Preston Lattomus is excited and thankful to have the opportunity to wheel the Capitol Custom Trailers and Coaches No.91 winged sprint car for the 2025 racing season. As a young driver who has already made his share of headlines over the past eleven years, this opportunity marks a significant milestone in Preston’s racing career, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter and further growth.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD

At just 18 years old, Lattomus, from Lewes, Delaware, has already carved out a reputation as a formidable talent behind the wheel. His motorsport journey began with quarter midgets in 2013, where he quickly demonstrated his abilities by securing four USAC National Championships. These early achievements laid a solid foundation for his advancement to micro sprints, where he accumulated multiple victories across Pennsylvania’s competitive tracks.

Despite his young age, Preston’s determination and skill have consistently propelled him forward, earning him a well-deserved place in higher tiers of racing. In 2019 he competed in seven USAC SpeeD2 Pavement Midget Series races and at 12 years old became the youngest driver to win in the series.

In 2023, Lattomus transitioned to the 358 sprint cars, marking another pivotal step in his career trajectory. His adaptation to the 358s was swift and successful, resulting in three significant wins in 2024 at notable tracks such as Williams Grove Speedway, BAPS Motor Speedway, and Lincoln Speedway. These victories not only underscored his ability to compete at higher levels but also highlighted his potential to excel in the 410 sprint car division.

HOW IT STARTED

Although he was the first in his family to strap into a racecar, Lattomus has been around racing his entire life. His father is a lifelong fan of the sport and was a car owner for modified driver Richie Pratt Jr. in the early 2000s.

His father’s connections to people competing in quarter midgets provided the pathway to get Lattomus behind the wheel in that division at the age of six.

ANTICIPATION

Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Lattomus is eager to embrace the challenges of the 410 sprint car division. He is set to embark on an ambitious schedule, participating in 50-60 events with a primary focus on Pennsylvania’s renowned tracks like Williams Grove and Lincoln. Additionally, Lattomus aims to compete in touring series events including the World of Outlaws (WoO) and High Limit series when they are on his home turf. He also left the door open to the possibility of traveling in 2025 to gain additional experience.

Preston’s objectives for his rookie year in the 410s are clear: to gain knowledge, refine his skills, and maintain a competitive edge.

“My goal for next season is to learn as much as possible but also be competitive. By the end of the year I want to be one of the top guys competing for an upfront spot every night.”, Lattomus said.

With seasoned mentors such as Scott McClaren and Kyle Reinhardt providing invaluable guidance, good equipment under him, and robust support from key sponsors Capitol Custom Trailers and Delaware Auto Glass, Lattomus is well-positioned to pursue those goals. It is certain to be a season filled with both challenges and achievements.

GUIDANCE AND MENTORSHIP

Scott McClaren, known for his methodical approach and deep knowledge, has helped the young Delaware pilot fine-tune his strategies both on and off the track. McClaren and Lattomus have excelled in communicating at the racetrack about the track, setup, and strategy.

“Scott is very methodical and knowledgeable about all things racing. Scott tries to leave the driving up to me. He wants me to learn and figure things out my own way, although when needed Scott definitely keeps me on the right path to becoming a better driver.”, Lattomus commented.

Kyle Reinhardt, with his extensive experience behind the wheel and solid resume of accomplishments, has offered precise feedback and insights, enabling Lattomus to accelerate the learning process in a winged sprint car. Their relationship has provided Preston with the confidence to push his boundaries.

“We had a session at BAPS with the 410 and Kyle came to help me with the learning curve, with our few sessions Kyle was able to tell me where to get better every time I came off the track. He is very precise with the feedback he gives and I am looking forward to learning as a driver with Kyle by my side.”, Lattomus shared.

Mississippi’s Baker River Racing Teams Up with Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management to Amplify Marketing and Promotion Efforts

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Harrisburg, PA – December 20, 2024

Baker River Racing (BRR), an ambitious and community-focused racing team led by Adrian and Becky Tetreault, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Addicted2Dirt (A2D) PR & Media Management. This collaboration aims to amplify BRR’s marketing and promotional efforts, enhancing the team’s visibility and attracting valuable partnerships in the highly competitive racing industry.

