Kyle Reinhardt and his Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 team have been building momentum over the past couple months and compiling solid stats along the way.

The last couple race nights haven’t yielded results that reflect that but that’s how racing is.  Now Reinhardt has turned his attention to the coming weekend’s trip back to his home state of New Jersey for a two-day event at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, a high speed facility where the Neptune City native has posted impressive stats over the past couple years, including a victory almost exactly one year ago this week.

ON A MISSION

After posting four top-ten finishes in a five-race stretch at Lincoln Speedway, Reinhardt didn’t get the result he was looking for in the track’s season finale on October 19th.  A respectable qualifying run and heat race effort put him mid pack for the main event but he wasn’t able to make forward progress and settled for a 17th place finish.

A week later at BAPS Motor Speedway, Reinhardt again showed the good speed the team has had in recent months, posting the 2nd quickest lap in his group, transferring through his heat, and earning the 3rd starting spot for the 30-lap Finkenbinder Memorial.  Unfortunately, while passing in a top five spot, he got into the marbles and caught the fence, bringing an early end to what would have otherwise been another solid outing.

This weekend Reinhardt will have a great opportunity to hit reset at a track that has been to his liking since the 4-tenths mile, high banked configuration opened a few years ago in Swedesboro, NJ.

Reinhardt’s 2023 stats at Bridgeport Motorsports Park were as solid as they come.  Three races, three top five finishes, including a $15,000 victory in the Oktoberfest event.  The other outings were a 2nd with the All Star Circuit of Champions and a 5th with High Limit Racing.

“I’m really looking forward to going back home to race.”, Reinhardt commented.

We have been really consistent there (at Bridgeport) on the new configuration and I love racing there.  The place is so badass fast.  I got my first 410 win in my home state there last year, which was great with so many family and friends there.”

“We’ve had really good speed lately, so I think we can put on a good show this weekend.”

Because of a rainout earlier this year, this weekend’s event will be Reinhardt’s first opportunity to compete at Bridgeport this year.

“We’re due for a Coors victory lane beer shower.”, Reinhardt said.

UP NEXT

After this weekend’s two-day event at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, which will be available via live stream at DirtTrackDigest.tv for those who cannot make it, Reinhardt will quickly turn things around and head south to compete at the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, NC with the World of Outlaws.  That event takes place over four days, November 6th-9th.

Ashley Cappetta Reflects on End of 2024 Racing Season and Looks Ahead to 2025

Abbottstown, PA – October 24, 2024

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

After a rollercoaster week both on and off the track, Ashley Cappetta is taking the lessons learned and looking forward to what’s ahead for the 2025 season. Cappetta, closed out her 2024 racing season at Lincoln Speedway and participated in a Test and Tune session at BAPS Motor Speedway, last week.

“I felt really good in the feature,” Cappetta shared after Saturday night at Lincoln. “I just wish I had felt that good in the heat race.” Unfortunately, Cappetta misjudged the track in her heat race, struggling with too much stagger, which left her feeling “like a fish out of water.” Despite falling back to sixth in her heat, she found confidence later in the night.

During the B-main, Cappetta’s car felt significantly better, and she was able to move forward through the field. After making the feature through the B-main, Cappetta lined up 22nd for the feature, “It was a huge confidence booster to start in the back and pass cars. I probably had a top 10 car,” she reflected, grateful for the adjustments that helped improve her performance and finish 12th. After the races, Cappetta was especially appreciative of the fans who stopped by and supported her by purchasing merchandise.

Cappetta’s week also included a test session at BAPS Motor Speedway on Wednesday, where her team encountered engine trouble. “We hurt a motor during the first session at BAPS,” she explained. “The first six laps felt really good, but I’m thankful the issue showed up there and not at Lincoln—it could have ended our season in a bad way.”

ff the track, Cappetta is keeping busy with her participation in the Hanover Halloween Parade alongside Mike’s Towing and Recovery. She will also be at Lincoln Speedway’s Fall Fest on Saturday, October 26 greeting fans, signing autographs, and handing out candy and giveaways for kids from 2-6 PM. Merchandise will also be available for purchase.

As the season winds down, Cappetta is already sitting down to plan for 2025 while finishing up auctioneering scoring. She is also looking forward to hosting the 13th annual “Night at the Races” fundraiser on February 8 at the Irishtown Fire Company.

