Ashley Cappetta Racing is excited to have another new sponsor to announce for the 2024 season. Jersey Mike’s (Hanover) is partnering with Ashley Cappetta Racing for the first time this year, “Jersey Mike’s (Hanover) reached out and wanted to connect more with the community and felt this would be a good partnership for them. We’re excited to help them grow their business within the racing community.”
The owners have been at their Hanover location for two years and are located only nine minutes from Lincoln Speedway. Fans will be able to sample Jersey Mike’s (Hanover) subs at the 20th Annual Weldon Sterner Memorial in the Fan Zone. They will have a tent set up near Cappetta’s trailer for fans to stop by and pick up a sample, “I’m excited for this because its something different and it also benefits the race fans.”

Ashley announced the initial step of the Jersey Mike’s (Hanover) partnership for her “Night at the Races” Fundraiser, when they agreed to give each attendee a coupon and donated a family four-pack, “It’s neat to work with a franchise. The more of these types of businesses involved in the sport the better it is for the community and for racing.”

In addition to getting involved in racing with ACR as a way to connect with the community, Jersey Mike’s (Hanover) will be participating in a month of giving in March with 100% of sales at their location going to Roots for Boots on Wednesday, March 27.

Ashley Cappetta Racing is pleased to announce a new partnership with J.Z. Construction for the 2024 season, “I met Jamie while working on the Sterner Race and ended up discussing sponsorship of the race car too,” Cappetta shared. In the end J.Z. Construction not only supported the Weldon Sterner Race, but they signed on to sponsor ACR, “Jamie loves racing and does a lot for the sport.”

J.Z. Construction has sponsored tracks, drivers, and races and continues to be a champion for dirt track racing. Jamie and the team cover the gambit with what they can do when it comes to construction. You can find out more about J.Z. Construction on their website JZConstructionServices.com.

“A Night at the Races” Fundraiser a Success!

After months of hard work from Ashley and event volunteers, the 12th annual “A Night at the Races” fundraiser was ACR’s most successful fundraiser yet. With over 300 people in attendance, there was overwhelming support as Cappetta gets ready for the 2024 season, “It means a lot to have such great support, especially considering the current state of the economy.” Ashley is already looking forward to making next year’s event bigger and better, “Mark your calendars for the same weekend in 2025.”

Cappetta could not put on the event alone and would like to thank each and every person who helped with the fundraiser, “Thank you to each of you, I couldn’t have done it without all of you.”

Mike’s Towing & Recovery Back With Ashley Cappetta for the 2024 Campaign

East Berlin, PA – February 7, 2024

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Original Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos Photography

For the sixth consecutive season, Mike’s Towing & Recovery will team up with Ashley Cappetta Racing. Mike and Chrissy came on board in 2019, just in time for Ashley’s first career win. What initially started as sponsoring the soda at Cappetta’s “Night at the Races” fundraiser, has evolved into a partnership that continues to grow, “This year they decided to take a step forward and grow the sponsorship.”

Not only are Mike and Chrissy sponsors, they are always there for Cappetta when she needs them, “They came out for a leak in my truck while I was pumping gas at a Sam’s Club. They were able to fix but were also ready to tow my truck if needed. They also leant me their truck to pull the trailer for Trunk of Treat two years ago since my personal truck was in the garage.”

In addition to their towing and recovery business, Mike’s now offers roll-off dumpster service. Check them out online at MikesTowingAndRecoveryPA.com.

“A Night at the Races” Fundraiser Continues to Grow

Ashley Cappetta Racing’s annual fundraiser, “A Night at the Races” is this Saturday and it just keeps getting better and better. Cappetta just announced that Jersey Mike’s Subs – Hanover Location (141 Wilson Ave., Hanover; Gateway Hanover Shopping Center) is giving away 250 coupons to fundraiser attendees. The coupon is good for free drink and a bag of chips with the purchase of a sub. They also donated a Family 4 Pack to giveaway at the event which includes four subs, four drinks and four bags of chips.

Tickets are still available for the event and the racing from Florida will be shown on the TVs in the fire hall.

