Trials, Tribulations, and Triumphs Characterize April for Lane Snook

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Port Royal, PA – May 1, 2026

As the season started to kick back into full swing in Pennsylvania, Lane Snook and team were hoping that the results and wins that highlighted last season would start to materialize. After starting out the month with a win at Bedford and a strong, to be continued, run at Port Royal in the limited late model, Snook would switch back over to the super late model to continue April.

Selinsgrove would be the place that he and team would travel to next. With a strong qualifying effort and heat race win, Lane was finally getting to show some speed that the car had. Snook would take the early lead in the feature and start to log laps up front. Challenged by Gregg Satterlee, Snook would relinquish the lead, but would hold off Max Blair for a strong 2nd place finish. This was the first show they managed to finish in the Super Late Model.

Issues would come back to light for the team the following night at Port Royal. The car experienced some trouble, pretty much every time it touched the track. Lane and team “had electrical and fuel issues all night.” The 23 car was able to make a strong qualifying and heat race effort despite the car sounding quite upset throughout the heat. Lane managed to get into the redraw and rolled off 6th in the feature.

“We missed the setup a little bit, and our issues got worse, so I pulled off to end up 20th.” Another disappointment on the year in the super division.

The next week of action would not only feature the same tracks but similar results. Selinsgrove started off great, on Friday, with Lane posting a good qualifying effort and winning his heat race. He would start outside the front row of the feature, and “got another early lead and got through some lap traffic pretty good, then Satterlee got around me again.” Lane was able to keep up with the leader and even had another shot at the lead.

“I showed my nose in 3-4 to him, then he took my line away in 1-2, and I got air tight and got into the fence.” The electrical issues from the week before reared their head again and knocked the 23 car out of a podium run, with only a few laps to go in the feature. A 15th-place effort was all that was left to show after having a car capable of winning.

Luckily, the team’s luck started to go back the other direction, the following night at Port Royal. The team decided to just participate in the limited late model portion of the program, as they had already been slated for a front row spot in the make-up feature that was a part of a double feature program. Lane would return to form in the make-up feature and lead every lap of that feature and pick up win number two of the year. In the main program, Lane made the best of locked-down track conditions and ran from 5th up to 3rd. A refreshing set of finishes after a few tough results.

With the weather not looking the best the following weekend, the team decided to head to Selinsgrove Speedway again, this time with the limited, for some Friday night action. Snook was able to win his heat and start from the pole in the feature. In dominating fashion, Lane was able to lead every lap of the feature and grab win number three on the season. “We are just as good as we were last season,” Snook said, in talking about the limited late model program.

April definitely featured stats that were good and not so good. “I feel like we’ve shown we have had speed in both cars.” With a lot of trouble in the super late model, the team has had to dig through the car and try to find the small things that are making for troublesome nights.

“I think if we get our electrical issues figured out, which I think we do, it’ll help us focus on the setup of the car some more.” Something the young racer has found to be lacking slightly in the super.

“The new car that we ran at Selinsgrove, we’ve been really good in, just the driver needs to get a little bit better and some more experience.” A similar opinion on their program at Port Royal in the Super Division is something Lane wants to improve on.

“I’m pretty excited to try this car somewhere the track really slows down and gets slick,” in talking about their Selinsgrove program, and Lane also mentioned that they “need to get a little bit better when it slicks off,” at Port Royal. With all the issues hopefully under control, Lane will look to rebound in May with more consistent finishes.

May will feature a lot of racing, as April did. Kicking off the month on May 2nd at Port Royal in the super. May 8th, they will tow over to the Selinsgrove Speedway in preparation for the World of Outlaws the following week on May 14th. The team then plans to double up on shows at Bedford, first on the 15th with the limited, and then again with the World of Outlaws on the 17th in the super.

Memorial Day weekend will see the team again travel back out to the Bedford Speedway, in the super late model, on the 22nd, and Port Royal on the 23rd, as the limiteds join the Bob Weikert Memorial. The final weekend of the month will feature trips to Bedford and Selinsgrove, both in the super late model.

