-lap A-main, Reinhardt took the green from outside row five.  In the early going he struggled and fell back to 12th for a few laps, then 11th.

At the halfway point, Reinhardt started to find his rhythm and make forward progress.  He surged into 7th on lap sixteen, then into sixth two circuits later.  He held a firm grip on the spot the rest of the way for a 6th place finish.

With severe weather forecast for the area all afternoon and evening, Monday night’s event at Lincoln Speedway was rescheduled to the off day, Thursday.

Tuesday night’s show at Grandview Speedway also fell victim to the weather, with no makeup date available.

Maryland March

The series resumed under sunny skies just across the Mason-Dixon Line at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland.  Thirty teams made the trek for the Wednesday night race.

Early on Reinhardt was having a tough time dialing his ride in.  He turned in the 14th best lap overall, then rode to a 5th place finish in his heat race.

From his 14th starting spot in the 30-lap main event, Reinhardt showed he had finally hit on a good combination as he marched his way steadily forward throughout the race, crossing the finish line with a 7th place finish.

Following the completion of this third event of the week, Reinhardt sat 7th in overall PA Speedweek points.

Late Restarts at Lincoln

Thursday night’s rescheduled event at Lincoln Speedway attracted a field of 34 cars to take a shot at the $10,000 winner’s share of the purse.

Reinhardt’s lap of 13.463 put him 16th overall in a very competitive round of time trials.  It was so tight in fact, that had he been just 0.063 quicker, he would have ranked 10th quickest.

In an uneventful heat race, Reinhardt started and finished 3rd, locking the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 into the A-main.

Reinhardt started 13th in the 30-lap feature.  At the midpoint of the race, he was 12th but soon after, his Maxim came alive.  He cracked the top ten on lap 24, moved to 9th two laps later and was running down his next target when the first caution of the event appeared on lap 27.

The restart did not work in Reinhardt’s favor as he slipped back one spot.  Another caution appeared one lap later and once again the ensuing restart cost him a spot.  In the closing two laps he grabbed 9th momentarily but flashed under the checkered flag in 10th.

The car just wouldn’t take off on those late restarts.  We have to figure out what happened there.  We were really good before the caution.  I felt like we had a top five car if it had stayed green.”, Reinhardt said.

Speedweek: Looking Back and Forward

Overall, we have been solid so far in (PA) Speedweek.  We need to work on the early part of our night to get in a better starting position.“, Reinhardt commented.

We are sitting 7th in points right now with four races remaining.  Our goal is to finish in the top five in points.  Hopefully the rain stays away, and we get to race all four nights.

Unofficial Speedweek points after Lincoln:
1) 39M Anthony Macri 659
2) 8/51 Freddie Rahmer 553
3) 13 Justin Peck 537
4) 19 Brent Marks 516
5) 48 Danny Dietrich 467
6) 58 Tanner Thorson 435
7) 91 Kyle Reinhardt 407
8) 44 Dylan Norris 384
9) 11 TJ Stutts 338
10) 5w Lucas Wolfe 333

Reinhardt Rolls to Solid Ohio Speedweek Weekend

Grueling 10-Race Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek Up Next

West Portsmouth, PA – June 20, 2023

Kyle Reinhardt put together a solid weekend in Ohio by making all three shows, improving each night and culminating with his best finish of the trip on the final night.

It was a positive outcome after a rough start to the weekend.

Reinhardt’s trip to Ohio on Thursday to join the All Star Circuit of Champions for the final three nights of Ohio Sprint Speedweek got off to a bumpy start when the team experienced a flat steer tire on their rig less than ninety minutes from Atomic Speedway.

The team knew that if they could get back on the road in time, prep time at the track would be minimal to none, so they made good use of the unplanned down time by prepping race tires along the roadside for that night’s event.  Fortunately, help arrived and got them back on the road in the nick of time.

Hectic Night at Atomic

Reinhardt and team unloaded at Atomic Speedway with literally minutes to prepare for their qualifying session.  The tires were ready but final preparations created a fast-paced scene.  Considering the laps under the clock set the table for the entire night, the attention to detail at the beginning of the night can often be the most crucial time.

The Neptune City, NJ native managed to log the 4th fastest lap in his group.  He went on to a 4th place finish in his heat race to lock himself into the main event.  Locking in through the heat race meant the team finally had a chance to slow down and focus on feature preparation.

Reinhardt started 16th in the 30-lap A-main.  He never seemed to be free of close competition for any position throughout the race but was able to make forward progress, ultimately finishing 12th.

