JJ Hickle Set to Debut with Sandvig Motorsports During 71st Annual Knoxville Opener

Sandvig Motorsports is set to embark on the 2024 racing season with JJ Hickle behind the wheel of their 410 Sprint Car this weekend at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

If Mother Nature plays nicely, Hickle will take part in a test and tune session on Friday at ‘The Sprint Car Capital of the World’, before kicking off the season on Saturday as part of their 71st Annual Pella Motors/Kraig Ford Season Opener.

“I went and put my seat in the car and got my belts fitted with Mike’s car and there’s nothing really left but to go and do it,” said Hickle. “It seems like I’ve just been watching it rain and be cold here lately, so hopefully we can get 2024 started together and I couldn’t be any more excited!”

While this will be the first scheduled event of the season for the Sandvig No. 7, Hickle already has several races under his belt as he’s competed in 410 Sprint Car competition for Cook Motorsports and 360 Sprint Car competition for Winged Down Racing.

While he’s grateful for the opportunity to stay sharp and compete for victories, he’s anxiously looking forward to the opportunity to pilot the Sandvig Motorsports Sprint Car and start gelling as a team. Tentatively, the team plans to race in close to 50 events this season at various tracks with different series.

“It’s great to go do these one-off deals and get opportunities to drive fast race cars, but I’m really looking for a home,” said Hickle. “I think we can do that with Mike’s team and I’m excited to just get going, learn, and be in a situation where we can be consistent and grow together throughout the year.”

Along with Hickle being new to the program, several sponsors have committed in support of Sandvig Motorsports 2024 racing season. Renown Earth Works, HPP Hertz Precision Parts, GRP Motorsports, Heartland Kitchen Solutions, Rider Racing Engines, Kaiser Wheels, DeBerg Flooring, Eszlinger Electric LLC, A+ Power Washing and Boji Custom Metal Works, and Powder Coating will all be on the car. Hickle and Sandvig are grateful for all the support in chasing their season goals.

“Everybody knows Sprint Car racing isn’t a cheap sport and I’m appreciative of everyone who has come on board to make this deal happen,” Hickle said. “Mike has a bunch of supporters who have been with him for a while and I’m just looking forward to putting my best foot forward and representing them well on and off the track.”

With a team that has shown the ability to win over the years, with an eye toward the future, Hickle believes the pairing can lead to success. While he understands it might take time to get going, he believes he’s in a situation to succeed and compete for wins out of the gate.

“As a driver, all you can do is go out and make the best laps you can and see what happens,” said Hickle. “This deal takes work and I think both myself and Mike know if we work together toward the same goals, we can be fast and compete for wins. It might be a bit much to say we’re going to go out and win the first night out, but I think end of the night on Saturday we can have a good base of where we stand and hopefully, we’re running up front.”

Kyle Reinhardt Overcomes Qualifying Setback to Secure 14th Place Finish

York Haven, PA – April 18, 2024

Kyle Reinhardt rolled into BAPS Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon aiming to continue the trend he set there in 2023 when he notched six top-ten finishes, including one victory, in his first eight appearances of that season at the York Haven, PA oval.

He would have to contest with a quality field of 43 teams to accomplish that goal.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  April 14, 2024

  • Division:  410 Sprint Cars
  • Track:  BAPS Motor Speedway
  • City, State:   York Haven, PA
  • Stats:  43 cars, Group 4 Qualifying 7th, Heat 7th (7), B-main 2nd (8), A-main 14th (23)

RALLY TIME

Reinhardt’s night kicked off with group, timed hot laps.  His lap of 18.274 was only good enough for 7th best in the ten-car group.  The Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 wasn’t far off though.  He was only 0.103 seconds out of a top-five effort, which would have put him in a transfer spot to start his heat.

Instead, Reinhardt took the green from the 7th starting spot in his heat race.  He wasn’t able to climb into a top-five transfer spot and was relegated to the B-main for another shot at making the show.

Reinhardt began to turn his night around quickly in the B-main.  After starting 8th, he charged into the top five by lap two.  He continued to reel in the leaders, claiming 4th on lap three and 3rd on lap seven of the 15-lap last-chance qualifier.  The Neptune City, NJ native nearly wrestled 2nd away from Nash Ely but settled for a 3rd place finish and a starting spot in the A-main.

From his 23rd starting spot in the A-main, Reinhardt continued to rally, taking over the 13th spot at the midpoint of the race.