As always, try to tune in to the races if you can’t attend in person. Keep an eye out on the team’s website (LaneSnookRacing.com) and social media for raceday updates and results.

Preston Lattomus Delivers Top Five In First Trip To Lernerville

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sarver, PA – April 29, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Preston Lattomus continues to build on the consistent foundation he has established early in his sophomore 410 sprint car season.

The path leading to success in racing is full of peaks and valleys along the way, but it’s a good sign when the peaks continue to get a little higher each time.

KEEPING IT GOING

At Williams Grove Speedway on April 17th, Lattomus didn’t make headlines, but his run was a confidence builder and an indication of the improvements the team is making to be better at the end of the night.  After qualifying 16th and finishing 6th in his heat race, he drove from 16th to 11th in the A-main to end his night on a positive note.

“The surface was super tacky, and we did not time where we wanted to. We were in a pretty stacked heat, and passing was tough, so we started deeper than we expected to,” Lattomus commented.

“I made some passes to get up to 11th and pretty much battled for a top ten spot the whole race. With a few smarter decisions, I feel I could have been a couple spots better.”

Twenty-four hours later, Lattomus unloaded at Lincoln Speedway and was in a similar position early after qualifying 11th in his group and falling back to an 8th-place finish in his heat race.  He raced from 10th to 6th in the B-main but was unable to transfer to the finale.

It was another one of those valleys on the journey.

“Lincoln was tough because of a mistake and a tough passing track in the heat race.  That put us behind all night,” Lattomus shared.

“The competition is so tough, there’s just no room for mistakes.  I’m working hard to eliminate those.”

Last Friday night, Lattomus and the No.91 team ventured to Lernerville Speedway for the Lewes, DE driver’s first laps there in a 410 sprint car.

Lattomus qualified 5th quickest, a solid start with so few laps under his belt at the Sarver, PA facility.  He backed that up by winning his heat race from the 2nd starting spot.  It was his 3rd heat race win of the season, each one coming at a different track.

In the 25-lap main event, Lattomus started 6th.  He raced as high as 4th for much of the race but settled for a 5th-place finish to earn his second top-five of the season.

“We made the decision to skip racing in Central Pennsylvania last weekend to travel to Lernerville just to get experience at a new track and learn. Lernerville is certainly a unique track from anywhere I have ever raced before,” Lattomus explained.

“I led every lap of the heat race, which gave me the opportunity to get eight solid laps by myself and learn the track a little bit better. We showed we had plenty of speed, even at a place that is new to me, and Kyle hadn’t been to in a few years.”

“It felt really good to battle inside the top five throughout the feature. The track got to a point where I have never seen a track that slick ever. That certainly made it even more of a learning experience.”

“I’m glad we made the trip out there and definitely excited to get back there as well as get to new tracks in the future.”

It shouldn’t go unnoticed that the consistency the Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches, EZGO / Golf Cart Services, Betts Garage, Magoo’s Motorsickles No.91 team is showing is coming at a variety of tracks.  Lattomus and his team are getting things right to make them successful anywhere they go.

UPCOMING PLANS

Lattomus will open the month of May with a hefty schedule of six races in nine days, three of which will be with the World of Outlaws.  Visit PrestonLattomus.com for specific dates, locations, merchandise, results, and news!

Ross Heats Up as Big Month of May Approaches

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – April 29, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Tyler Ross looks like he has found his groove.  He has delivered two top-tens, including a podium finish in his most recent outing at Lincoln Speedway.

IN A RHYTHM

At BAPS Motor Speedway on April 12th, Ross qualified 5th in his group but then, after heat race issues, had to battle back from the 19th starting spot in the 30-lap A-main.  He charged forward 11 spots to earn an 8th-place finish.

“We started well, but put ourselves behind in the heat. My guys kept my head up, and we battled back to a top ten.  Nights like that give us a lot of confidence in each other,” Ross said.

One week later, Ross turned in an even better performance at Lincoln Speedway.  After qualifying 2nd quickest in his group, he raced from 4th to a runner-up finish in his heat race, then backed it up by advancing from 6th to 3rd in the feature event.