ABOUT BRR

Baker River Racing has built a solid reputation through their dedication to racing and community involvement. With an established presence in racing, including notable achievements such as Rookie of the year racing a D2 midget with the USAC DMA club, BRR is set to leverage the expertise of A2D PR to further expand their reach. This partnership signifies a mutual dedication to fostering strong audience engagement and securing strategic sponsorships to support the team’s racing endeavors.

“Partnering with Addicted2Dirt PR is an important step in advancing Baker River Racing’s mission to achieve both our racing and community goals. With A2D’s expertise and our passion for racing, we are poised to make a stronger impact on and off the tracks,” stated Adrian Tetreault, co-founder of Baker River Racing.

ABOUT A2D

Addicted2Dirt founder, Rich “MrAddicted2Dirt” Watts, brings extensive PR experience within the dirt motorsports industry, providing teams like BRR with the tools and strategies needed to thrive. “We are excited to work with Baker River Racing, a team that shares our dedication to community engagement and competitive performance,” said Watts.

“Adrian reached out to us with an idea and we sensed his energy and commitment right away.  We have been interested in expanding into the Mid-South region and he wanted to get the tools to grow his team’s resources, so this deal is a win for both of us.”

BAKER RIVER RACING’S HISTORY

Baker River Racing’s history traces back to the early 2000s, beginning with 500cc wingless Mini Sprints at Winchester Speedpark in New Hampshire.  The team made the long haul from their home in Connecticut to race there every weekend.

As the team evolved, they transitioned through various racing disciplines, including 270 micros and Mini Stocks, before focusing on asphalt racing at venues like Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut. After a brief hiatus from active racing, Adrian reignited his passion and the team purchased a D2 midget, earning accolades such as Rookie of the Year with the USAC DMA club.

“We moved to Mississippi a couple years ago.  There’s no midget racing here, so we had the bright idea to buy an open 305 sprint car and I’m glad we did. It’s the most fun I have had in a car ever!,” Adrian explained with a broad smile.

Now focused on open sprint car racing, Baker River Racing competes primarily at Riverside International Speedway and other tracks across the Midwest and South, balancing their competitive aspirations with meaningful community engagements.

2025 PLANS

BRR’s schedule this season will primarily consist of races at Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas and Benton Speedway in Missouri, with select USCS and ASCS shows added in.

The team will start the year off racing with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS), competing on February 28th & March 1st at Hattiesburg Speedway in it’s Mississippi namesake town, followed by a two-day event March 21st and 22nd at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Adrian also shared the team’s goal of traveling in 2025 to places like Volusia and All-Tech Speedways in Florida, as well as Deep South Speedway (AL), Greenville Speedway (MS), Benton Speedway (MO) and Crowley’s Ridge (AR).

“We are looking to run as often as our budget and real job allow.” he shared.

MyRacePass Now Official Website Provider for Addicted2Dirt PR

Partnership Makes Addicted2Dirt PR a One Stop Shop for Client Needs

Harrisburg, PA – July 17, 2023

Addicted2Dirt PR and Media Management (A2D PR) has been providing public relations and social media management services to a growing client base since being established in 2020.

Now, owner Rich Watts has formed a partnership with MyRacePass that will help grow A2D PR and provide even more comprehensive services to clients.

MyRacePass, an over 15 year old software company based out of Lincoln, NE, brings all racing related content together and distributes it back through the network via tagged drivers, tracks, racing series/associations, and motorsports related businesses.

MRP, The Ultimate Racing Resource

MyRacePass (MRP) has become ‘The Ultimate Racing Resource’ since originating as ‘Driver Websites’ in 2008 and eventually evolving to become MRP in 2014.  The company not only specializes in providing professional, mobile-optimized websites that are a leader in the racing industry and beyond, they offer many other services to support public relations needs, such as apparel, banners, flags and even hero cards.