Reflecting on her 2024 season, Cappetta shared, “I learned a lot this year. I’m grateful for the off-season to regroup, focus on my business, school, and family, and come back stronger next year.”

Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway against the World of Outlaws, Kyle Reinhardt showcased his team’s recent speed.

The Keystone Showdown served as the stage for Reinhardt in his familiar Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91.  The team has found consistent speed the last few months and it showed against some of the toughest competition in sprint car racing.

BACK ON TRACK

The month of October opened with one of the most anticipated weekends of the year, the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on October 4th and 5th.  After showing good speed at the legendary oval in recent outings, Reinhardt came into the weekend feeling good about his chances to make the shows and post good finishes.  The weekend didn’t unfold as hoped though, and both shows ended in the B-main, short of the goal.

Reinhardt and team didn’t dwell on the National Open results.  They got back to work and turned their focus toward their next opportunity, which would come one week later at Lincoln Speedway, another track where he has displayed good speed recently.  In his last two outings at the Pigeon Hills oval, he posted finishes of 4th and 6th to add to two other top-ten finishes there earlier in the season.

The night got off to a positive start when Reinhardt turned in the 3rd quickest lap in Group B qualifying, a 13.964-second effort on his first of two laps.

The qualifying effort put the Neptune City, NJ native on the front row of the third heat race of the night.  Reinhardt brought home a runner-up finish behind winner Chase Dietz.  The qualifying run put him into the Dash.

Reinhardt drew the third starting spot for the 8-lap dash.  The finishing order would establish the front four rows of the main event lineup.  At the drop of the green, he grabbed the 2nd spot behind leader Sheldon Haudenchild.  He held that position until lap five and ultimately finished 4th to claim the outside row two starting spot for the A-main.

In the 35-lap finale, the opening laps shuffled Reinhardt back to 6th, and by lap ten he had dropped to 9th.  During the middle third of the race, he briefly found himself outside of the top ten looking in but he battled his way back to 9th as the race entered the final ten circuits.

David Gravel wrestled the 9th spot away from Reinhardt with five laps remaining, relegating him to a hard-fought 10th-place finish.

“It was a great night for us.  Disappointed with our feature effort.  We slipped pretty bad at the drop of the green but overall it was a great night making the dash and finishing top-ten at an Outlaw event.”, Reinhardt commented.

“We have been solid the last few months.  We have about eight dates remaining on our 2024 schedule and we are working hard to put ourselves in position to win races.”

UP NEXT

Reinhardt will return to Lincoln Speedway Saturday night for the track’s season finale, Night of Champions, which will award the winner with a $15,000 payday at the conclusion of a 50-lap finale.

Prior to the night’s racing action, Reinhardt will make an appearance at Stan’s Beverage in Carlisle, PA from 12-4pm.  Fans are encouraged to stop by to meet Kyle and get an up close look at his No.91 sprint car, plus pick up some ice cold Coors Banquet for the weekend!

Reinhardt Posts Podium Finish at Williams Grove

Mechanicsburg, PA – September 24, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt opened the month of September with new found speed and results that showed the momentum he was building.

The three day Tuscarora 50 put a brief damper on the positive vibes in the No.91 pit area as the team struggled to get their powerplant to perform to its potential.

After a weekend off, Reinhardt returned at Williams Grove Speedway over the weekend and showed he has a lot of speed and he has his program going the right direction.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  September 20, 2024

  • Event:  Kevin Gobrecht Challenge
  • Division:  410 Sprint Cars
  • Location:  Williams Grove Speedway, Mechanicsburg, PA
  • Stats:  24 cars, Qualifying 2nd, Heat 4th (4), A-main 3rd (4)

BOLD MOVE, HEATED BATTLE

Reinhardt kicked off Friday night’s Kevin Gobrecht Challenge by ripping off the second quickest lap in qualifying, just 0.071 seconds behind quick timer T.J. Stutts.

He proceeded to transfer to the A-main with a 4th place finish in his heat race to put the Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 in the show with a starting spot outside row two.

Reinhardt started 4th in the 25-lap A-main and quickly grabbed the 3rd spot with a power move around the outside of Lucas Wolfe off turn four on the opening lap.

The Neptune City, NJ native chased Stutts and Justin Whittal, never leaving them out of sight.  Just past the midpoint of the race, Freddie Rahmer drew close to Reinhardt in lapped traffic but the No.91 was up to the challenge, maintaining a grasp on 3rd.