“We went out late for our time in our group and laid down a solid lap. Just had to execute the rest of the night,” Ross commented.

“I am very happy with the consistency. The car is stable and maneuverable. The team is working well together. We just have to keep grinding.”

“It comes down to time trials, and as I said, it lets us put it in our own hands. We seem to be timing well, and I’m happy about that with these big races coming up.”

Ross has six top-ten finishes in nine races this season, including two podium performances.  In those six main events, he has passed a total of 28 cars.  That kind of speed and consistency will eventually deliver wins.

“Being happy with our speed and consistency, we’re just looking at one race at a time and doing the best we can. We’re having fun right now, and that’s making everything else fall into place,” Ross shared.

“We know tough times will come; it’s just going to be about how we navigate those nights.”

LOOKING AHEAD

Ross’s plans to compete at Bridgeport Motorsports Park last weekend were washed away by rain, so he has now turned his attention to some big races on the horizon.

The Lincoln University, PA-based team will be at Lincoln Speedway and BAPS Motorspeedway this weekend to open the month of May.  Their third race in five days will come against the World of Outlaws at Lincoln Speedway, and the team may add May 8th at Williams Grove Speedway with the Outlaws to their plans as well.

Tyler is also slated to race the McGough No.669 360 sprint car with the United Racing Club (URC) at Port Royal Speedway on May 16th.  The following night, May 17th, he plans to be back in his own No.5 at BAPS Motor Speedway.

The next stop during the busy month of May for Ross will take him to Grandview Speedway to compete with High Limit Racing in his own Bush Auto Group, Fastrak Express Inc., Stateline Truck and Trailer, Stoltzfus Farm Service, Betts Garage No.5.

Fans should follow “Ross Racing 5” on Facebook to keep up with schedule updates and news throughout Tyler’s season!

ABOUT  TYLER ROSS

Tyler started his racing career in 2002 in quarter midgets. At the age of 14, he jumped into the 600 micro scene. At the age of 18, he started his sprint car career in the 358 division and, shortly after, jumped to the 410 division. He owns (9) 358 sprint wins, (4) 360 URC feature wins, and (7) 410 sprint car feature wins, plus he earned the 2015 URC Rookie of the Year award.

Austin Berry Earns First Top Five Finish of Young Season

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Port Royal, PA – April 21, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Back in 2025, Austin Berry made the tough decision to scale back his super late model schedule to put the team in a better position to be a staple again at regional super late model races in 2026.  The strategy was not only to race more but to get back to competing for top-fives, podiums, and wins.

THE FIRST FOUR

Berry kicked off his 2026 season at Selinsgrove Speedway on April 10th.  Berry had last raced in late August 2025 but came out of the gate with a very respectable qualifying lap that put him 10th-quickest in the field.  He later finished 5th in his heat and started 12th in the feature; however, a mechanical failure in the steering system ended his night early.

“We definitely weren’t as good as we would’ve liked to have been, but I think we’ve got something we can work with. Thanks to all the guys for their hard work all night!” Berry commented.

The following night, Berry made the short haul to Port Royal Speedway.  Berry rebounded from a self-inflicted bad start to the night after a mistake in time trials by gaining three spots in his heat race to grab a 5th place finish, then another two spots in the A-main to bring home a 12th place finish.

The opening weekend was productive, helping Berry and his team shake off a little rust, learn a little about what their Rocket XR1 needed, and generally get back in the swing of a race night after seven months away from the track.

After spending the week at the shop working to apply those lessons learned, the team was back at it for another double-header at Selinsgrove at Port Royal the very next weekend.

Friday night at Selinsgrove, Berry battled back from a subpar qualifying effort to a 3rd place finish in his heat race to earn the 9th starting spot in the main event.  From there, he turned in a workmanlike performance, grinding his way toward the front to claim a 5th-place finish.

“That was a solid night for us.  We still need to work on our setup early in the night and improve our qualifying times, but we were able to move forward in the heat race and then again in the feature,” a pleased Berry said.

