Ashley Cappetta Racing (ACR) is excited to announce that the Gettysburg Trading Post will continue as the team’s main sponsor for the 2025 racing season. This marks the 14th season of partnership between ACR and the Gettysburg Trading Post, a collaboration that began in 2012, during Ashley’s debut racing season.

The Gettysburg Trading Post became ACR’s primary sponsor in 2021, a role that includes exclusive branding on the team’s trailer, car, and Ashley’s racing suit, as well as priority involvement in community events. “Having someone who stands by me through the highs and the lows means a lot,” Cappetta shared. “We’ve had some rough seasons, and it’s really special to have Shawn and the Trading Post there for the journey. I’m not sure I’d be where I am without their support.”

The partnership has been mutually rewarding, with both the Gettysburg Trading Post and ACR experiencing growth over the years. “I’m forever grateful for Shawn’s support,” Cappetta added. “Their sponsorship has grown alongside their business, which has expanded to a larger facility. It’s inspiring to watch them build something so strong.”

Reinhardt Continues Late-Season Surge With Top-Ten, Solid World Finals With World of Outlaws

Concord, NC – November 12, 2024

The home stretch of the 2024 season has been a productive one for Kyle Reinhardt.  He has compiled a list of finishes that include a top-ten with the World of Outlaws at Lincoln Speedway, a runner-up finish in Bridgeport’s Dirty Jersey event, and other podium and top-five efforts on the tough Central Pennsylvania circuit.

To demonstrate the progress he and his team have made, consider this stat.  Reinhardt finished in the top ten in just thirty percent of his first twenty-seven races of the season but has finished in the top ten in forty-one percent of his last seventeen races.

With that momentum on his side, he headed to North Carolina to compete with the World of Outlaws at their season-ending, four-day World Finals event.

MAINTAINING THE MOJO

Wednesday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte was qualifying night for Reinhardt and the Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 team.  Two rounds of time trials would set the stage for their Thursday and Friday night preliminary programs.  Kyle turned in the 12th quickest and 7th quickest laps respectively for those nights, both in Group B qualifying.

Reinhardt lined up 6th in his Thursday night heat race, needing to make the top five to transfer directly to the night’s main event, but he missed that transfer by one spot.  He needed a run from 6th in the B-main into a top-four finishing position to find his way in, but it didn’t happen.

An 8th-place finish in Thursday’s B-main brought an end to his night.  On the bright side, a lot was learned that would pay dividends the remainder of the week.

Reinhardt kicked off Friday night in a better position, turning a 4th starting spot into a 3rd place heat race finish, locking himself into the A-main.

In Friday’s 25-lap A-main, the Neptune City, NJ native started moving forward from his 10th starting spot and was running as high as 7th on lap sixteen.  Reinhardt lost a couple of spots during some tight battles in the closing laps but still managed a very solid 10th-place run.

Following Friday’s program, points earned over the first three nights were tallied.  The result was a 5th starting spot in neat number two for Reinhardt.  He held 5th, the final transfer spot, for the first few laps but eventually, Donny Schatz wrestled it away, relegating the No.91 to the B-main for his final shot to make Saturday’s finale.

Reinhardt started outside the front row in the 12-lap B-main and brought home a 3rd-place finish to make the show.  He went on to turn in a 19th-place finish in the final World of Outlaws A-main of the season.

“I’m pretty pleased with our World Finals showing, especially with an Outlaw top ten!”, a happy Reinhard commented.

“I think Thursday we just didn’t make the right decisions to the car with so few laps but we got it better for the rest of the weekend, so it was a solid week for sure.”

UP NEXT

Reinhardt’s final race of 2024 will be this Saturday, November 16th, at BAPS Motor Speedway’s Sprint Showdown.

Kody Hartlaub Endures First Year Grind, Earns Two 410 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Honors

East Berlin, PA – November 8 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

For Kody Hartlaub, the transition from racing 358 sprint cars to competing in the 410 sprint car division has been a whirlwind of learning, growth, and resilience. Ending his rookie season on a high note, Hartlaub has been recognized for his commendable efforts, securing the Rookie of the Year honors at both Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania.

The Littlestown, PA native kicked off the year by running a dozen races in the Ninety-Five Motorsports No.95, a team that is a collaborative effort by Pat Brewer and himself.  In those twelve races, he scored eight top-fifteen finishes, including one top-ten.  Very respectable stats for a rookie on the tough Central Pennsylvania circuit. In fact, they were good enough to draw the attention of the Trone Outdoor team, who contacted him about wheeling their well-known No.39.

Hartlaub moved to the Trone Outdoor Motorsports seat at the end of May and things started promisingly for the new combination, marked by a strong chemistry and a culture of collaboration. In their first 17 races together, the team achieved ten top-ten finishes, boasting an average finish of 10.5. However, the journey was not without its challenges. In the latter part of the season, they faced setbacks with only three top-ten finishes out of the last 24 races, averaging a 15.3 finish. Hartlaub, despite these hurdles, managed to finish 13th in the point standings at Williams Grove Speedway and 10th at Lincoln Speedway.