Following a red flag with ten laps remaining, Reinhardt took his shot.  He slid under Stutts in turn three and briefly held second before Stutts crossed over and reclaimed the spot.

Reinhardt continued to challenge Stutts, pressuring him high and low to take away the runner up position, but couldn’t wrestle the spot away and took the 3rd place finish.

“I’m happy with our speed right now.  We’ve worked hard to get to this point.  As long as we keep up with that, opportunities to win will come as well.”, Reinhardt commented.

Reinhardt will need to continue to build on his recent performance to close out the season with a good foundation for 2025.  He has about a dozen planned races remaining on his 2024 schedule, with over half of those against the World of Outlaws.  The other half against the tough Central PA regulars.

UP NEXT

Reinhardt will return to Williams Grove Speedway this Friday for the Outlaw tune-up, then will enter the Weldon Sterner Memorial Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.

Ashley Cappetta Reflects on Challenging Night, Eyes Redemption at Weldon Sterner Memorial

Abbottstown, PA – September 19, 2024

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

Ashley Cappetta’s night at Lincoln Speedway was anything but smooth, marked by early struggles and mechanical issues that derailed her hopes for a successful outing. A bad pill draw—going from a number 1 last week to drawing a 60 on Saturday—was the first sign that things were not going to go well. “I should have known right then and there it wasn’t going to be a good night,” Cappetta said.

Starting fourth in the makeup feature, Cappetta immediately sensed issues. “The car wasn’t good during warm-ups, so we made adjustments,” she explained. However, things took a turn in the first lap. As she went into turn 1, the car nearly got sideways. After adjusting the wing, the car broke loose in turns 3 and 4, causing her to spin. Thankfully, the rest of the field avoided contact.

After tagging the rear for the restart, Cappetta struggled to find her rhythm. “The car felt awful, so I pulled off and told Dad something wasn’t right,” she said. After a quick check, Cappetta was sent back out, but even with more adjustments—moving her wing all the way back—she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

“I was questioning everything—was it me? The car? The setup? I knew it wasn’t the motor,” she shared. After the feature, they discovered that the w-link was tight with no play, and the torque ball was locked up. “We messed with the rear end and got everything free, but it was really disappointing.”

In her heat race, things didn’t improve. Starting eighth, Cappetta struggled to feel comfortable on a track with much different conditions from earlier in the night. “It was really frustrating after the car felt so good the first time out,” she noted.

In the B-main, Cappetta started 12th and worked her way up to 6th, but despite her progress, time was against her. “I think we could have finished at least 4th to qualify, but with all of the wrecks and the time limit, our night ended early,” she lamented.

Reflecting on the difficult week, Cappetta expressed her frustration. “When everything is going wrong, and you go to the track hoping for a good night, it’s defeating to have a night like we did.” Beyond racing, Cappetta has been managing other challenges, including a family member going through a tough time and the loss of a friend.

Looking ahead to the Weldon Sterner Memorial, Cappetta is optimistic. “I think we figured out what caused the lock-up, and we’re hoping that fixes our issue,” she said. Although she’s uncertain about whether she’ll make it to BAPS for practice, she’s putting her focus on being prepared for the big race.

“We’ll at least fire the car to make sure everything is free. The things that go wrong never go wrong in the shop—it’s always at the track,” she added. Despite the rough patch, Cappetta is determined to remain positive. “I’m trying to put things in perspective. Other drivers are struggling, too. It’s a part of racing—it’s not just talent, it’s a lot of luck.”

With the Sterner Memorial up next, Cappetta is ready to regroup and focus on turning things around.

With Sportsman 100 in the Rearview, Tony Jackson Announces Planned Retirement From Racing Following 2025 Season

Newville, PA – September 19, 2024

Tony Jackson and Scott Hess Racing put forth their best effort this past Saturday in their attempt to score back-to-back Sportsman 100 victories at BAPS Motor Speedway, but late-race contact while battling for the lead relegated the team to a sixth-place finish on Saturday.

Jackson charged forward from his fourth starting position to take the lead on the opening circuit and lead the first 48 laps of the Winged Sportsman crown jewel event. Following a break at the halfway point, Jackson fell as far back as fourth on the grid but charged back to the lead on lap 65 before a caution negated the pass.

With five laps remaining, he was once again challenging for the lead and he and Scott Dellinger raced wheel-to-wheel over the final handful of laps. However, contact between the leaders caused Jackson to spin. With only eight cars left on the lead lap, Jackson lined up eighth and was able to pass two cars to settle for a sixth at the checkers.

