Meade Hahn and his team were excited to get into June because the race schedule started to pick up. The 7 car would race as many times in the month of June as it had all season so far. Coming off a month of May that showed the team had some solid speed, posting a top 10 finish in their last race out.

Kicking off June, the team would head to Selinsgrove. “The night started with what we thought was going to be a good omen. Drawing a 7 at the pill draw, which started us on the pole of the first heat. We took the early lead but couldn’t keep it there and fell back to 5th till the end of it.” Hahn felt the car had speed, but also felt that he needed to find a faster line.

“In the feature, we started 13th, and we were going forward and made it up to the 11th position, when a caution came out. Some confusion with timing and scoring put a car back in front of us that we had already passed, and it had significant damage to its spoiler. On the restart, I got trapped behind him going into turn one and lost a bunch of spots.” This would back the 7 car up to 14th when all was said and done. A little bit of a disappointment, given the top 10 speed they had. 

Selinsgrove Speedway would again be the destination of the week for the team on June 12th. The night started off with Meade running 7th in his heat race.

“I made a mistake trying to pass the 5th-place car and ended up running 7th. Just can’t get the car to turn into the corner in the heat like I need it to.” Even with this, Hahn would still make the feature and start 20th. “We gambled on tires and figured we had nothing to lose. The car was great in the feature, and I was able to drive it up to 11th. Getting us the hard charger for the night in our division.”

This was a highlight of the season so far, as this hard charger was also the most forward progress the 7 has made in a feature.

“Since we made it through Friday with no damage, we decided to try our luck at Port Royal on Saturday night.” This was only the second appearance by the team at The Speed Palace in 2026. Meade had run well the last time there and was looking to repeat that performance. After his wife Rachel pulled the pill that would land him on the pole of a heat, Meade “drove away with the heat race win.” Meade would then be inverted to the 6th starting spot in the feature. 

“We took off okay, but I didn’t make any adjustments to the car, and I knew by turn 4 we were going to be too loose and have to fight hard to keep it up front.” 

As Hahn tried to keep the car under control, he lost a few spots and fell back to 8th. “I got a little too high coming off of turn 4 and hit the outside wall. Once I got into it, I couldn’t get off it in time, and it bent the right-front wheel and ripped a hole in the rim, which made the tire go flat, ending our night.” Another disappointment, but “we had good speed, which we are happy about.” 

The final race the team would participate in for June would be back at the Selinsgrove Speedway. “The night started off with a good pill draw, starting us on the front row of the second heat. Tried too hard at the start of the heat and spun myself out trying to stay in the top six to make the feature and not run a consi. The spin caused a little nose damage, and I should have just stopped it.” Hahn would press on in the heat but run into trouble, getting into another car while trying to make a pass.

“I tried not to wreck him and instead wrecked myself and tore the car up worse than what we could fix at the track. I feel bad for my guys, my wife, and myself. It has been a little string of bad decisions on my part, and I need to do better and get it going in the right direction again.” Even with the poor ending to the night, Hahn is still focused on making the car better. 

The 7-car has been really fast in the feature. The track and car come to us later in the night. We just got to get the heat races figured out so we can start up front when we have that good of a car.” Meade has been fighting a tight car in the heats, and it has cost him at times, not being able to get the car rotated. “The changes we made helped, but still haven’t fixed the problem I feel in the middle of the corner.” The team plans to get back in the shop and get things fixed up and ready for the month of July. 

While the team won’t race a whole lot in the month of July, they do hope to have a stronger package throughout the night and better results. They will have a two-race weekend on July 10th & 11th. The 10th will be at Selinsgrove Speedway, and the 11th will be at the Port Royal Speedway. Make sure to stay up to date on weekly plans on the team’s Facebook page. As the month of April clicked off, Millerstown’s Meade Hahn and his race team got to start off their race season. With off-season preparation complete, Meade and the 7 team would begin another season competing in the Limited Late Model division.

The first race would take place at the Port Royal Speedway on April 18th. As part of an expedited program to try and beat Mother Nature, Hahn and crew tested out their equipment and showed some good speed throughout the night. A solid 3rd-2nd run in the heat, locked the 7 car into the invert. Meade would roll off from the pole in the feature. On a very slick surface, Hahn would get shuffled back on the initial start.

“We did not get a good start on the race because we spun the tires out and fell back to 6th, where we finished.” Even though falling back at the jump wasn’t the ideal situation, the 6th place finish was a personal best at The Speed Palace and a positive to take away from the team’s first start of the season.

For the only other start of the month, the team went to Selinsgrove Speedway on the 24th. The night started off with decent speed in hot laps, and Meade would start 3rd in his heat race. Dropping into 4th at the start of the heat, trouble found the 7 car, as contact with a car trying to pass caused damage and sent the car into the wall. This ended the team’s heat and their night. 

“We were unable to make the feature because we couldn’t fix the damage at the track,” said Meade. A disappointing end to the second race of the season, but a reality of racing.

The team got back in the shop, repaired the damage, and is getting things ready for racing action to pick up. Hahn, just like many other drivers, “is constantly prepping tires for each track, checking the car over, and making sure all the fixes are solid and secure to race again.” Meade is also always working on the car to find any little speed advantage he can.

“We continue to correspond with our shock and chassis supports to find more speed and make necessary changes for each track and its conditions,” says Hahn. This is something that is critical to being able to make speed and grip, but as detailed by the driver of the 7, “it is the most challenging part of prepping for a race.” Even though the team hasn’t been able to race a whole lot in 2026, they are still confident in their program and the setup they show up to the track with.

As the calendar flips to May, the team will go to several races and try their luck again. May 8th will see the team travel to Selinsgrove Speedway to compete. The following week, the team will return to the Snyder County half mile, as the Limited Late Models join the World of Outlaws Late Models for the Sand Hill Showdown on the 14th.

On Memorial Day weekend, the team will travel over to Port Royal Speedway as the Limited Late Models join the Bob Weikert weekend on the 23rd. And to round out the month, the team will again head back over to the Selinsgrove Speedway on the 30th. 

“We are looking forward to getting back to Port and Selinsgrove and continuing a good start to the season at Port Royal and looking to make a decent comeback at Selinsgrove.” Make sure to come out to the track and cheer on the 7 car, and additionally, fans can watch the 14th and 23rd live on DIRTVision and FloRacing, respectively.