In addition, the company’s app is widely used by series, racetracks and teams across many forms of racing.  The websites built by MRP are fully integrated with their app, bringing news, profiles and statistics to a large audience of racing fans and partners.

Combining Forces to Add Value

Ben Shelton, Director of Driver Websites at MyRacePass, is looking forward to what the new pairing can do for both companies.

“Much like MyRacePass, Addicted2Dirt is a rapidly growing company, and we are excited to now be working with Rich Watts and his staff on websites for their clients. With his knowledge of racing paired with our custom website platform, I know that together we can help the Addicted2Dirt clients reach their marketing goals,” Shelton said. “I’ve gotten to know Rich over the past few years, and he shares the same passion for racing that our team at MyRacePass does, and we can’t wait to see what the future of this partnership holds for both his company and ours.”

About A2D PR

Websites are a key cornerstone for a race team or business to reach their audience.”, said Rich Watts, founder and owner of Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management.

Promoting and communicating requires an ability to get your information out where it can be discovered and consumed.  In today’s world there are so many outlets for information and a business needs to be out there in as many of them as possible to reach people.  Given that, working with MyRacePass and the integrated products they provide is a no-brainer for my business.  Their network allows our work to reach far more people with much less effort.  The cherry on top is that Ben (Shelton) and his staff are great people to work with.  They are a reliable, dedicated and passionate group.  We are proud to be partnering with them.

A2D PR is in the midst of its fourth year of providing ‘Personal and Powerful Dirt Motorsports Public Relations’.  The Pennsylvania based company strives to provide drivers, teams and businesses with a professional public image that will attract marketing partners and fans.

We strive to provide our services with a personalized touch that connects people with the driver, team or business by sharing their personality, their story, their struggles and their achievements.  It takes more time and effort to do that, but we believe that is key to lasting relationships.“, Watts shared.

Look for information about these new service offerings to be added to A2DPR.com in the very near future!

A Personal Note About #TeamA2D

Harrisburg, PA – November 24, 2021

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

 )

2021 was a year of firsts.  A year full of reasons to be thankful.

I want to say right up front, this article will have a slightly different perspective than you are used to reading here.  This is a personal note of reflection and expression of appreciation.  I’ll try to be brief.

When I started Addicted2Dirt PR just before the 2020 season, my goal was simply to try to contribute to the sport I have been passionate about for many years.  Austin Berry and ABR allowed me to take my vision and make it something real.  Just a few months later, Zach Newlin and Newlin Racing believed enough in what I was doing to bring me into their fold to promote their efforts.  As the 2021 season opened, Kyle Reinhardt and RQM Enterprises took the same step of faith.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my wife and the full support she has given me and this vision from the beginning.  I really should be saying ‘we’ anytime I mention A2D.  She has helped me shape every aspect of what we are trying to do together for the sport.

We now have two seasons under our belt, hopefully making a difference along the way.  These three teams have given us that opportunity and we could not be more appreciative and thankful.

We have been blessed to be a small part of some wonderful moments:

  • Austin’s first super late model win this season
  • Zach’s first 358 sprint checkered flag in 2020
  • Zach’s first Outlaw A-main in 2021
  • Kyle’s first All-Star victory this year

Here’s to 2022.  May we all experience continued success and growth in the year ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Caleb Newlin Takes Home First Karting Victory

Finds Victory Lane in Rookie Season

Millerstown, PA – September 21, 2021

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

 )

Caleb Newlin strapped into his go-kart Friday night to race for only about the tenth time in his life.  As a matter of fact, all those races have been in 2021, his first season competing.  He was set to compete in the Pre-Rookie Caged division at Seven Stars Speedway, a dirt track just outside Millerstown, PA, about 25 minutes northeast of Port Royal Speedway.  It is a track where a lot of young Central PA racers have learned the craft of racing.

Following hot laps, Newlin officially kicked off the night by starting on the outside of the front row in his heat race.  He settled into second at the drop of the green and held on firmly to finish 2nd in the qualifying race.  The finish earned him the second starting spot in the feature later that night.