“Overall, it was a good night. We had plenty of speed and I think me and the 30 car were the best cars there,” said Jackson. “We should’ve at least run second, but I was hoping to win my second 100 lapper in a row. We’re happy with the car but disappointed with the result. We’ll regroup and try and get another one of those things next year.”

With only one more planned Wingless Sportsman event on his 2024 schedule in November, Jackson will now start looking to the future. Next season will serve as Jackson’s final season behind the wheel of a sprint car as he is set to retire from competition after 2025.

The current plan is for Jackson to compete in a pick-and-choose type schedule focusing on winged and wingless sportsman racing with a goal to close out his career by hitting the 50-victory mark in the division. Jackson currently has 46 career victories to his name.

“The goal is to have a lot of fun and try and get to 50 wins overall in the Sportsman,” said Jackson. “ Then, I’ll call it a career, and hopefully in a couple of years my son will want to race and we’ll look to the future.”

While the 2024 season started optimistically for Jackson and Hess as they embarked on a rookie season in the 410 Sprint Car ranks, plans changed just after the halfway mark when Tony decided he wanted to scale back to focusing on the Sportsman. While the plan at the time was for him to jump back in the Sprint Car when he was ready, he ultimately decided to move forward with life after racing as the decision weighed on his mind.

“They say there is a certain time when you are just ready to do different stuff and this year, I’ve just kind of transitioned to a new mindset,” said Jackson. “I own my own business and I bought a new cabin, and I think my mind is just telling me it’s time to do something new.”

“When a Saturday comes along after a long week at work and you’re telling yourself that you don’t care if it rains, you know maybe it’s time to step away. Plus, when you’re doing it so much, it’s hard to really enjoy it. I don’t even really watch it at home anymore as I’m just not really into it enough to keep going,” he added.

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame driver Lance Dewease piloted the 410 Sprint Car for two shows following Jackson’s decision to step out of the car, and the veteran hot shoe will again compete for Hess this coming Saturday at BAPS during the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial.

Depending on schedules for the remainder of the season, he may drive the car for a handful of other 2024 shows as well. Plans for 2025 and the 410 Sprint Car team will be announced at a later date.

For Jackson, he’s incredibly grateful for all that Hess has done for him and continues to do for him and he’s looking forward to closing out this chapter of his life competing for wins and having fun. He noted that while it will be a bittersweet decision to close out this chapter, he’s looking forward to life after racing and the potential of his son getting involved down the road.

And he knows that if and when that time comes, he’ll have a ton of faithful and loyal supporters to back him as a result of relationships he’s made over the years.

“I’ve had some sponsors and supporters who have been with me from the get-go and I know if my son wants to get going that I’ve still got those people in my corner,” said Jackson. “It’s been great to have supporters like that. I’ve had the same names on my cars for the last 11 years and I’m proud of the fact I never burned those bridges and built up relationships. That’s the biggest thing that I’m most proud of. The wins and success have been cool, but I value those relationships more than ever and I hope to make them proud next season as I close out my career.”

Keen Overcoming Issues, Incidents and Learning Curve in Rookie 410 Sprint Season

Port Royal, PA – September 6, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos / WRT Speedwerx

It’s been a tough summer for 410 sprint car rookie Kyle Keen.

His season started reasonably well for a rookie on the tough Central PA circuit.  He qualified for 11 of his first 15 events and had an average finishing position of 18th.  It wasn’t about the finishing position, it was about finishing.  Making as many laps as possible each night to give himself the best chance to learn and improve.  He was accomplishing that goal.

As summer got into full gear, there seemed to be one challenge after another.  Between part failures, the learning curve, and incidents it seemed never-ending.

Keen went into 410 sprint car racing knowing it wouldn’t be easy though, so he just kept grinding it out.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  September 2, 2024

  • Event:  Labor Day Classic
  • Division:  410 Sprint Cars
  • Location:  Port Royal Speedway, ort Royal, PA
  • Stats:  40 cars, Group 1 Qualifying 3rd, Heat 2nd (4), A-main 20th (9)

OFF TRACK

PA Speedweek brought on the first hurdle of the summer for Keen when he encountered an engine part failure at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland.  It was his third Speedweek race attempt and third DNQ (did not qualify) but against the stout fields that series draws, there was certainly no reason to stress over the results.

