Newlin’s Weikert Memorial Weekend a Tough One

BK Motorsports Working Hard To Be Ready for Upcoming Weekend

Zach Newlin and the new BK Motorsports 410 sprint car team entered the 2-day Bob Weikert Memorial race weekend with very limited laps under their collective belt and very little time to get to know each other or their equipment.

Newlin’s first outing with the team at ‘The Speed Palace’ one week earlier was interrupted by rain a few laps into the feature event and his second outing with the team the next day at Path Valley Speedway was washed out by rain following time trials.

Add to that a field of some of the best teams in the country who had come to town to chase the top prize of $10,000 on Saturday night and $29,000 on Sunday night at Port Royal Speedway.

All that considered, the weekend was likely to be a challenging one, but you have to race to improve.

Weikert Memorial Format

Although the lucrative event is sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions, the Weikert Memorial uses its own, unique format.  Full details are included below, but here are the key points for the car counts at Port Royal Speedway’s event:

  • single flight time trials, order determined by pill draw
  • points awarded following time trials
  • 10-lap heats, top 8 in each starting lineup is inverted 8 from time trials
  • passing points awarded following heats
  • top 10 in points after qualifying participate in a redraw for their A-main starting spot
  • 11-20 in points after qualifying line up in A-main heads up by points
  • remaining drivers race the B-main with the top 4 finishers tagging the back of 30-lap A-main

May 28:  Weikert Memorial Night 1, Port Royal Speedway / Port Royal, PA

      (41 cars, Qualifying 29th, Heat 11th, B-main 17th)

During Saturday’s qualifying, Zach Newlin wheeled the Grove Financial & Associates / Dillman Hauling / Centre Roofing & Contracting / Mattas Motorsports / Victory Auto / Ron’s RV Sales / The Roast Post / FIT Transportation / Kirby Kitner Excavating / Christine Booher, Realtor / T&M Homebuilders / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / Newlin Bar Service, BK Motorsports No.77 around the fairgrounds half-mile oval in 17.069 seconds, good enough for 29th of the 41 cars to go under the clock.

The inversion put the BK Motorsports entry on the pole for heat number one.  The initial start was called back when Newlin hit the gas, but his front row mate did not.  Newlin was sent back one row per All Star rules.

In the end, that was the least of Newlin’s problems.  When the race finally went green, he immediately experienced a left rear vibration.  The shaking of the left rear tire was visible from the stands.  Newlin navigated his way out of the racing groove and pulled off the racing surface.  The team later determined the wheel was bent, causing the unbalanced rotation.

Having been credited with an 11th place finish in the heat race, Newlin’s point total suffered and landed him in the 18th starting spot in the 12-lap B-main, from which only the top four finishers would advance to the A-main.  The Millerstown, PA driver took advantage of the seat time, ultimately finishing his night in 17th.

May 29:  Weikert Memorial Night 2, Port Royal Speedway / Port Royal, PA

      (44 cars, Qualifying 29th, Heat 10th, B-main 19th)

On night number two of the Bob Weikert Memorial event, 44 teams were pit-side.  Once again Zach Newlin registered the 29th quickest lap in the field, and once again he had the pole for heat number one.

Newlin led the first lap of the heat race and held his own in the early going but faded during the latter half and crossed the line in 10th.

Starting deep in the B-main again, this time 16th, the 12-lap event would serve as valuable seat time.  Newlin was doing just that, making laps until lap nine.  He had a run off turn two and was looking to clear the two cars just in front of him.  As Newlin moved to the low line and was almost past the pair, contact with another car sent Newlin’s No.77 into a nasty series of end-over-end tumbles, throwing off a shower of sparks as the metal impacted the inside concrete barrier.  Thankfully, Newlin crawled from the wreckage under his own power.

We are just trying to figure this car out and get some laps.  I just came back from a concussion from another wreck here (in March).  I thought I had him cleared.  Now we have a junk race car.  It sucks.  We were supposed to start the makeup feature later tonight.“, a disappointed and frustrated Newlin said in an on-track interview on FloRacing while crews worked to clean up the scene.

Up Next

Plans are for Newlin and the BK Motorsports team to return to Port Royal Speedway this Saturday, June 4th.  They are working hard to get a another car ready in time.

Zach’s next 358 sprint car race in the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m is slated for Friday, June 10th at Williams Grove Speedway.