“The guys made some really solid changes for the feature! Really happy with our overall effort tonight.”

Saturday night brought the team back to Port Royal Speedway once again.  Again, the qualifying performance of the Juniata Veterinary Clinic, Berry’s Siding & Seamless Gutter, SRI Performance/Stock Car Steel & Aluminum, VP Racing Fuels, Carquest of State College, Star Beef No.86 wasn’t up to Berry’s expectations.

Knowing he had done it before, Berry went to work to recover from the setback with a 5th to 3rd run in his heat to earn the 9th starting spot in the A-main.  Forward progress wasn’t in the cards Saturday night, though, and Berry dropped to a 13th-place finish.

“We need to work on our setup more when the track is dead slick, but the car is in one piece.  We’ll spend this week working on getting better.” Berry shared.

“We race pretty well.  We just need to get our qualifying program better to put ourselves in a better position throughout the night, so we are working for top-fives, podiums, and wins instead of scratching and clawing for a top-ten.”

The team will be off this weekend.  Fans can keep up with Austin Berry Racing’s news, schedule, and more at the team’s website, AustinBerryRacing.com, built by the great folks at My Race Pass.

LIKE A BROTHER

Many of you have heard that Tyler Ritchey, a fellow late model racer and close friend, experienced an unexpected, serious medical emergency a few days ago.  Sadly, Tyler passed away on April 20th.

During his college years, Austin was welcomed into the Ritchey home, where he lived with them and became part of their family. Through that time, Austin and Tyler formed a bond that has grown into a lifelong brotherhood. Over the years, Berry and his wife, Chasity, have come to love Tyler, Taylor, Wyatt, and the entire Ritchey family as if they were our own.

This one is hitting close to our hearts,” the team posted.

“We sincerely appreciate your support, and we ask that you continue to keep Tyler’s entire family in your thoughts and prayers.”

In support of Tyler and his family, Austin Berry Racing donated 100% of the proceeds from all merchandise sales to the family last weekend.

Meade Hahn Racing Looking Forward to 2026 Season and Continuing Family Legacy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Millerstown, PA – April 16, 2026

by Derick Kriner / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

A new name to some and a new member of the A2D family, but Meade Hahn is anything but new to racing.

With 25 years’ worth of racing under his belt, the Millerstown resident has been around the sport in some capacity for nearly all his life. Growing up, going to the local dirt tracks in Pennsylvania, Meade got to follow and learn from his father, Bill, who was a crew chief on several teams and also a car owner. As most could expect, the racing gene was going to flow into Meade and would eventually lead to him driving himself.

Meade’s racing career started in 2000, as the then 21-year-old took hold of the wheel and tested his luck in the Pro Stock division that competed at Selinsgrove Speedway. This would be where Hahn would fine-tune his craft and spend close to 10 years competing. In that timeframe, Meade was able to grab multiple wins within the Pro Stock division and was a consistent presence in the division.

From 2009 to present, the team moved on to late models in both the super and limited ranks and now regularly competes in the Limited Late Model division at tracks like Selinsgrove and Port Royal. 2026 will see the 46-year-old driver compete in around 20 shows in the limited class between Selinsgrove and Port Royal, with a chance for a few other select shows elsewhere. While Meade is still searching for a win in the division, he has consistently been a presence near the top of the track point standings at Selinsgrove Speedway. He has finished in the top 5 in points the last two seasons at the Snyder Country ½ mile.

The Hahn family operation is just that, a family deal. Meade travels to the races to compete with the help of his family and close friends. Team values consist of constantly learning, being competitive, but also showing good sportsmanship, and above all, to have fun, enjoying the sport that his family loves. The team also takes pride in supporting local tracks and being a consistent presence in the pit area. Goals of the team in 2026 continue to be finishing up near the top of points and visiting victory lane.