The forward progress came to a halt after Reinhardt suffered front wing damage as the result of contact.  He managed to hold on for a 14th-place finish, turning a potentially bad night into a positive one.

Reinhardt will return to BAPS Motor Speedway on April 28th looking to restart his string of top-ten finishes.

UP NEXT

Reinhardt is slated to compete in his first two-race weekend of the season this Friday and Saturday.

Friday night April 19th he will be in attendance at Williams Grove Speedway for the $8,000 to win Tommy Hinnershitz Classic.

The following night he will make the short tow from his race shop to Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown Speedway for the $20,000 to win Weldon Sterner Memorial.

SEASON STATS

2 races, 0 wins, 0 top 5’s, 0 top 10’s, 1 top 15’s, 1 top 20

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Make the Best of Rainy Weekend with Best Career 410 Sprint Car Finish

York Haven, PA – April 16, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing continued to make strides in the 410 Sprint Car ranks as the Newville, PA native brought home a career-best 16th-place finish on Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway.

Jackson and Hess initially planned to compete in three consecutive nights of racing in the 410 Sprint Car ranks, but rain again reared its ugly head and canceled planned action at Williams Grove on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.

“We briefly considered running Port Royal on Saturday, but it just didn’t look like it would be a great time weather-wise and with the wind,” said Jackson. “In terms of BAPS, they watered the track and it was pretty top dominant. I was probably running a half lane lower than the guys in front of us and that’s a prime example of the learning curve and just where I need to grow.”

A total of 43 410 Sprint Cars attended BAPS on Sunday and Jackson kicked off the night by qualifying second quickest in his group during time trials. He then finished where he started – third – to lock himself into the A-main with the 12th starting position.

“We knew we had to be fast out the gate and we got a pretty good start to the heat race and was running second,” he said. “Ultimately, we slipped back to third and were able to get in the show which is obviously the goal each week.”

With a plan to continue to learn and make laps in mind, Jackson stayed steady inside of the top 15 for most of the 25-lap event. He narrowly missed out on his first career top-15 finish in the division after finishing 16th. However, with the high number of cars on hand, the team was happy to get in the show and bring the car home in one piece.

“Outside of a sanctioned event, I can’t really think of too many instances this early in the year to have 43 cars at the track,” said Jackson. “I didn’t expect that and I knew we had an uphill climb just to get in the show as a result. So ultimately to get in the show and run 16th is a pretty cool deal for us as a team and it’s something we can be proud of.”

Jackson will return to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before making his third start of the season at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Saturday.

“Mother Nature doesn’t look like it will do us any favors this weekend, but I’m excited to get back to the track and start contending for top 15 finishes and not just making shows,” said Jackson. “Lincoln is a track that I’ve kind of struggled at, but ultimately I think we’re learning there and hopefully we get in two A-main starts this weekend and some positive results.”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Score Career Best Finish in 410 Sprint Car Action

Mechanicsburg, PA – April 2, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing took a major step forward in their rise to the 410 Sprint Car ranks as the Newville, PA native brought home a career best 17th-place finish on Friday at Williams Gove Speedway.

A planned doubleheader in the winged and wingless sportsman on Saturday at BAPS Motor Speedway ended up cancelled because of inclement weather.

“We were at the Grove on opening day, but with a tough pill draw and tougher track conditions I felt like this was a first real crack at the track,” said Jackson. “This time around was a much better experience and while the finish could have been better, we made another show and we’re continuing to learn and grow.”

A total of 27 410 Sprint Cars attended the famed Mechanicsburg track on Friday and Jackson kicked off the night by finishing third in a heat race. As a result, he was able to lock into the night’s A-main event with the eighth starting position.

“There were a lot of good drivers in the heat race, and we were able to run in second for quite a bit and we did more than hold our own,” he said. “I think lack of experience cost us a little bit, but of course I’m still learning, and we need nights like that to move forward as a team.”

Jackson ran consistently in between the ninth and 12th position for a majority of the feature event. However, several frequent cautions early in the event didn’t allow for the opportunity to make consistent laps or to get in a rhythm. As a result, he settled for a 17th place finish, which earned him his first career top 20 finish in the 410 Sprint Car ranks.

“I think we had maybe a 12th place car honestly, but the cautions really hurt our ability to get in a rhythm and it was just tough,” said Jackson. “I think one of the biggest obstacles I have to overcome is restarts and being in dirty air. Inexperience played a part in us maybe not showing all that we could, but overall, it was a decent night.”

Jackson will return to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before making his second start of the season at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Saturday.