“I wouldn’t have been able to do what I did with my own team or make the move to John’s (Trone) team without the support of my partners who have supported me from the start.   A huge thank you to Brewer Home Improvements, J Fuels, MooseBlocks.com, Bigham Appraisal, Griffith Plumbing Services, and T & N Solutions, plus many others who have backed us.  And of course, I can’t forget Trone Outdoor.”, Hartlaub said.

Reflecting on the season, Hartlaub revealed, “The plan for the whole year was to learn. During the second half, we struggled with motor issues and couldn’t find a balance, but every race has been a lesson.” His initial goal was to achieve a win, which he came close to early in the season, leading 24 laps one night at Lincoln. Despite not clinching a victory, Hartlaub views the experience as part of his learning curve.

The competition transition from 358s to 410s presented significant challenges. The competition in the 410 division is so tight, that every minor detail matters.  Every detail can become an advantage if you’re paying attention, or a disadvantage if you aren’t.

Hartlaub admitted that the second half of the season was particularly demanding, but the team stayed resilient, maintaining open communication even when performance dipped.

During the second half, we were plagued with some mechanical issues and found it tough to find a repetitive balance.  Despite the struggles, the team never gave up. We all pointed out areas for improvement, both individually and collectively,” he shared.

Mentally, the season tested Hartlaub’s resolve. He admitted to moments when the pressure mounted, particularly towards the end of the season, but stayed steadfast in his commitment to learning. His confidence took a hit towards the end, but he stands firm knowing that having a full season under his belt prepares him better for 2025.

With the experience of a full season behind him, Hartlaub is optimistic about his prospects for next season.  A pivotal element in Hartlaub’s development was the steadfast support from his team and the strong relationships he cultivated within the racing community.

“Understanding what to expect makes a world of difference. Being 100% focused throughout every race night, with attention to every detail, are lessons I will carry forward,” he emphasized.

Balancing a demanding racing schedule, family commitments, and a day job, Hartlaub has been supported by a dedicated team and an understanding family. Hartlaub competed in 53 races this year, more than double his previous track time, and he attributes his ability to juggle the demands to the team’s disciplined schedule.

“We had dedicated shop nights to work on our equipment and talk about things, plus we planned ahead for what nights we were going to race.  That helped me keep my family life and work life in a good place, which kept my head clear and allowed me to focus when I was in the car.”, Hartlaub shared.

Hartlaub says he is motivated by the desire to prove his capabilities at this level of the sport.  His rookie season in the 410 sprint car division has set a strong foundation toward that goal.

“I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish with my own team what we did together with the Trone Outdoor team.  I’d like to thank John Trone, Kevin Frey, and the rest of the Trone outdoor team for this year, along with my own guys:  my dad, mom, Pat Brewer, Justin Reese, Austin Funk, my family, and my wife. “, Hartlaub said.

Looking forward, Hartlaub is eager to incorporate the lessons from his rookie season into his sophomore campaign. With a realistic understanding of the demands of the 410 series, he aims to sharpen his skills.

“The experiences and challenges we’ve navigated this year have prepared me pretty well. I’m determined to enter next season more prepared, focused, and confident,” Hartlaub asserts, ready to take on his second full-time season in 2025.

Kyle Reinhardt Scores Runner Up Finish in Dirty Jersey Finale

Swedesboro, NJ – November 5, 2024

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt made the tow from his race shop in the heart of Pennsylvania Posse territory to his home state of New Jersey Saturday, aiming to get back to victory lane in front of a lot of family and friends.

He closed out Bridgeport Motorsports Park’s 2023 season with a $15,000 victory and he was looking for a repeat performance.  He was certainly one of the favorites.  His stats over the past couple of seasons at the four-tenths mile, high-banked oval proved that.

QUICK RESULTS

  • Stats:  33 cars, Qualifying 3rd, Heat 4th (6), Dash 3rd (3), A-main 2nd (3)

SO GOOD, SO CLOSE

The Dirty Jersey weekend kicked off with two qualifying sessions on Friday night, rewarding the fast qualifier in each session with a guaranteed starting spot no worse than 8th in Saturday’s finale.

Reinhardt clocked in 3rd quickest in the first session and then went to the top of the speed chart in the second session to claim one of the locked-in spots for his Capitol Custom Coaches & Trailers, Coors Banquet Beer, E-Z-GO Golf Cars, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 team.

Saturday’s show provided Reinhardt with a chance to improve on his worst-case 8th starting spot and he took full advantage.  Drivers earned points through qualifying and passing points in heat races.  After that, the top twenty would go to the A-main lineup and the top six would go to a dash to sort out the first three rows.

Reinhardt was fast once again in qualifying, posting the 3rd quickest trip around the Swedesboro, NJ oval.  In his heat race, he drove from 6th to 4th, good enough to rank him 5th in the overall point standings at the conclusion of all qualifying events.