Now that we’ve introduced Meade the racer, let’s meet Meade off the track. When he isn’t turning the wheel or wrenching on the car in the shop, Hahn is working as an HVAC installer, something he’s done for the majority of his life.  In his free time, Meade and his wife, Rachel, volunteer for Susquehanna Service Dogs, raising and training future service dogs for the organization.  Meade also takes time to spend with his grandson and family. He also makes time to watch the Eagles on Sundays and anything racing in a circle.

2026 at the moment looks to kick off this weekend with a show at Port Royal Speedway on April 18th. This race will be streamed on FloRacing, so make sure to tune in. After that, an appearance at the Selinsgrove Speedway will follow on April 24th, as the limited division makes their first start of the season there.

The family would like to thank each of their partners and all the friends that help out. Jack Azz Distilling, Empowered By You Counseling, and MGM Mechanical Inc. all help to make the 7 car go around the track, and the team couldn’t do it without them. As always, the team is happy to welcome any new sponsors or partners who want to come along and help make this family dream continue, season after season.

Stay up to date with the team’s schedule on Facebook and make sure to get out and support your local track.

Lattomus Begins To Shine: Everything Is Starting To Click

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

York Haven, PA – April 16, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Consistency is a good thing.  Consistency allows a team to establish a connection between their actions and the results.

Preston Lattomus has been the definition of consistent so far during the 2026 sprint car season.  He has performed well in qualifying and faced similar challenges later in the event most nights.

The Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches, EZGO / Golf Cart Services, Betts Garage, Magoo’s Motorsickles No.91 team is working hard to build on that solid foundation to find the key to reaching the next level of performance.

THE RESULTS

Lattomus opened the month of April with a two-race weekend at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways.  He achieved a 410 sprint car career first by winning his heat race both nights.  He started on the front row in both main events, finishing 9th and 5th.

Over the most recent weekend, Lattomus raced at Port Royal Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, again starting out strong by qualifying 4th quickest in his group both nights and posting 3rd place finishes in his heat race both nights.

Lattomus started 14th and 10th, respectively, in those A-mains and finished 16th in both.

BREAKING IT DOWN

So, what challenges has Lattomus faced in the A-mains that have affected his finishes?

“Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had plenty of speed in the beginning of the night, with qualifying shows and heat races that have been good enough to put us starting up front in the feature.  I think the biggest thing for me in the feature is just racing with the other cars,” Lattomus explained.

The reason for falling short of translating potential into desired results?  Sometimes it’s not as simple as ‘missing the setup’.

It’s been said that driving winged 410 sprint cars is like strapping yourself to a rocket and trying to steer it.  Making all the right moves and decisions behind the wheel to get the most out of a sprint car is an art that one learns over time through experience.

Lattomus continued.  “For me, the racecraft of passing isn’t a big deal, but I need to work on the aero aspects.  I need to do a better job of getting my wing speed up on the starts and restarts.  I feel like I have lost every position on a restart, and I have to work extra hard to get it back.”

“The car has been very good the last couple of weeks, definitely better than what I have to show for it.”

It takes man and machine working together to get the desired results, and right now, Lattomus says his machine is ready, so he’s working hard to do his part.

Lattomus continued.  “Racing more with the better cars helps, and I’m able to do that lately with the car having good speed throughout the night.  I know the more I get to race up front, the more accustomed I will get to staying up front, and that’s what I look forward to.”

The Lewes, Delaware driver has proven to be a quick study at every level of racing he has taken on, and to further demonstrate that point, he is doing it again in what Tony Stewart has said are the toughest race cars on the planet to drive, winged 410 sprint cars.

“As far as my progress and development go, I am putting together some great laps every night, and it’s a big positive to have that kind of consistency.  Last year, I really didn’t know what I was doing; this year, I understand what I need to do for the car to work to its potential,” Lattomus shared.

“Simply understanding what creates speed has been key for me. Yet, I maintain the mindset of improving each time I hit the track, focusing on different areas, whether it’s hitting my marks or driving the car as it is intended.”

UPCOMING PLANS

Lattomus will compete at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways in Pennsylvania this weekend.  The Friday and Saturday shows are PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series events, with the latter also being the annual Weldon Sterner Memorial.

