Cappetta Ready to Start 2024 Campaign on Saturday; Chris’s Coins Joins Growing List of New Sponsors

Ashley Cappetta and the Ashley Cappetta Racing Team are set to kick off the 2024 season this Saturday at Lincoln Speedway, “We’re looking forward to getting back to the track and making this season the best one for the team yet.”  Cappetta and ACR plan to race the complete 358 schedule at Lincoln Speedway this year with any additional races being TBD at this time, “Softball is something that I enjoyed growing up and I decided to get back into it with coaching this year.” With the addition of a high school softball schedule, Cappetta may hit a few additional tracks this year after the softball season is over with the team planning to play it by ear.

“Our main goal this year is to get a handle on the new tires and improve on our results from 2023,” Cappetta shared on what she is looking to accomplish in 2024, “Of course, we’d like to add a few wins in there as well.” There are a total of 18 dates scheduled for the 358 division at Lincoln in 2024. 

Chris’s Coins Antiques and Collectibles Joins Growing List of New Sponsors

Cappetta continues to increase her sponsorship support with the addition of Chris’s Coins for the 2024 season. Chris’s Coins Antiques and Collectibles is located at Yesteryear Antique Center (Booths 213, 215, 314, 316 and Showcases 7, 31 & 32) and Black Rose (Booth and Showcase JCM) in Hanover, “I got to know Chris through Yesteryear Antique Center and I’m grateful that someone I know through my business has decided to support my hobby, it means a lot to have him come on as a sponsor.” Chris is always buying and selling coins, gold, silver, sterling silver pieces, Pyrex, toys, glassware and other collectibles. Hess Auctioneers Joins Forces With Kyle Keen Motorsports for 2024

Kyle Keen Motorsports is excited to announce the addition of the mid-Atlantic region’s premier truck, trailer, and equipment auction company, Hess Auctioneers, to their team and racing family.

THE HESS EXPERIENCE

Hess Auctioneers offers consignment and specialty auctions at their convenient, outdoor open-air venue, which is conveniently located close to Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York.  Hess Auctioneers also offers commercial fleet liquidations.  Hess makes it simple:  You call them, and they sell it.

A key reason the Hess customer experience is different is the four days of preview availability, more than any competitor.  Their auction site is secure and allows consignors to bring their equipment to the site in advance of the auctions so buyers can thoroughly preview the inventory.

The in-person auction experience with Hess is second to none.  The company has introduced “Hess Report”, inspection by a certified mechanic, onsite detailing service and transport of trucks, trailers and equipment.   The company has added sales and office staff to help consignors through the process of selling at auction.

The company has grown from five one-ring auctions to six multi-ring auctions, which attract over one thousand cataloged items and hundreds of skid lot items including transportation, construction, and commercial-related tools, parts, and excess inventory.

Ashley Cappetta Racing continues to grow momentum heading into the 2024 season adding yet another new sponsor to the team. Cappetta and ACR are pleased to announce Snelbecker Electric as a new partner, “With the season right around the corner, to keep adding new sponsors is exciting.”

Halligan Strengthens Team with Support from Highly Respected, Long-Time Racing Community Supporter, J&S Classics

Jeff Halligan Racing and Risser Motorsports are honored to welcome long-time sprint car racing supporter, J&S Classics, to their family.

The late Jim Kline, who recently passed away after a battle with brain cancer, and his wife Sandy are highly respected members of the racing community in Central Pennsylvania and beyond for many years.  The pair owned a very successful sprint car team for some time, then moved on to support tracks, events, and drivers in many ways over the years.

In 2024, the familiar J&S Classics logo will tour Central Pennsylvania speedways on the wing of Jeff Halligan’s No.45.

STREET RODS TO SPRINT CARS

The Kline’s created J & S Fabrication in 1990.  Sandy shared that their goal when they started J&S Fabrication was to own a sprint car team.  They accomplished that goal in 2001 with their son Dean in the seat.

The Klines owned their famed No. 22 sprint car for a decade, campaigning regularly across Central Pennsylvania from 2001 through the 2010 season.  Successful drivers such as Darren Eash, Kenny Jacobs, Jason Johnson, Fred Rahmer, and the late Greg Hodnett graced their seat, recording numerous championships and victories.  One of the most memorable was the 2009 National Open at Williams Grove Speedway with Hodnett at the wheel.

J & S Classics was born from Jim’s love of custom street rod cars.  Jim started out building cars just for himself but eventually, it grew into the business we know today.  Through J&S Classics, Jim and Sandy have continued their support of motorsports for many years.

“Our entire team is grateful for the support of Jim and Sandy.  Jim was a great man.  Sandy and her family are in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn their tragic loss.”, Jeff Halligan shared.

The additional support is a nice boost for Halligan’s program with Risser Motorsports.  The combination has been racing 410 sprint cars together for four full seasons now and has garnered at least one victory in each of those seasons at Port Royal Speedway.