With tough weather conditions playing spoiler for much of the early season in Central Pennsylvania, Jackson and Hess are optimistically looking forward to the opportunity of a two-race weekend to help continue to speed up the learning curve of taking on a new division of Sprint Car racing.

“We found a few small issues with the car since the last time we raced at Lincoln, but we feel like we’re better prepared this time around,” said Jackson. “Obviously Mother Nature hasn’t been anyone’s friend in the area so far, but just having multiple options in the area is a plus and was a huge selling point in us moving to the 410 ranks. The best way to learn is to keep making laps and I’m optimistic and excited for what’s to come!”

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing Continue Learning Game in First BAPS 410 Sprint Car Start

York Haven, PA – March 27, 2024

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Tony Jackson competed Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway in the Scott Hess Racing 410 Sprint Car and the Newville, Pa native brought home a 22nd-place finish. The 410 start was the third of his season and his first in the division at the York Haven, PA facility.

“With 34 cars in attendance, we had a goal to just make the show,” said Jackson. “Once we got it in the show, the goal was to then complete 30 laps and ultimately, we fell short of that. But the truth is we’ve made two features in three shows, so we’re off to a good start.”

Jackson kicked off the night in qualifying by laying down a fastest lap of 15.225 seconds, which was good enough for fourth quickest in his group. As a result, he started on the pole for a heat race. He ran second for five laps before falling to fourth and locked himself into the night’s A-main event.

“I didn’t get a good jump and Cory Eliason got by me, but we ultimately were able to pass him which was cool,” said Jackson. “For about five laps I was feeling like a rockstar, but I didn’t adjust accordingly and I kind of went into preservation mode to ensure we got in the show.”

Jackson lined up 16th for the 30-lap A-main and he settled into the 17th position for the first half of the race. However, two cars got together, and one turned around in front of him. This left him nowhere to go and ended his night early. He was credited with finishing 22nd.

“BAPS is the track I’m most familiar with, so it was nice to make some competitive laps there in the 410 and keep this racing journey moving forward,” he said. “We had some speed early in the night and we did some good things that we can build on, so overall we’ll chalk this one up as a learning experience.

Next up for Jackson will be a trip to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa on Friday to compete in 410 Sprint Car action before running both winged and wingless in the sportsman on Saturday at BAPS.

With mother nature providing tough track conditions during his first start at Williams Grove earlier this season, Jackson feels like this weekend will give him a better feel of the historic facility and what it takes to be competitive there.

“The goal will be to get ourselves in the show and make as many laps as possible. I talked to Lance Dewease during my first start, and he reminded me that we were facing an uphill climb trying to learn in Central PA on a track as complex as Williams Grove when the weather did us no favors. Hopefully, we can get a nice surface this Friday and decent weather, so we can really get an idea of our package there and just learn as much as possible,” said Jackson.

“When it comes to the Sportsman, this is an opportunity to race in front of a lot of our sponsors and hopefully we can come home with two victories. If anything, maybe we can gain some confidence behind the wheel that will lend itself to the 410 side of things,” he added.

WEEKEND RESULTS

March 24 – BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA – Qualifying: 4; Heat race: 4 (1); Feature: 22 (16).

Reinhardt Welcomes E-Z-GO for 2024; Coors, Capitol and Henry’s Return

Season To Kick Off April 7th at Bridgeport Motorsports Park

New Oxford, PA – March 27, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Coming off his most successful 410 sprint car season thus far in his career that saw him record over 30 top ten finishes and 3 wins, Kyle Reinhardt will approach 2024 with a quality over quantity mindset.  He will focus on a Central Pennsylvania schedule, with a couple of high-profile national events sprinkled in.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM

New to Reinhardt’s program in 2024 is E-Z-GO Golf Cars.

E-Z-GO is a trusted name in the golf industry, known for its reliability and innovation.  They offer a wide range of high-quality golf cars with excellent battery life.  Plus you can customize your golf car with a wide range of accessories, including storage solutions, windshields, and more.

Golf Cart Services in New Oxford, PA is your place to get the E-Z-GO golf car products and services you need!  Whether you are looking for new, used, rentals, or wholesale for your business, they can help!

“I am excited to have E-Z-GO Golf Cars join us.  Adding another large company whose products are a natural tie-in with the racing community is a great fit.  There are always golf cars in the campground at the tracks.”, Reinhardt commented.

“We are happy to see their involvement in racing continue through their relationship with Scott (Gobrecht) and Golf Cart Services in New Oxford (PA).”