Fans can keep up with Preston’s schedule, results, team news, and all the latest information at PrestonLattomus.com.

Rollercoaster Results for Snook to End March & Begin April

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Port Royal, PA – April 9, 2026

by Derick Kriner / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jason Walls / WRT Speedwerx

With the racing season finally getting underway in Pennsylvania, Lane Snook would take aim at his own 23 car and the local racing scene. With only a few shows being completed over the past month, any opportunity to get on the track was valuable. While April still has a lot to come, let’s look back at the first three races of the 23 team’s season.

March ended up only seeing the 23-car race one time. That being the season opener at Port Royal Speedway, in the super late model ranks. Having a strong run in the heat race and picking up his first super heat win, opening day was going well. While running in the top five during the feature, the driver and team hit a snag.

“We had a stone get in between the oil pump belt and the pulley, where it chewed the teeth on the oil pump belt and made it come off.” This ended a promising run that Lane felt was going to result in a top-five run. Nevertheless, the team would end up posting a DNF, took some precautions, and had the super motor looked over before running it again.

The team’s next race would take place as the calendar flipped to April with a two-race weekend. Beginning at Bedford Speedway in the limited car, the team would pick up in that division, where they left off in 2025. Starting on the pole of the heat and winning put him in the redraw, where he would end up rolling off 3rd in the feature.

“I didn’t get our tires hot enough before the race, as they didn’t fire off, and I made a mistake in turn 1 of the first lap, which made us fall back to 7th.” After a restart, Snook was able to regroup and start his march to the front. Ending up with the lead near the halfway point, Lane held on to grab his first win of the season. A strong rebound from a disappointing showing a few weeks before.

After staying up into the early hours of the morning after Bedford, the team would wake up for a home game at Port Royal Speedway. Off the bat, the team battled some adversity. Folding the nose in during hot laps, the crew thrashed and was able to make repairs and get Lane out for the heat race, where he drove from 4th to the win. Redrawing the 2 pill, the team was poised for another shot at a win. Mother Nature put a pause on that, however, with rain falling during the 410 sprint car feature and canceling the race.

“We start 2nd in the makeup feature, if we’re able to make it.” All in all, another strong night that the team could be proud of.

Something else the young driver from Port Royal can be proud of is his growth with the fans and people in the industry. Lane was able to take part in a fan meet and greet on Saturday at The Speed Palace.

“The meet and greet was cool for sure, getting to see a lot of faces I haven’t seen all winter,” stated Lane. “I feel like we are gaining recognition,” stated Lane, and went on to mention, “with the season we had last year, that definitely helped to put my name out there.”

Snook was honored during opening ceremonies for part of that dominant season, as Port Royal presented him with his 2025 track champion accolades.
“I’m very grateful for all the people I’ve met over the past few years and everyone who has helped me throughout my career.” Lane also mentioned some of the new relationships he’s made over the offseason and how he hopes to continue those and help himself grow.

As the team continues to try to duplicate the efforts of 2025 in some capacity, their schedule ramps up, giving them a lot more opportunities to test their equipment. April will hopefully feature a lot more super late model racing. April 10th and 11th will feature trips to Selinsgrove and Port Royal, respectively, both in super late model competition.

The same setup will repeat on April 17th and 18th, with Selinsgrove and Port. Then the team takes aim at the Lucas Oil Late Models, as they travel to the mid-Atlantic region. The team will plan to compete at BAPS Motor Speedway on April 25th, for the series first visit to the speedway for a $25k to win show.

Make sure to stay tuned to the team website (LaneSnookRacing.com) and socials for any schedule changes and results. Even though the first few shows have been up and down in results, Snook and team look to smooth things out and get back into their groove throughout the rest of April.

ABOUT  LANE SNOOK

After racing go-karts for several years, he made the move into the limited late model division in 2023. In 2024, he found success in the division, collecting 5 wins at 2 different tracks. Zach Newlin Set for Double Duty in Newlin Racing 410 and Mansberger 358 in 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Millerstown, PA – April 9, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Zach Newlin is poised for a busy 2026 racing season, a welcome change compared to the limited seat time last season.