The young Newlin, son of sprint car racer “Zach Daddy” Zach Newlin, took advantage of his starting spot in the feature event and grabbed the lead on lap one.  After leading for several laps, Newlin slipped to second.

Caleb wasn’t ready to give up just yet though.  He battled back to reclaim the lead a lap later.  With two laps remaining, the yellow flag slowed the field.  Newlin survived the restart and remained out front to claim his first ever racing victory.

It was a happy night for Caleb and his family, especially after the young racer missed several races due to a broken wrist and multiple rainouts this season.  There are a few more races remaining this year for Newlin, so we will have to stay tuned to see if he can collect another checkered flag during his rookie season.

Quiet Weekend for #TeamA2D Provides Opportunity for Preparation

Schedule Beginning to Heat Up for Teams

Harrisburg, PA – May 10, 2021

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

Both Zach Newlin and Austin Berry planned to be behind the wheel this past weekend.  Mother Nature wasn’t cooperative.

“Zach Daddy” was slated to strap into the Mansberger Motorsports 358 sprint car on Friday, May 7th at Williams Grove Speedway but racing was cancelled due to weather, as was his 410 season debut on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway in the Burke Motorsports ride.

Austin Berry was anxious to get back to the track Saturday, May 8th at Port Royal to continue building on the top 10 run he had logged the week prior, but of course that was nixed as well.

The only unaffected team was Kyle Reinhardt and the RQM Enterprises, Capitol Renegade No.91 team, who had already planned to take the weekend off to prepare for an upcoming busy stretch.  Next up for Reinhardt is a trip to the Midwest for two events with the All Star Circuit of Champions.  On May 14th the tour will stop at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI, followed by a stop at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL on May 15th.

As for Austin Berry Racing, they are sorting out their options for the coming weeks.  Selinsgrove Speedway on May 15th and the the 2-day World of Outlaw Late Models show at Port Royal Speedway on Fri/Sat May 21st-22nd are all on their radar but final decisions have not yet been made.  Stay tuned to Addicted2Dirt PR’s website and social media for updates.

Next up for Zach Newlin will be a weekend off as well, then he will be back in the seat of the Mansberger Motorsports 358 sprint car for a show at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 21st, followed (tentatively) by Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, May 22nd in the Burke Motorsports 410 sprint car.

We’re partial to #TeamA2D and hope you’ll follow us, but be sure to get out to your local track wherever you are to support their efforts and your favorite driver(s)!

#TeamA2D Upcoming Weekend Outlook

The Latest Info on Newlin Racing and Austin Berry Racing

Harrisburg, PA – September 24, 2020By Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

Friday night, September 25th, will find the Newlin Racing 358 sprint car team at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA. The 358 Sprints will be in action for the final time in 2020 at the historic facility as part of the 410 Sprint Car Outlaw Tune-Up.

Zach Newlin will be looking for back-to-back wins in the Smith Concrete & Construction / Heather Sims, Realtor / J.W. Smith Auto Body / T&M Homebuilders, Inc. / Ron’s RV Sales / Kirby Kitner Excavating / Hammaker Racing Engines / The Podium Awards / Advanced Septic Services / Walker Performance Filtration #11z, having visited victory lane the last time the division was in action, back on September 4th at “The Grove”.

Newlin currently sits 7th in the standings, just 90 points out of 6th and 105 points out of 3rd. He is also the only driver other than Derek Locke and Kevin Nouse to reach victory lane in 2020 on the Mechanicsburg half-mile.

Unfortunately, Austin Berry Racing will not be in action this weekend as neither of the team’s motors are race-ready. Repairs to their primary motor have not been completed and the backup motor is ‘lapped-out’ and in need of a refresh.

The team’s goal is to get their Rocket Chassis XR1, Swift Springs, MS Shock Therapy, Hershey Racing Engines, Berry’s Siding & Seamless Gutter, Nathan Berry Beef Farm #86 to the track at least one or two more times before the 2020 season ends.