Zach Newlin Debuts with New BK Motorsports 410 Sprint Car Team at Port Royal

Weekend Also Included Successful Return to Mansberger Motorsports’ 358 Team

Port Royal, PA – May 25, 2022

It was a long wait.  60 days to be exact since Zach Newlin’s well-documented 410 sprint car crash at Port Royal Speedway that sidelined him, but let’s not dwell on the past.

Zach Daddy has returned, and all is well.

I felt great.  It was good to get behind the wheel again.“, Newlin said after climbing out of his 358 sprint car after his 20-lap feature Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway.  “I’ve been feeling good doing day-to-day stuff, but I was ready to get back in the car and make sure I was race-ready.

May 20:  Williams Grove Speedway / Mechanicsburg, PA

      (Mansberger Motorsports 358:  27 cars, Heat 5th, A-main 7th)

After a few cancellations over the prior months due to weather, Friday finally brought the first race of the season for the 358 sprint cars at Williams Grove and 27 teams signed in to compete.

Lineups for the 8-lap heats were set by pill draw.  Six cars would transfer from each, with the top four finishers going to a redraw.  Zach Newlin lined up outside row two for the first heat.  He held 4th through the first half of the race but lost the spot and finished 5th, just outside of the redraw.

Newlin started 13th in the 20-lap A-main and immediately showed the team had made the correct adjustments after the qualifying race.  He steadily moved forward, working his way into the top ten.

Long runs seemed to be Newlin’s friend. During one lengthy green flag period, Newlin made significant moves forward, rolling the bottom of turns one and two very effectively to make up ground.  A caution seemed to kill his momentum.

When the race returned to green, it took it a few laps for Newlin to challenge the cars in front of him.  In the end, he crossed the line in 7th and closed out a nice return performance.

The team later discovered a very slow leak in the left rear tire, which explained the improvement on the long runs.  The tire was losing pressure under caution but during long green flag runs, heat would cause the pressure to build up again, bringing the handling of the car back to where it was best.

I think we had a top-5 car if we hadn’t had the leak in the left rear.  That’s racing.  It was still a good first night back.“, Newlin commented.

May 21:  Port Royal Speedway / Port Royal, PA

      (BK Motorsports 410:  34 cars, Qualifying 6th Group B, Heat 6th, B-main 3rd)

On May 21st, Zach Newlin not only returned to 410 sprint car racing, he debuted his new ride, the Grove Financial & Associates / Dillman Hauling / Centre Roofing & Contracting / Mattas Motorsports / Victory Auto / Ron’s RV Sales / The Roast Post / Kirby Kitner Excavating / Christine Booher, Realtor / T&M Homebuilders / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / Newlin Bar Service, BK Motorsports No.77.

BK Motorsports is a new entry in Central PA sprint car racing.  The team’s owner, Brett Knable, has been involved in the sport for many years in several different capacities, but team ownership is a new frontier.

Newlin’s sharp looking black, white and orange X1 race car was among 34 cars that entered competition at ‘The Speed Palace’ Saturday night.  With only 24 spots open for the night’s main event, the new combination would have to earn their way in against a quality field.

The event format divided the field into four groups for timed hot laps and heat races.  The groups were established by pill draw, then teams would remain within their own groups for the duration of qualifying events.  The four fastest cars in each group would be inverted to set the first two rows of each heat race lineup.  Each of the 8-lap heat races would transfer the top five finishers directly to the A-main, with the top two finishers entering the handicap procedure.

Newlin timed 6th quick in Group B, placing him 6th in the lineup for heat race number two.  Newlin was unable to advance into a transfer position, which relegated him to the B-main to try to make the field for the night’s finale.

Newlin started on the front row of the 12-lap B-main and held the 2nd position firmly for most of the event.  On one restart, he pulled alongside leader Kassidy Kreitz, but was unable to take over the lead.  On the final restart with one lap remaining, Ryan Smith found some extra speed and stole 2nd away from Newlin.  The Millerstown, PA native rode home in 3rd, putting himself and his new team in the show in their inaugural race.

Zach took the green for the 25-lap A-main from the 23rd position.  In the early laps in that situation, patience is important.  That’s especially true for a new team who needs laps to learn what they have.  Newlin took what came to him, picking up a few spots in the early going.