The Millerstown, PA driver will take on the continued challenge of building the family-owned 410 winged sprint car program, plus he will return to the 358 sprint car division for numerous races.

RETURN OF THE 21M

We have more to tell you about the plans for the Newlin Racing 11z this season, but first, we want to share some good news.

The Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car team will return for 2026 with Newlin at the wheel.

Newlin wheeled the car for four seasons for the late Dan Mansberger from 2021-2024, including returning the team to victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway in 2023.

After a little over a year on the sidelines, Dan’s son, Nathan Mansberger, is continuing the family tradition.

Realistically, the 21m is my chance of winning races this year, so I’m definitely ready to get back to being competitive in that car,” Newlin commented.

The team will compete at Williams Grove Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway this season.

410 UPDATE

Not long after Newlin’s 2025 season ended prematurely with a bent frame, he acquired another RPM Chassis with help from supporter Butler Hill Maple Farm and began building a new car.  That project was completed last week after the refreshed motor was dropped between the frame rails, and the fresh wrap was applied.

While Newlin is known for sporting a specific shade of green on many of his cars over the years, he has also strayed from that with white and black cars.  This year’s car leverages that ‘Zach Daddy Green’ in a whole new way.

Newlin’s son, Caleb, designed this year’s car.  He came up with a beautiful, eye-catching scheme that transitions from white to orange to green from front to back.

“I thought Caleb’s design was super cool.  Who else gets to race a car their kid designed?” an excited Newlin shared.

“We are building this 410 program, but we know it’s going to take time.  We are going to go out and try our hardest with the hand we are dealt.”

Newlin plans to compete in 20-25 races at Port Royal, BAPS, Selinsgrove, and Path Valley Speedways in Central PA.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Winged 410 sprint car racing is an expensive venture and requires a lot of support.  Newlin Racing is fortunate to have dedicated partners who have enabled it to continue building its program.

Returning as Newlin Racing’s primary partner for the 2026 season is Butler Hill Maple Farm.  The Knoxville, PA-based business offers high-quality maple products, including syrup, infused syrups, and sweet treats, all handcrafted by 31-year U.S. Army veteran Corrie Bacon. “We can’t thank everyone who supports us enough.  This literally would not be possible without each one of them,” Newlin said, gesturing toward his sharp-looking 410 sprint car.

ABOUT ZACH NEWLIN

Zach started racing go-karts in 1998 at the age of 10, stepped up to 600 micro sprints in 2005, and moved into 305 sprints in 2013. Following seven highly successful seasons in the 305 sprint car ranks, he moved into the 358 sprint car ranks in 2020. He found victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway in his rookie season in the Newlin Racing 11z and was awarded Rookie of the Year honors. He has piloted the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car since 2021 and captured another Williams Grove victory aboard that car in 2023. Zach gained 410 sprint car experience with a few car owners from 2020-2022, including making his first World of Outlaws A-main at the wheel of the Pryde Motorsports No.29 in 2022, before making the decision to build his own 410 sprint car program by resurrecting the Newlin Racing 11z in 2023.

Tyler Ross Feeling Good Despite Recent Roller Coaster Results

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abbottstown, PA – April 8, 2026

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Image Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Coming off back-to-back top-ten finishes, including a podium, to open the month of March, Tyler Ross was feeling good about the team’s speed and fast start.

As a veteran 410 sprint car racer, Ross knows every day is a new day and nothing in the sport is guaranteed.  You control what you can control and hope that is good enough to produce the results you want.

UPS AND DOWNS

On March 22nd, Ross ventured to Williams Grove Speedway for their season-opener.  An undesirable pill draw put the Lincoln University, PA driver behind the eight ball from the start of the night.  Despite moving forward in the heat, it was only good enough to earn the 19th starting spot for the 25-lap A-main.

Ross worked his way up to 16th by lap ten, but his progress had stalled, and with the daytime surface making passing difficult, he opted to save his equipment.