STICKING WITH IT

Returning for a second season with Reinhardt is Coors Banquet Beer.  After joining the No.91 team early in the 2023 season, the long-time popular beverage, which turned 150 years old last year, is back and has increased its involvement.

Reinhardt and Coors, through Ace Distributing, are planning multiple appearances this year where fans will be able to come out to meet Reinhardt, take photos, get autographs, and see the No.91 machine close up.

“We had a great partnership last year and I’m really happy they decided to stay with us.  They even increased their involvement, so they felt the same way.  That means a lot.”, Reinhardt said.

“I’m looking forward to meeting fans at the appearances we are planning for this summer, and we will look forward to raising a few more Coors in victory lane again this season!”

Ace Distributing, which coordinates Reinhardt’s partnership with Coors, is a leading beverage wholesaler in South Central Pennsylvania, right in the heart of the racing community.  When you head to your favorite dirt track, you want your favorite ice-cold beer to enjoy, right?  Ace services over 1,400 direct retail partners across Lancaster, York, Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Perry, Mifflin, and Juniata counties.  That means you can pick up some Coors Banquet beer from your local distributor on the way to your favorite track!

The long-time cornerstone of the team, Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches, returns as well.  Many teams in pit areas across the country trust Capitol as the premiere custom, high-quality trailer dealer.  As racers themselves, they understand what their customers want and need.

Also back is Henry’s Wrecker Service, another perennial supporter and integral part of the No.91 program.  Covering the Greater Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas, Henry’s is always at the ready!  They operate 24/7/365 to help keep the roads clear by operating the largest fleet of tow trucks, including many large wreckers that are on constant standby for when accidents happen.  Their experienced professional drivers are experts in recovery and accident cleanup.  For swift and efficient roadside assistance and towing services, call Henry’s Wrecker Service at 703-698-8900!

THE 2024 PLAN

Reinhardt will get his 2024 season rolling at Bridgeport Motorsports Park in his home state of New Jersey on Sunday, April 7th.  He will of course be piloting his familiar Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91.

“We are looking to continue building on our successful 2023 season, which was my best so far.  We are going to have to race a little less to enable the program to grow.  That might sound odd but it’s kind of a quality over quantity approach.  I’ve only got two engines, so I need to focus on using the available resources in a way that best benefits our team and our marketing partners.”, Reinhardt said of his approach to the 2024 season.

There are approximately 50 races on Reinhardt’s tentative schedule for this season.  Follow Kyle’s social media and Addicted2DirtPR to keep up with the latest updates and information all season long.

Sandvig Motorsports Announces JJ Hickle as Driver for the No. 7 410 Sprint Car in the 2024 Racing Season

Sandvig Motorsports is thrilled to announce that JJ Hickle will be taking the wheel of the No. 7 410 Sprint Car for the upcoming 2024 racing season. With a proven track record and a passion for speed, Hickle brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team, and Sandvig Motorsports is excited to see what they can achieve together on the track.

Hickle spent the majority of his 2023 racing season competing with the All Star Circuit of Champions as a rookie contender on the tour before dropping off the tour just past the midway point of the year. As he looks to put that experience to use in 2024, Hickle expressed his enthusiasm about joining Sandvig Motorsports.

“I’m honored to be a part of the Sandvig Motorsports team and excited to drive the No. 7 410 Sprint Car. I believe we have the potential for a successful season, and I’m looking forward to the challenges and victories that lie ahead.”

In addition to the driver announcement, Sandvig Motorsports is actively seeking sponsorships for the 2024 racing season to enhance their program and maximize their performance on the track. The team welcomes potential sponsors to join them on this thrilling journey and invites interested parties to reach out for partnership opportunities.

Last year saw Brooke Tatnell, Lynton Jeffrey, and Ian Madsen pilot the Sandvig Motorsports car at various times, mainly throughout the Midwest. While Sandvig is thankful for all the drivers’ efforts last season, he is looking forward to continuing to build on his program with a different level of consistency in 2024 and believes Hickle is the guy to get them there.

“We are proud to have JJ Hickle on board as our driver for the No. 7 410 Sprint Car. With his skill and dedication, coupled with the support of our fans and sponsors, we are confident that we can make a significant impact in the upcoming season.”

Sandvig Motorsports is currently working on finalizing the racing schedule for the 2024 season. An official schedule announcement is expected in the coming months as the team continues to prepare for an exciting and competitive year ahead. The goal is to compete at various events with different sanctions throughout the Mid-West, with some traveling possible dependent on sponsorship.