I’m happy to come away with a decent night after the day we had.  We will catch our breath and move on to Eldora.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a less stressful day.“, Reinhardt commented.

Solid Effort at The Big E

Friday afternoon, Reinhardt unloaded the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 at Eldora Speedway, only his third career visit to the famed facility.

The field grew from 41 cars the night before to 44 for the $12,000 to win event, which also served as the last chance for teams to get track time prior to the upcoming Eldora Million.  Reinhardt timed 4th quick in his group once again, this time just 0.041 seconds out of 3rd, which would have given him a front row starting spot in his heat race.

Reinhardt started 3rd in heat number two and, after a couple attempts to get the race started, bolted into the runner up spot on the opening lap, then held on to finish 2nd.

The 30-lap A-main was another fast-paced affair.  Reinhardt flirted with cracking the top ten on several occasions.  In the late going, he battled an always tough Lance Dewease and managed to keep him at bay to claim another 12th place finish.

Leaving Portsmouth with Positives

Saturday night’s $22,554 to win Ohio Speedweek finale attracted 46 teams to Portsmouth Raceway Park (PRP) in Southern Ohio along the Ohio River.

Reinhardt has been fast in previous visits to PRP and he showed it again Saturday night by turning a lap of 13.263, fastest in Group D qualifying.  He went on to secure a spot in the Dash by finishing 3rd in his heat race and transferring to the A-main.

After starting outside row two, Reinhardt finished 5th in the dash to capture the inside row three starting spot for the main event.  He had good speed early and just past the halfway point was running 5th.

Reinhardt lost a couple spots as the race entered the final ten laps, then slipped two more in the midst of some heated battles.  He regained his rhythm and battled back to a 7th place finish as the race drew to a close.

Overall, we had a solid weekend.  We had decent speed in time trials and all night really.  Just need to get my feature speed more consistent through the race and we will be racing for top fives.“, Reinhardt said.

With less than five career starts at each of the three Ohio tracks and able to make the show every night from a field of over 40 cars, it was definitely a solid weekend for Reinhardt.  Now it’s back to Pennsylvania to try to carry that momentum into the annual summer tradition there.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Kyle Reinhardt Puts Capitol and Coors in Victory Lane

Preparations Underway To Race With the All Stars During Ohio Speedweek

York Haven, PA – June 4, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

It is in the books.  The first win of Kyle Reinhardt’s 2023 season and his rebuilding era has been recorded.

Reinhardt parked the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 in victory lane at BAPS Motor Speedway in impressive fashion.

Is the rebuilding process complete.  No.  There’s still plenty of work to be done, but Thursday night served as a good indicator Reinhardt is on the right track.

  • Date:  June 1, 2023
  • Event:  Greg Hodnett Foundation Race
  • TrackBAPS Motor Speedway
  • City, State:   York Haven, PA
  • Quick Stats:  18 cars, Qualifying 4th in Group 1, Heat 1st (1), A-main 1st (2)

Setting the Stage

Group time trials were used to set the lineups for two heat races for the 18-car field for Thursday night’s Greg Hodnett Foundation race at BAPS Motor Speedway.

Reinhardt timed 4th quickest in Group 1, putting him on the pole for his heat race by way of the invert.  He took command from the drop of the green flag and never looked back, claiming the win and a spot in the redraw.

Getting It Done

Reinhardt drew the number two pill to get a front row starting spot for the 30-lap finale.  Again, the Neptune City, NJ native took command from the start but there was no point in the race where the competition allowed him to get comfortable out front.

Early on Dylan Norris pursued Reinhardt and challenged him as the leader caught lapped traffic.  He managed to get alongside a time or two but Reinhardt kept him at bay.  At the halfway point, Jeff Halligan moved into the runner-up spot and began to pressure Reinhardt.

The race had yet to have a caution, keeping the leaders dicing through lapped traffic.  Halligan managed to pull a slider and get out front briefly but Reinhardt turned back under the No.45 and held the lead at the line.

The first caution of the race appeared with twenty-nine laps complete and one remaining.  On the restart, with clear track in front of him, Reinhardt pulled away by a few car lengths and took the victory.

We needed that!  “, a very happy Reinhardt said.  “It’s really cool to get a win for Coors.

We had to battle back there a couple times in lapped traffic but I did what I needed to do to stay up front“.