Two red flags for incidents paused the action over the course of the first half-dozen laps.  The race briefly went back to green, but rain arrived and interrupted the action.  The weather moved in to stay, causing the race to be suspended with 8 laps complete and 17 remaining.  Newlin was running 17th at the time and that is where he will restart when the race is resumed and completed.

I have to thank Brett for the opportunity to run his car.  He has good stuff and I think we can build something really good here.  It was a decent night for our first time out.  The first night out you’re kind of working blind.  You have no notes to go on for that particular car, so you use what you know and hopefully get it close.  I feel like we did that, so now we know what we have, and we can adjust from here.”, Newlin shared.

Up Next

Zach and the BK Motorsports team will race the two-day Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway, competing with the All Star Circuit of Champions.  The lucrative weekend in honor of the legendary car owner and his famous No.29 pays $10,000 to the winner on Saturday and a whopping $29,000 to the victor in Sunday’s finale.

Following Sunday’s Weikert Memorial main event, Port Royal Speedway will resume the suspended 410 sprint car feature to complete the remaining 17 laps of the May 21st event.

BREAKING NEWS: Zach Newlin’s 410 Sprint Car Return Set for Saturday 5/21 at Port Royal

Sunday Trip to Path Valley Speedway Also Planned This Weekend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Millerstown, PA – May 20, 2022

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

Zach Daddy is back.

It has been 61 days since Zach Newlin took a nasty ride at Port Royal Speedway that put him on the sidelines with head and neck injuries.  Since that day, appointments, effort and patience have all been vital elements to his return.

Friday night, May 20th, he strapped back in for the first time since that crash.  He was aboard the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car at Williams Grove Speedway.  While Newlin has been feeling great on a day to day basis, the goal Friday was to evaluate how he felt in the car, at speed.

All went well.  After a 5th place finish in his heat race, Newlin drove from 13th to 7th in the 20-lap A-main.  Given his time away and the fact is was the first race of the year for the No.21m, that’s a solid night for sure.  The best news though was that Newlin felt 100% normal physically.

During his time away, Newlin parted ways with the Pryde Motorsports No.29 and began working on new opportunities.  With Friday’s ‘test’ behind him, it is now time to begin the next chapter.

Zach Newlin will return to 410 sprint car action aboard the BK Motorsports No.k77.  The new team will make their debut at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night, May 21st.  Plans are to also compete at Path Valley Speedway on Sunday, May 22nd.

Newlin is appreciative of the support and concern he has received over the past two months from fans, friends, family and the racing community as a whole.

He is also appreciative of his long time partners who have stuck with him through all the changes the sport brings.  The Grove Financial & Associates / Dillman Hauling / Ron’s RV Sales / Kirby Kitner Excavating / Christine Booher, Realtor / T&M Homebuilders / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / Newlin Bar Service, BK Motorsports No.k77 is ready to roll and Zach Daddy is ready to strap in and get back to work.

Newlin’s Recovery Progressing; Return Will Bring Changes

Millerstown, PA – April 28, 2022

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

Feature Photo Credit:  Samantha Newlin

It has been nearly six weeks since the crash that sidelined Zach Newlin from the seat of a sprint car.  After a few weeks of progress that netted small steps forward, he has recently taken bigger strides in his recovery.

Despite not being behind the wheel himself, Newlin hasn’t strayed far from the dirt during his break.  He’s been serving as car owner and crew chief for his son Caleb, who is in his second season racing caged karts.  He picked up a win in his first season last year and is looking to add to his trophy collection.

Recovery Update

Although Zach’s physical therapy for balance issues and concussion-like symptoms was helping to a degree, he made the decision to consult a chiropractor about noticeable differences in his neck since the accident.  After an extensive evaluation, Newlin received treated for alignment issues in his neck.  Within hours he knew they were onto something.

I noticed a difference after my first adjustment.  Rapid head movement didn’t affect me quite as much as it had before”, Newlin shared.  He is now receiving both types of treatment and therapy, trying to “get everything firing together“.

I probably need a couple more weeks before I come back.  It would be nice to come back on May 6th at Williams Grove in Dan’s (Mansberger) 358 but we’ll see“, Newlin said.

Seat Change

In other news, Newlin has decided to step away from the Pryde Motorsports 29.

Zach Daddy fans shouldn’t worry though!  Plans are already in the works for Zach to return to 410 sprint car action at Port Royal Speedway in the near future.