“We have to make smart choices with our resources.  It’s how the sport is for most teams these days.  It’s just not worth it to put laps on our motor and use up our equipment when we are running mid-pack or worse,” Ross explained.

One week later, Ross unloaded at BAPS Motor Speedway and got back on track.  He timed 5th quickest in his group, moved forward in his heat race, started 13th in the 30-lap A-main, and converted it into an 8th-place finish on a top-dominant surface that saw slide jobs used as the primary means of forward progress.

Ross returned to The Grove to open the month of April, and despite being down a cylinder at times throughout the night, turned in another top-ten finish.  A solid 7th to 4th performance in his heat race put him 11th on the grid for the main event, and his efforts resulted in a 7th-place finish.

The following night, the team was back at Lincoln Speedway, where they had been running very well thus far in 2026.  This night started well enough with a 5th-place heat race performance.  In the feature, Ross had quickly moved from 14th to 10th in the early going when disaster struck.  He was left with nowhere to go when a crash unfolded in front of him.  The damage was limited, thankfully, but it ended his night.

“We were really going good until that incident.  We definitely had a top-ten car…and honestly, I think we were good enough to get to the top five,” Ross lamented.

“We were fortunate to even be here.  Shout out to the guys at Don Ott Racing engines.  We stopped by there today, and they quickly found the cause of last night’s cylinder issue and fixed us up so we could race tonight.”

SUMMING IT UP

The two recent top-ten finishes, bookended by two DNFs, are not what Ross focuses on.  That’s not how Ross Racing measures success.

“Finishes never tell the whole story.  Our entire team is happy right now because we have had speed and we have been passing cars,” Ross said.

“I’m really looking forward to time trial shows where we have more control of our night.  I think we are going to be just fine.  The podiums and wins will come if we keep doing what we are doing.”

The stats certainly back up Ross’s perspective.  He is +20 positions in heat race and feature finishes combined, in which he has seen the checkered flag thus far in 2026.

LOOKING AHEAD

Ross’s next race will be this weekend at BAPS Motor Speedway when the track hosts 410 sprint cars at 5 pm on Sunday, April 12th.

Fans should follow “Ross Racing 5” on Facebook to keep up with schedule updates and news throughout Tyler’s season!

Coming just a day after April Fools’ Day, this is no joke — Tony Jackson is returning to the driver’s seat.

The veteran racer will pilot the Scott Hess Racing Sportsman for a select winged and wingless schedule in 2026, after previously announcing that 2025 would be his final season behind the wheel.

Jackson’s return will begin with a pair of wingless events on April 24 at Williams Grove Speedway and April 25 at Port Royal Speedway. He also plans to compete in wingless competition alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars at Lincoln Speedway on May 5th.

“This was always kind of the plan, but I wanted Scott to be able to find someone to race full-time, as I just really didn’t want to do it all that much,” said Jackson. “I wanted to give Chase and the team the time to get going and get racing first, respectively, but we wanted to get the word out and start getting ready to go compete for wins.”

Jackson’s 2026 schedule will be selective, allowing him to balance time away from full-time competition while still competing for victories in the familiar Scott Hess Racing entry. Following a successful 2025 campaign, Jackson credited the support of his sponsors, friends, and family as the driving force behind his decision to come back for a limited run.

“We have a rough schedule kind of laid out, but this gives me the ability to be flexible and make sure my family and business get my attention first,” he said. “If I have something on the schedule and my boy has a ballgame that pops up, that’s going to get my attention and that’s the plan.”

Jackson also emphasized that his return will not take away from Chase Gutshall’s efforts behind the wheel of Scott Hess Racing’s winged Sportsman.

“Chase is already kind of stepping into a tough situation with a car that’s won a lot of races and been successful,” he said. “I want to make sure he can feel confident and appreciated, and I’m sure those guys are going to win a lot of shows together. There may be a few nights where we run two cars here and there, and ultimately the goal for us is to just have some fun, win some races, and hopefully we can both do that for Scott and all our sponsors.”

Additional appearances will be announced at a later date.