Kyle Reinhardt Showcased Abilities on and off the Track During Successful 2023 Season

New Oxford, PA – November 17, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt approached the 2023 season as a rebuilding year.  With fewer resources at his disposal, than he had during the previous two seasons, the plan was to focus on Central Pennsylvania and other key events that made the most sense for his team.

His goals were to perform at the highest possible level on the track and work hard off the track to find partnerships that would allow him to expand his schedule.

Not only did he manage to check a lot of the boxes, including a couple that were unplanned, but he logged the best year of his 410 sprint car career thus far.

MAKING THE MOST OF WHAT YOU HAVE

Reinhardt came out of the gate strong in 2023, finishing tenth or better ten times in his first fifteen races.  After that strong start, he announced a new partnership with Coors Banquet beer, who came on board through Ace Distributing of PA.

Competing with the High Limit Series, the World of Outlaws, and All Star Circuit of Champions, as well as across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Reinhardt entered 47 events in his familiar Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91, winning twice and finishing in the top ten 22 times.

It was exciting having Coors Banquet join our program this year.  We were able to make a few appearances for them, plus we had a few Coors Banquet beer showers.“, Reinhardt said with a smile, referring to his trips to victory lane that always included a Coors Banquet beer in hand when he climbed to the top of his wing to celebrate.

I think we represented them well and I hope we are able to continue to grow the partnership.  This is a great relationship for the future of our team as we continue to gain more partners moving forward.  A company like Molson Coors getting involved in our sport is a positive for all of us.

A GREAT FIT

In July, Reinhardt brought Chris Shuttlesworth on board as crew chief and turned his focus to driving.  The pair previously had success together when Shuttlesworth was a member of the John Westbrook 1W team that Reinhardt wheeled to a 360 sprint car title and several wins at Selinsgrove Speedway in 2019.

Shuttlesworth and Reinhardt reached victory lane twice in their 32 races together during the second half of the 2023 season.

Having the right guy to make the calls is huge.  Most of the time it has just been me and I think I did well but it’s a lot to manage.  Chris and I work well together.  I’m glad to have him.  I trust him to make the calls and I can focus on my job behind the wheel.“, Reinhardt commented.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

Just twenty-four hours before a late-July High Limit Series race at Grandview Speedway in Pennsylvania that was delayed a day by weather, Reinhardt’s phone rang.  Bernie Stuebgen of Indy Race Parts was in need of someone to wheel his No.71 at Grandview and he tabbed the Neptune City, NJ native for the job.

Despite never having sat in the car before, Reinhardt turned in an 8th-place run against a stout field.  The result of the unexpected opportunity turned heads.

Running well over the first few months of the season definitely led to opportunities.  I’ve driven for other people and I always appreciated those chances but this was definitely the first time I was called about a high-profile ride.  Bernie’s car is known across the country as a top-notch car and I really appreciated the opportunity he gave me.  We ran pretty well together too, especially considering it was only one night.“, Reinhardt said.

Days later, Bryan Grove called Reinhardt and asked him to wheel the Grove Racing No.45 on the All Star Circuit of Champions tour, beginning after the Knoxville Nationals in mid-August.

Reinhardt accepted and took Shuttlesworth with him on the venture.  The team gelled quickly, competing 13 times over a span of just five and a half weeks, recording one victory and seven top-ten finishes.

The Grove 45 team, Chris, and I worked really well together and the results showed.  We won a race and led a few others.  We could have won a couple more if things had shaken out a little differently, but that’s racing.

ASSESSING IT ALL AND LOOKING AHEAD

When the books closed on the 2023 season, Reinhardt’s stats told an impressive story about a successful rebuilding year.

Reinhardt entered 61 total races, finishing in the top ten 30 times, which included 3 wins and 13 top fives.  A top-ten run in 49.2% of the races entered is a notable improvement over the 26.6% he achieved in 2022.

The sum of all that is a win on and off the track.  The rebuilding may have been accomplished but there is still plenty of building to be done.  Reinhardt continues to look for partnerships to help grow his rising team.

I wish I could tell you our 2024 plans but right now we are waiting for schedules and other information like a lot of teams are.  Bryan (Grove) and I are talking too but we have to wait and see how things play out with the touring series and schedules before any of us can make a decision.  I would like to run a combination of High Limit and World of Outlaw events but we will have to wait and see.“, Reinhardt shared.