I really have to thank my guys for their hard work and Wayne Quackenbush from Capitol Renegade Custom Coaches and Trailers.  We finally won one with him at the track.  Of course a big thanks to Coors Banquet and Henry’s Wrecker Service too.  They have all been very good to me and I could not do this without their support.“, Reinhardt commented.

I also want to thank my brother, David.  He puts a lot of effort in.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Up Next

Reinhardt and his team will take some time off, then return on June 15th when they join the last three nights of the All Star sanctioned Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

Reinhardt will compete at Atomic Speedway (6/15), Eldora Speedway (6/16) and Portsmouth Raceway Park (6/17).  The final two races of the annual summer series pay $10,000 and $22,554 to win respectively.

Season Stats

20 races, 1 wins, 5 top 5’s, 12 top 10’s, 14 top 15’s

Reinhardt’s Home State Runner-Up Finish Highlights All Star Swing

Gains Made at Port Royal; Hodnett Foundation Race on Tap This Week at BAPS

Kyle Reinhardt hauled his Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker No.91 to his home state of New Jersey to kick off a four-race stint with the All Star Circuit of Champions on Thursday night, June 25th, at Bridgeport Motorsports Park.

Going home is always nice and in this case, it seemed to do a lot of good for Reinhardt.  He put together a very solid night that ended with a runner-up finish.  He was looking to continue that trend as the series rolled into central Pennsylvania for the holiday weekend.

100th Career All Star Main Event Start

With twenty-seven cars on hand Thursday night, Reinhardt clicked off the 5th fastest lap overall to get his night started on the right foot.  The qualifying effort put Reinhardt on the pole of the night’s third and final heat race.

Scotty Thiel shared the front row for the heat race.  He dove hard under Reinhardt going into turn three on a tenacious opening lap but Kyle was up to the challenge.  He turned back under Theil in turn four to take command.  He never looked back and went on to win the race by 1.6 seconds over Anthony Macri.

Reinhardt drew the number four pill for the dash.  He would finish in that 4th spot, giving him the outside row two starting spot for the 30-lap A-main.

The Neptune City, NJ native held a solid grip on the 3rd spot for much of the main event after a heated early batter with Hunter Schuerenberg.  A restart with twelve laps remaining saw Reinhardt get by Freddie Rahmer for 2nd but Rahmer battled back in turn four.  The exchange almost led to a spin by Reinhardt but he gathered the No.91 back up and rejoined the battle.

The near-disaster left Reinhardt in 6th on lap twenty.  Three laps later he was back up to 3rd and was clearly on a mission.  He wrestled the runner-up spot away from Schuerenberg with three laps remaining, then began to close the gap on leader Tyler Courtney.

Reinhardt was 3-tenths of a second quicker than the leader but there wasn’t enough time left to mount a challenge without the aid of a caution.   He crossed the line with a 2nd place finish.

Should’ve won that race.  I had a really good car.“, Reinhardt said.  “After that restart when Freddie (Rahmer) and I exchanged sliders, it took the air off my nose and I almost spun.  I dropped a few spots and had to spend a few laps getting that track position back.  Ran out of time to try to catch Tyler (Courtney).

The finish was a fine way to celebrate Reinhardt’s 100th career All Star main event start.

The Grove

Back in Pennsylvania at Williams Grove Speedway for a Friday night show with the All Stars, Reinhardt recorded the 6th quickest lap in Group A qualifying.  The lap left him with a bit of a hole to dig out of for the night.

The challenges continued in the heat race when Reinhardt was unable to improve his position, slipping back one spot to a 7th place finish and landing in the B-main.

Reinhardt found some of his speed in the B-main, leading wire-to-wire and winning the last chance race to put his Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker No.91 in the show.

In the 30-lap A-main, Reinhardt continued his rebound, advancing from his 21st starting spot to a 14th place finish.

We have had good speed here at the Grove all year, so I was a little disappointed we didn’t qualify better tonight.  We finally got going later in the night and salvaged something out of the night.“, Reinhardt commented.

The Speed Palace

Back in early April, Kyle Reinhardt made a trip to Port Royal Speedway and recorded a top ten finish, so there was reason to come into the two-day Bob Weikert Memorial with some positivity that the struggles of the last couple seasons at ‘The Speed Palace’ were behind him.

There were 40 teams signed in Saturday night and the night started off reasonably well for Reinhardt when he turned the 17th best lap in qualifying.  Things went a little off track in the heat race however, as he faded from his 4th starting spot to finish 9th.