The engine issue sidelined the Fine Line Auto Body, Hess Bid / Hess Auctioneers, Keen Parts / CorvetteParts.net, Shetron Trailers, Heishman Racing Fuels, DL Lehman Construction, Fuel Ox No.17k for four weeks.  Keen returned to Williams Grove Speedway on August 2nd, shook off the rust, and logged a 16th-place finish.  It seemed all was normal again.

That feeling was replaced with frustration over the following two weeks.  Keen raced four times, making only one feature and damaging two cars.

After showing good speed early in the evening in his first-ever venture to the track, Keen got caught up in an incident that started a few rows in front of him in the A-main at Lincoln Speedway on August 17th, then suffered a steering part issue one week later on August 23rd at Williams Grove Speedway in the B-main.

Each week he bounced back after long hours in the shop preparing to get back to the track.  The labor and expense are difficult enough to overcome but the mental toughness required to soldier on through trials like these is even harder for a driver, even if sometimes the circumstances are not your fault.

Confidence wanes.  Self-doubt creeps in.

Overcoming that can often be more difficult than figuring out the right setup for the race car.  They say a confident driver is worth two-tenths of a second, so when the going gets tough, all focus turns to getting back to basics.  The goal becomes to simply put together a full night, make the show, and get back to the shop with everything in one piece.

BACK ON TRACK

With racing action on August 30th and 31st washed out by rain, Keen shifted his attention to his first-ever Labor Day Classic at Port Royal Speedway.  The event provides a unique challenge to drivers and teams on the tricky daytime surface.

Keen got his afternoon off on the right foot by spinning off the 3rd quickest lap in his group to earn the 2nd starting spot in his heat race.

The Carlisle, PA native kept the momentum going, challenging for the lead on the opening lap of the heat race.  Chase Dietz fended off the surge by Keen, who settled into 2nd.  He went on to maintain full control of the runner-up spot to the finish.

Keen found himself with a top-ten starting spot for the 73rd Annual Labor Day Classic, something that quickly reinstated at least some of his confidence behind the wheel.

The only thing that didn’t go right for Keen on Monday afternoon was his setup choices for the feature.  The daylight surface was a new challenge and they guessed wrong, causing the No.17k to fall back in the running order.

Mired in 20th with less than ten laps remaining and nothing to gain from continuing, Keen retired from the event.

“We had the boat anchor out.”, Keen said with a good-natured grin.  “We missed the setup for the feature but it’s all good, it’s part of us learning to figure out what we need to be more hooked up with a full fuel load.”

“I’m proud of our team! We’ve been getting closer and closer this season.  And we haven’t quit despite some really tough challenges.  I’m really proud of how well we have been qualifying the last few races, which is a super important part of being successful in these things.”

Keen has the right attitude and work ethic to weather what his rookie season throws at him.  There are still a few races left and he intends to finish 2024 strong.

Newlin Getting 410 Program Sorted Out, Wins Labor Day Warrior Award

Port Royal, PA – September 5, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Starting a 410 sprint car program is not an easy task for anyone but it is an especially challenging effort for a family team stretching every dollar to make it happen.

After numerous highly successful years in the 305 sprint car ranks followed by quick success in the 358 division as well in his family-owned No.11z, Zach Newlin dabbled in the 410 ranks at the wheel of equipment other than his own for a couple years.  While there were some highlights in those limited outings, those rides didn’t seem to be the right fit.

In 2023 Newlin and his family decided to resurrect the family-owned team and take it to the 410 sprint car level.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  September 2, 2024

  • Class:  410 Sprint Cars
  • Location:  Port Royal Speedway, Port Royal, PA
  • Stats: 40 cars, Group Qualifying 6th, Heat 6th (8), B-main 9th (10)

PERSISTENCE

Newlin’s 2024 debut was delayed until June.  He came into it knowing he was down on horsepower compared to most of his competition but he needed to hit the track to start working out the bugs and building a notebook.  It takes time to build a 410 sprint car program and you can’t do it in the shop.

His first five outings of this season were a struggle.  The team battled a mystery power issue that would creep up mid-race.  The frustration reached unwanted levels.

Doubts briefly crept into Newlin’s mind.  Did he belong here?  Was it worth it?

The short answer to both:  yes.

Newlin and team kept digging and finally got to the bottom of the issue.  When Port Royal Speedway’s Labor Day Classic hit the clay on Monday afternoon, he timed 6th quick in his group, right in the thick of the regulars.