Newlin expects to be able to make an official announcement soon. Follow Zach at any of the outlets listed below to keep up to date.

Update on Zach Newlin’s Recovery

Millerstown, PA – April 3, 2022

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

 )

It has been two weeks since Zach Newlin’s hard crash at Port Royal Speedway.  Since the accident, Newlin has been attending physical therapy to work on his balance issues and other symptoms related to his original vertigo diagnosis.

Newlin is improving but his therapy has evolved to better treat his symptoms.  His case is now being handled as a mild-concussion.  Newlin will be reevaluated in about a week.

I don’t have any headaches or nausea, so that means it’s mild, which is good news “, Newlin shared.

He doesn’t know yet exactly when he will return to the seat of a sprint car, but it will likely be a week or two longer than originally hoped.  His original goal of returning to pilot the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car at Williams Grove Speedway on April 8th is unlikely at this point.  It will likely be mid or late April before Newlin is ready to return to that seat or the Pryde Motorsports No.29 410 sprint car.

I’d like to thank everyone who has reached out to check on me.  I appreciate all the get well wishes.  There is a lot of racing to go this year, so I’m not going to push it to come back before I’m ready “, Newlin commented.

Zach Newlin Recovering from Hard Hit at Port Royal

Injury Will Sideline Wheelman for a Few Weeks

Port Royal, PA – March 23, 2022

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

Feature Photo Credit:  Michael Goss

 )

As Sunday afternoon’s event unfolded at Port Royal Speedway, Zach Newlin was writing a pretty good story.  He was having a solid outing.  As the sun began to set, the only remaining question was how the final chapter would read.

Spoiler alert:  It wasn’t a happy ending.  Newlin will be out of action for a few weeks while he heals.

March 20:  Port Royal Speedway / Port Royal,  PA

     (25 cars, Qualifying 3rd in group 1, Heat 4th, A-main 24th)

Newlin started 10th in Sunday’s A-main in the Grove Financial & Associates /

Dillman Hauling / Del Grosso Foods / Ron’s RV Sales / Kirby Kitner Excavating / FIT Transportation / Christine Booher, Realtor / Gio’s BBQ / T&M Homebuilders / Robert Lee Jr. Trucking / R&B Auto Proz / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / RAM Acoustics / Newlin Bar Service, Pryde Motorsports No.29.

As the field entered turn one on the start of the event, a car near the front of the field spun up the banking, across the track in front of the charging field.  Momentum carried the car all the way to the cushion, directly in the path of Newlin who was flying around the top of turn one.

Zach had no time to take evasive action and made hard impact with the stationary car, sending the Pryde Motorsports No.29 of Newlin flipping hard across the track toward turn two.  The initial high-speed impact was certainly significant, but the secondary impact was even harder.  Despite efforts to steer clear, another

passing car struck Newlin’s car while it was upside down.  Newlin’s car came to rest upside down in turn two, putting the Millerstown, PA native in a precarious position.

When everything stopped, I knew I was completely upside down.  I was awake and aware throughout the crash and afterwards.  I started talking to the rescue personnel right away because I wanted to get out quickly.  I’m sure I freaked out a little bit and got in a hurry because of a past experience“, Newlin shared.

Newlin was able to extricate himself from the destroyed race car.  He was immediately escorted to an ambulance for evaluation.

I guess a lot of the fans thought I was limping as I moved away from the car, but it wasn’t my leg, it was my unsteady balance that caused it.  I had to lean on the EMT’s to walk to the ambulance, then I sat and collected myself for a few minutes while they checked me over“, Newlin explained.  Eventually Zach was permitted to return to his pit area to pack up and head home.

The following morning, Newlin was experiencing some mild symptoms that were not present the night before.  Tests cleared Zach of a concussion but found the crash had caused him to develop vertigo.  As a result of the diagnosis, Newlin will need to sit out a few weeks to heal.

This week they are having me start some therapy to help speed up the recovery.  My shoulders and arm are bruised, but everything did its job.  The car held up good, the safety belts did their job, and my Hybrid (head and neck) restraint did what it was supposed to“,  Newlin said.

Zach’s goal is to be ready to strap back in on Friday, April 8th aboard the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m at Williams Grove Speedway.  Time will tell.