The night ended early for Reinhardt when big adjustments for the B-main yielded similar results, a 9th place finish from a 7th place start.

Sunday was a new day and a new approach for Reinhardt.

An unfavorable draw set Reinhardt as the 36th of 40 cars to hit the track for the single-flight qualifying.  His lap put him 25th in the results.

Reinhardt started on the front row of his heat race and was able to lead the opening lap before ultimately winding up 3rd.

The Bob Weikert Memorial uses a qualifying and passing points system to set the field.  Reinhardt’s total after the heat race ranked him 20th overall, good enough to lock into the A-main.

At the end of the 29-lap finale, the distance set in honor of the legendary car owner’s long-time number, Reinhardt finished 20th.

The good news is we made the race tonight (Sunday).  We were terrible last night, but we made some gains tonight.  Port Royal has been a challenge for us the last couple years.  We’re getting closer.“, Reinhardt shared.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

BAPS Motor Speedway is Reinhardt’s lone destination this week.  On Thursday, June 1st he will compete in the Greg Hodnett Foundation race at the York Haven, PA speedway before taking the weekend off.

Trivia Question

The answer to last week’s question is… it is TRUE that Kyle Reinhardt won a feature event at Port Royal Speedway in a 360 sprint car!  The victory occurred during PA Speedweek in 2019 when he piloted the John Westbrook No.1w to the win in the URC portion of the program on Wednesday, July 3rd!

Now, on to this week’s question.  What is Kyle’s dog’s name?

The answer in the next press release!

Reinhardt in the Top Ten Again at BAPS Motor Speedway

Four Race Stint with the All Stars in NJ and PA Up Next

Abbottstown, PA – May 23, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt has been pleased with his team’s consistency thus far in 2023.  For a team that is rebuilding, he has reason to be happy after reeling off ten consecutive top ten runs in unsanctioned central Pennsylvania 410 sprint car action.

Consistency is the first step toward the end goal of winning races.  That’s the next thing on his list that Reinhardt is aiming to check off.

  • Date:  May 21, 2023
  • Event:  Kevin Gobrecht Classic Qualifier
  • TrackBAPS Motor Speedway
  • City, State:   York Haven, PA
  • Quick Stats:  28 cars, Qualifying 6th Group 1, Heat 4rd (6), A-main 9th (10)

Recovering

Reinhardt’s lone race of the weekend was at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday night for the Kevin Gobrecht Classic Qualifier.  In two prior trips to the York Haven oval this season, he showed good speed and produced quality finishes of 5th and 6th.

Qualifying for the 28 cars on hand consisted of group time trials that would set the lineup for each of three heat races.  Reinhardt’s qualifying run ranked him 6th in group one.  It was a step behind where he had hoped to be but he went right back to work on the Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Henry’s Wrecker No.91 to prepare for his heat race opportunity.

Reinhardt wasted no time getting down to business in the heat race, charging from his 6th starting spot into the 4th position on the opening lap.  Jeff Halligan challenged Reinhardt for the spot, claiming it briefly on lap three, but ultimately the Neptune City, NJ native wrestled the 4th spot away for good and held on to the checkers.

Keep Digging

Reinhardt lined up outside row five for the 30-lap A-main.  As the opening lap unfolded, he found himself slipping to 11th before finding his rhythm.

Reinhardt fought his way to the 9th spot by lap four and although under considerable pressure from Halligan, held onto the spot for the next thirteen circuits before falling to 10th in heavy traffic.

The battle continued through heavy traffic and Reinhardt was able to recapture the 9th spot with just a half-lap remaining.

I feel like we made a little progress tonight but we were just kind of here.“, Reinhardt said.

I need to change up my program a little more to get better on slick surfaces like here at BAPS (Motor Speedway).

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

Kyle can be contacted via [email protected].

Up Next

A very busy week is on the horizon for Reinhardt and the Capitol Renegade team.  They will race with the All Star Circuit of Champions on four consecutive nights, Thursday through Sunday.

Reinhardt will get to compete for a $10,000 top prize in his home state of New Jersey on Thursday, May 25th when the All Stars invade the 4-tenths mile high banked Bridgeport Motorsports Park.

Trivia Question

The answer to last week’s question is Kyle Reinhardt left a mechanical engineering job in the aerospace industry in 2019 to become a full time sprint car diver!

Now, on to this week’s question.  True or False?  Kyle Reinhardt has won a feature event at Port Royal Speedway in a 360 sprint car?

The answer in the next press release!