Reinhardt drew the number three pill for the dash lineup and posted a 3rd place finish in the 6-lap dash, earning the inside row two starting spot for the 30-lap finale.

The initial start of the feature saw contact between the two front-row cars which resulted in a caution for outside starter Ryan Smith.  The caution quickly became a red flag for a melee in turn two.  The ensuing restart put Reinhardt on the outside front row.

The Neptune City, NJ native settled into 2nd for the opening laps before another restart gave him a good shot at leader Justin Whittall.  Reinhardt cleared Whittall on the high side off of turn two and had the advantage into turn three.  However, Whittall drove in hard under him and reclaimed the top spot off of turn four.

Reinhardt got close one more time but it wasn’t enough to wrestle the spot away.  He held on the rest of the way, fending off challenges by Daison Pursley and Danny Dietrich, to claim the runner-up finish.

I don’t have an answer for why we are so good here but we are definitely one of the cars to beat when we unload here.   It’s great to run well at home with so many friends and family in the stands.”, Reinhardt commented.

“I got in front of Justin (Whittall) once but he was pretty strong and got back by me.  When we got into traffic I thought I would get another shot at him but the lapped cars followed him up the track and that affected my air.  They were running their race too, so it’s just part of it.”

“He (Justin) was so good in clean air and I blistered my tires trying to get to him.  At that point, I was just protecting to make sure I held on to second.  I knew I had to stick to the top and keep up my momentum.  If something happens to the leader, you want to be in position to take advantage of it.”

Reinhardt hasn’t found victory lane this year yet after a three-win season in 2023.

“We had a really good year last year but we struggled at the beginning of this year.  I took us a while to adjust and find our speed after some of the changes to the tires, wickerbill, etc.  We’ve turned it around and put a lot of good runs together since mid-August though.  I wish we had a win but I’m happy with how strong we have been the last two months.”, Reinhardt shared.

“We will head to Charlotte and see what we can do at the World Finals, then we will come back home and wrap up our season at BAPS Motor Speedway.”

UP NEXT

Reinhardt will head south this week to compete on four consecutive nights in the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, NC with the World of Outlaws.  The event will be held November 6th-9th.

His final race of 2024 will be November 16th at BAPS Motor Speedway’s Sprint Showdown.

Outstanding October: Wins and Hard Charger Round Out 2024 Season

Mifflintown, PA – November 2, 2024

by Derick Kriner / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

No matter what time of year it is, finding your groove is something special for any race car driver and team. October proved to be the month that Lane Snook and team would find something that made the 23-car unstoppable.

Starting off the final month of the team’s season, BAPS hosted the Creekside Auto Late Models. After an invert put Snook in the 8th starting spot, speed showed as Lane made his way to the point. “We were able to make our way to the lead fairly quick.” Even after a few cautions and even a red flag, Lane picked up yet another BAPS Motor Speedway checkered flag.

Riding the wave of confidence, the Mifflintown-based team headed to the world-famous Eldora Speedway. “We qualified 7th in our group out of 24 cars. That put us starting 4th in the heat…made a mistake on the first lap, but was able to make our way back up to 4th.” A front-row starting spot in the B Main presented a prime opportunity to make the show. That is exactly what Snook did.

Most would think that rolling off towards the rear of the field would make it tough to have a great result. Finding the bottom groove to his liking, Snook advanced all the way up to the 7th position. With a car in the top five coming up lite at the scales, Lane wound up with a 6th place finish. “Half the challenge was just making the show, with so many good cars” stated Snook. “It was definitely cool racing at Eldora with the tough competition.”

Sometimes, finding your groove and something that works for you, can mean making changes to what you are used to. “I did some different stuff with the setup that I was told to do by people who had raced there before.” Not only did these tips help the young racer, Lane’s mindset might have also helped. “Went into the weekend knowing there was nothing to lose.” Sharing the hard charger award, for a track debut, was certainly a huge accomplishment.

Continued success would follow the 23 team to the Path Valley Speedway for the final weekend of the season. With a split program, qualifying took place on Friday night and the car and driver again, were in the groove. Quickest in time trials put the 16-year-old starting 8th in his heat, with the program being about points. 3rd place points in the heat totaled up to be the highest point total out of any driver on Saturday. “With a rubbered-up racetrack, we were able to lead every lap for a very successful last race of the season.”

That win marked Snook’s 5th of the year and was a perfect capstone to a sophomore season in the Limited Late Model ranks. 2024 was a great success and exceeded expectations for not only the team but also the driver. While 2025 still seems far away, it will certainly come quick. Practice over the off-season will come in the form of iRacing for the teenage racer and maybe also with watching races and replays to gain a mental notebook on tracks for 2025.

Lane and team would again like to thank all the great sponsors and friends who helped to make this season so successful. Here’s to 2024 and to an even more stellar 2025!