One aspect of a hard crash that many fans don’t often think about is the toll it takes on the driver’s safety equipment.  While he heals, Newlin also must go over all of his.  His five-point harness safety belt system will need to be replaced because belts become stretched during an impact such as Zach’s.  He will also have his helmet and Hybrid head and neck restraint system (a variation of a HANS device) evaluated to ensure neither has been not compromised.

If you are not familiar with head and neck restraints, the purpose of a HANS or Hybrid device is to keep the head from whipping in a crash, preventing excessive rotational movement as a secondary protection, without otherwise restricting movement of the neck.  In other words, it restricts head movements during a crash that would exceed normal range and cause severe injury.  A person’s body is decelerated by the seat belt, with the head maintaining velocity until it is decelerated by the neck.  A head and neck restraint device maintains the relative position of the head to the body, in addition to transferring energy to the much stronger chest, torso, shoulder, seat belts and seat as the head is decelerated.

While Newlin heals, Pryde Motorsports will button up their backup car and work to replace the lost equipment, so they are ready to return to the track when their driver is.

Newlin Shows Speed Early at 80th Speed Palace Season Opener

Pryde Motorsports Entry Competitive from the Start

Thus far, in his brief career in the top division of winged sprint car competition, Zach Newlin has shown one thing is for sure.

He belongs in the seat of a 410 sprint car.

Sure, there will be moments his inexperience shows.  That’s how one learns.  Newlin has already had his moments though.  With a full-time season slated this year, 2022 will likely be full of learning moments, but there will certainly be more notable achievements too.

March 6th:  2022 Season Opener / Port Royal Speedway / Port Royal, PA

     (42 cars, Heat 2nd, A-main 14th)

The 2022 season kicked off for Zach Newlin and the Pryde Motorsports team at Port Royal Speedway’s 80th season opener.  They were one of 42 highly capable entries signed in for action on the early March day in Central PA that greeted racers and fans with temperatures in the low 70’s.  It didn’t just look like race season, it felt like race season.

As is common for early season shows, the heat lineups were set by a random pill draw.  The five heats would each be eight laps in distance with the top four finishers transferring to the A-main, but only the top two being awarded with a spot in the redraw.

Newlin’s day started with a bit of luck when he drew a low pill, which put him on the pole of the third heat.  The initial start was called back after Zach’s front row mate got a little anxious with his right foot.  The second attempt was much better, but Newlin had to fall into second and go after the leader, Michael Walter II.  His laps times improved steadily throughout the first half of the race, which allowed him to close the gap on Walter.  Newlin came home 2nd, just 0.77 seconds behind.  Cannon, Wolfe, Flick and Rahmer finished 3rd-6th.

It was an encouraging first 8 laps of the season.  The Grove Financial & Associates / Dillman Hauling / Del Grosso Foods / Ron’s RV Sales / Kirby Kitner Excavating / FIT Transportation / Christine Booher, Realtor / Gio’s BBQ / T&M Homebuilders / Robert Lee Jr. Trucking / R&B Auto Proz / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / RAM Acoustics / Newlin Bar Service, Pryde Motorsports No.29 was competitive and had the speed necessary to run up front.

Once again, the pill draw was Newlin’s friend.  During the redraw, he pulled the #4, which put him outside row two for the first 25-lap A-main of the season.  Newlin hung tough in the top five over the course of the first half-dozen laps, but then slipped back  a few spots over the next few laps.  The Millerstown, PA native settled into the back half of the top 10 and held his ground there.

The red flag flew for a flip in turn one with 12 laps complete and brought the field to a stop.  On the ensuing restart, Newlin lost one spot.  By the time 15 laps were in the books, it was apparent the car wasn’t quite as good as it was before the stoppage.   Newlin lost a couple more spots and was nipped at the finish line, ending his day 14th.

It may not have been the finish the Pryde Motorsports team and crew chief Lance Newlin thought they were capable of, but 42 top-notch teams had shown up on this day, and while many went home without making the show, the No.29 team with Newlin at the wheel was able to run up front most of the day.

We were fine until that red.  We had some cleaner air to run in before that, but then in traffic on the restart the car just wasn’t as good.  Dirty air affects these things a lot.  We were just too tight in traffic.  I think we were a top-10 car if the race had stayed green, but that’s part of racing.   Nothing to do but keep working on it and get better.  I can’t complain.  Overall, we had a really good day.  We made the show, and we were competitive, so I’ll take it for sure“, Newlin shared after the race.