An 8th place finish in his heat race on the tough daytime surface put Newlin in the B-main where he raced to a 9th place finish from the 10th starting spot in his Ron’s RV Sales, Butler Hill Maple Farm, Tuscarora Roofing Co., Dillman Hauling,  Wintergreen Window Cleaning, Christine Booher, Safety-Kleen, Strange Oval, Walker Performance Filtration, Newlin Bar Service, The Podium Awards, Nesbit Innovations, Deimler Chiropractic and Your Dry Basement No.11z

Statistically it wasn’t a day to write home about but for this small team it was a hurdle cleared.  Now the process of tuning their car’s handling can finally begin in earnest.

To help broaden the smiles in the team’s pit after the race, Newlin was selected as the winner of the J&S Classics Warrior Award.  The prize, awarded to the driver who finishes in the position of the pill that is drawn, is presented courtesy of Sandy Kline.

While all of this has been playing out over the past couple months, Newlin has had a bigger engine being rebuilt as time and funds allowed.  That powerplant is nearly ready, so that award money will come in very handy to help keep this team progressing toward being a weekly competitor.

“I can’t thank Sandy (Kline) enough for putting up this award money and for everything she does for the sport.  All of us in the pit area appreciate her.”, Newlin said.

“I want to thank my mom, my dad, and my entire family for everything they do to help this team exist.  We knew this wouldn’t be easy.  We’re going to keep working hard to build a competitive 410 team.”

“We wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of our partners.  I want to say thanks to them all and I hope everyone will go out and support those folks who support us.”

UP NEXT

Tentatively, the next race for Newlin in the 11z is September 21st at BAPS Motor Speedway.  Other options are under consideration.  Stay tuned to Zach Newlin Racing on Facebook and Twitter for schedule updates!

Newlin has three 358 sprint car races remaining in the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m, all of which are at Williams Grove Speedway on September 13th, 20th and 21st.

Kyle Reinhardt Reels Off Third Straight Top Ten

Abbottstown, PA – September 3, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos /WRT Speedwerx Photography

What was supposed to be a three-race holiday weekend in Central PA for Kyle Reinhardt, quickly turned into a single event on Sunday night thanks to Mother Nature’s unwelcome visit to the region on a traditionally big Labor Day weekend of racing.

Reinhardt made the most of the night, snagging his third consecutive top-ten finish.

The Neptune City, NJ native is building momentum at an opportune time as several big events sit on the horizon.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  September 1, 2024

  • Event:  Labor Day Duels / Kevin Gobrecht Memorial
  • Division:  410 Sprint Cars
  • Location:  Lincoln Speedway, Abbottstown, PA
  • Stats:  31 cars, Qualifying 8th, Heat 2nd (2), A-main 6th (8)

KEEP IT ROLLIN'

Reinhardt was the 21st car to hit the track for qualifying Sunday evening in the 31-car field.  A late slot is often difficult for teams to overcome as track conditions decline, but the Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 was up to the task, registering the 8th quickest lap overall.

From his front-row starting spot in heat race number two,  Reinhardt challenged polesitter Troy Wagaman Jr. at the drop of the green.  He followed in the runner-up spot, working to chase down the leader, but ultimately settled for the 2nd place finish.

Reinhardt started outside the 4th row in the 40-lap A-main but couldn’t find a rhythm during the opening laps and slipped back to the 10th position.

As the race neared the halfway mark, Reinhardt gained momentum and started to move forward, taking over the 8th position on lap twenty-two.  Ten laps later he took possession of 6th and held a firm grasp on it to the checkers to collect his third consecutive top-ten finish.

“I’m very happy with our speed right now.  Timing good the last few weeks and competing for top-fives is a great jump from where we were the last few months.”, Reinhardt commented.  “We are looking to keep carrying the momentum through the rest of the season.”

UP NEXT

The three-night, High Limit Racing Sanctioned Tuscarora 50 event is next up for Reinhardt.  He and his team will sign in at Port Royal Speedway on September 5th, 6th, and 7th for the 57th annual edition of the lucrative race.

On both Thursday and Friday, the 410 sprint cars will race for $10,000 and Saturday’s finale will pay $57,000 to the victor.

SEASON STATS

30 races, 0 wins, 3 top 5’s, 11 top 10’s, 18 top 15’s, 21 top 20’s