Audition Aced: Justin Henderson Secures Kreitz Racing Ride for 2024 Racing Season

Concord, NC – November 10, 2023

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Following a successful weekend at The Dirt Track at Charlotte that saw Justin Henderson put the Kreitz Racing No. 69k in the feature all three nights with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, Henderson has been named the driver of the famed powder-blue Sprint Car for the 2024 racing season.

While a complete schedule will be ironed out over the offseason, the deal will see Henderson pilot the car for all events excluding Port Royal Speedway, where Logan Wagner will return to the car for 2024.

“I’ve been hoping and praying for an opportunity like this and when Donnie called me to say he was choosing me for 2024, I was extremely excited,” said Henderson. “I can’t speak with full certainty of what all races we’ll be doing next season, but it’s a great feeling knowing that this is taken care of, and I can focus on driving the car and winning races now.”

As a veteran driver, Henderson has been around the block regarding the Sprint Car scene. He’s raced around the country for some well-known car owners and won a lot of events. However, while his resume speaks for itself and his talent is undeniable, he’s very aware that opportunities like this don’t come along often for a 44-year-old that many would say is getting towards the end of his career.

While he’s cognizant of what’s at stake and where he is in terms of his career, Henderson is excited to tackle the challenge and is confident in his ability to win races in the car.

“When I even talked about getting in the car to close out the season, I really only expected a handful of shows and we’d move on,” he said. “When Donnie told me he wanted to ease my mind and tell me the ride was mine, I couldn’t be any more relieved.”

“There’s some extra pressure when you are in a car like this and frankly, I’m getting towards to time of my driving career where I’m starting to think about what’s next,” he added. “With the people and resources they have, I’ve got the golden ticket and if I can’t make this deal work, maybe it’s time for me to start doing something else.”

The team most recently finished where they started – 18th – in Saturday night’s World Finals finale and has one more event together on the slate for the 2023 racing season. They’ll head to BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, PA on Saturday, November 11th, to compete in the $25,000 to-win Les Stewart Showdown.

With his plans for 2024 taken care of and a few races under his belt in the No. 69k, Henderson is feeling confident about his chances of taking home the big check and hoagie that will greet the winner in victory lane.

“Not that I particularly needed it, but I’ve been feeding myself big doses of confidence since I got in this car and I think it’s time that we maybe eat something different.  I hear there is a hoagie on the line along with some money,” laughed Henderson. “I can go into this event without having to wonder if I’m still auditioning and hopefully, I can give Donnie, Davey, and all his partners the reassurance that they chose the right guy with a win here at BAPS.”

Henderson would like to thank Hinchman Racewear, Simpson Race Products, and all the Kreitz Racing partners on the car for their continued support!

Justin Henderson Kicks Off the Weekend with a Top Ten Finish at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Concord, NC – November 4, 2023

by Justin Snyder / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Justin Henderson took the wheel of the Kreitz Racing No. 69k Sprint Car at The Dirt Track at Charlotte and delivered an encouraging performance, securing a top-ten finish to start off the weekend’s racing events.

After showing speed in time trial action on Wednesday,  in which he qualified eighth and fourth quickest in a pair of flight-A qualifiers, Henderson took to the track on Thursday with high confidence.

I messed up a little in the first round of qualifying.  I left a little out there but made better laps in Friday’s session, so we feel good going into Thursday and Friday’s shows.  Tonight is an important points night for us.” Henderson said.

He finished where he started – fourth – in a heat race event and that earned him a 14th starting position for the feature event. Continuing to show speed and keeping the car clear of any incidents after falling back a few spots in the early going, Henderson rebounded in the A-main to finish in 14th.

Henderson, known for his skill and determination on the racetrack, wowed fans, and competitors alike with his precision and speed on Friday night. He lined up second in a heat race and finished there to secure a spot in the night’s Dash.

It took two attempts to get the heat race going because of a crash on the first green flag.  That seemed to benefit Henderson.

Brian (Brown) got out on me a little on the first attempt to start the race, but I didn’t let that happen on the second attempt.” Henderson said.

He started third for the Dash and dropped back one spot to secure the fourth starting spot for the night’s A-main. Staying dedicated to the bottom of the Speedway for the first half of the feature event, Henderson struggled in lapped traffic before moving to the top of the track late. He ended up bringing home a tenth-place finish.

While the results will show that the team lost ground in the A-main, Henderson is encouraged by the speed they have shown all weekend and is looking forward to a Saturday night’s finale.  The team sits 10th overall in the 53-car field, so Henderson will line up third in a heat race and is in a good position to make the A-main.