Zach had the right perspective.  It was a great showing for the entire team.  The top 10’s and top 5’s are not far away.

Up Next

Zach and the team will return to Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, March 12th.  Racing starts at 4pm.

Zach Newlin Set to Embark on First Full Time 410 Sprint Season

Busy 2022 Will Also Include Several 358 Sprint Races

Millerstown, PA – March 2, 2022

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Management

 )

During both the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Zach Newlin was fortunate to have the chance to dabble in winged 410 sprint car competition in Central Pennsylvania.  It was enough to show his potential, and it was enough to land a full time opportunity for 2022.

When the season opens at Port Royal Speedway this month, Newlin will once again be behind the wheel of the Pryde Motorsports No.29, fielded by long-time owner Allen Pryde.  It’s the same seat he finished last season in, but now the team has the benefit of having worked together and an offseason to prepare.

Newlin will have good equipment, a knowledgeable car owner, and his long time crew chief (and brother), Lance Newlin by his side.  Still, he is realistic when preparing for his first full season in the tough 410 sprint car division in the heart of PA Posse-land.

Sure, it would be great to pick up a win.  I think it could happen if things go right for us, but a good goal for us is to run in the top 10 consistently.  If we aim for that and achieve it, then we will be in position to grab some top 5’s or podium runs when the opportunity is there.  You can’t expect too much, but you have to challenge yourself“, Newlin said.

He’s not just saying the right things.  He speaks from experience.  He’s been there before on other levels.  He may still be ‘green’ when it comes to 410 racing, but Newlin has been racing and climbing through the ranks over the past 20+ years and has achieved his share of success in each of them.

There is no reason to believe this new adventure won’t have a similar outcome.  This wheelman and his team are likely to garner some attention and turn some heads this season and beyond.

The majority of the Pryde Motorsports 2022 schedule will bring the Grove Financial & Associates / Dillman Hauling / Del Grosso Foods / Ron’s RV Sales / Kirby Kitner Excavating / FIT Transportation / Christine Booher, Realtor / Gio’s BBQ / T&M Homebuilders / Robert Lee Jr. Trucking / R&B Auto Proz / Strange Oval / Walker Performance Filtration / RAM Acoustics / Newlin Bar Service No.29 to the ‘Speed Palace’ in Port Royal, PA, but you can expect to see them at BAPS Motor Speedway as well.  Other events could be added as the season progresses, so be sure to follow along to keep up to date.

In addition to a substantial schedule of possibly 30-35 races in the 410 sprint car, Newlin will also be returning to the seat of the Mansberger Motorsports No.21m 358 sprint car, which primarily competes at Williams Grove Speedway.

I love racing with Dan (Mansberger) and his team.  He’s got good equipment and my brother (Lance) and I have a good time racing with them.   We were a contender last year and had a couple good runs early, but gremlins kept surfacing and taking us out of races”, Newlin commented.

“I probably won’t get to race the Grove with the 410 this year, so this gives me a chance to race there.  I love the challenge of Williams Grove.  If you win there, you’ve earned it.   Plus, seat time is seat time.  You can never get enough laps and experience“, the Millerstown, PA native shared.

‘Zach Daddy’ fans should be sure to like and follow his new Facebook page, Zach Newlin Racing (Facebook.com/ZachNewlinRacing).  With his son, Caleb, entering his second year of karting and beginning to develop his own following, Zach has established this new Facebook page for his racing endeavors, leaving the Newlin Racing page for fans to keep up with Caleb’s racing adventures.  You can also follow @ZachDaddyRacing on Twitter for updates, plus A2DPR.com will have all the stories and results to keep you up to date on Zach’s season at the wheel of both cars.

UP NEXT

If the weather cooperates, Zach Newlin’s 2022 debut will happen Sunday, March 6th at Port Royal Speedway.  Stay tuned to social media for updates.

As for Newlin’s 358 sprint car season, that is slated to kick off Friday, April 8th at Williams Grove Speedway.

Zach Newlin’s 2021 season didn’t start well.  Actually, that’s probably an understatement.

It may have been tougher mentally than anything.

As the saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens.

The lesson?  Never stop clawing your way out of the trenches.  Rise above.

That’s Zach Daddy’s 2021 story.  Take a look.