Cappetta Revs Up for 2024 Season with Gettysburg Trading Post Returning as Primary Sponsor; ACR Fundraiser Slated for February 10

East Berlin, PA – January 30, 2024

by Emily Winslow / Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Original Photo Credit:  Jeremy Zarfos Photography

Ashley Cappetta Racing is pleased to announce that the Gettysburg Trading Post has signed on as the team’s main sponsor for the 2024 racing season. This will be the 13th season that the Gettysburg Trading Post has teamed up with ACR, their partnership started in 2012 during Ashley’s first year competing.

The Gettysburg Trading Post moved into ACR’s main sponsor spot for the 2021 season which means they have priority for any community events that ACR attends and prominent branding on the trailer, the car, and Ashley’s fire suits. “It’s really nice to have someone that believes in me through the good and the bad. There’s been a lot of good but also a lot of bad, but for someone to stick by me through the ugly – I don’t think I’d be where I am without Shawn and the Trading Post,” Cappetta shared.

Cappetta has enjoyed seeing the Gettysburg Trading Post grow and expand alongside of ACR and said, “Shawn and the Trading Post started small and progressed to the main sponsor, which I am truly forever grateful for. As their sponsorship has grown, so has their business. It’s been nice to see them move into a larger facility and build a good business.”

12th Annual “A night at the Races” Fundraising Event Set for February 10

In addition to gearing up for the on-track action in 2024, Cappetta is also putting the final pieces in place for her 12th annual “A Night at the Races” fundraising event on Saturday, February 10. Tickets are available in advance and at the door (unless sold out prior to the event) for $30. Doors open at 5PM at the Irishtown Fire Company (934 Irishtown Rd., New Oxford, PA). Every fan in attendance will receive a shirt, a reusable grocery bag and a can coozie. The event includes a silent auction, raffles, a live auction, and much more.

Some of the items to be auctioned off in the live auction are a race used and autographed Freddie Rahmer helmet, James McFadden #83 autographed wing panel, Steve Wilbur race used helmet, Cory Haas #11c wing panel, Don Kreitz Jr wing panel, nose wing from the #69K autographed by Lance Dewease, Davey Brown and Don Kreitz Jr and a James McFadden KKR #9 autographed wing panel.

Another aspect of the event that allows fans to take home extra cash is the “Racers Challenge.” Fans compete via the World of Outlaws video game with $350 going to first place, $200 for second, $100 for third, $75 for fourth, and $50 for fifth. There is a payoff for non-qualifiers as well. The “Racers Challenge” is sponsored by Livingston Lawn Care, Snelbecker Electric, Racing Through Time Racing Collectibles, and ACR.

In addition to the raffle baskets, there will be a large raffle with multiple top prizes including a Mossberg 500 Retrograde Field 12 gauge shotgun, 36-inch blackstone grill, a bushel of crabs from RIPS, and Michael Kors purse plus 6 other prizes.

Ashley Cappetta Racing merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. 2023 merchandise will be discounted and it will be fans’ first opportunity to buy 2024 merchandise.

The fundraiser will also be the official kick-off of the 20th Annual Weldon Sterner Memorial. The $ 20,000-to-win race was originally scheduled for the 2023 racing season, but Mother Nature forced it to be moved to Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Newlin Building the Foundation for Future 410 Sprint Car Success in Central PA

Get Your Tickets Now:  Team’s Annual Cash Bingo Event Fast Approaching

Millerstown, PA – January 17, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Zach Newlin spent most of the 2023 season working to pull his own 410 sprint car team together.  It proved to take longer than hoped but the team did manage to make it to the track three times late in the season.

The preparation has continued throughout this offseason, and while Newlin has limited resources, he has been working hard to build depth where he can and fans should expect to see more of Newlin in his 410 sprint car in 2024.

There are plenty of other updates from the Zach Newlin Racing camp to share this winter too.

YOU WIN, THEY WIN!

Racers don’t often get the opportunity to hang out and have fun with their fans, family, and friends.  Every winter, Zach Newlin and the entire Newlin Racing family try to remedy that by hosting a fun night

The night features bingo with cash prizes, door prizes, 50/50 drawings, a Chinese auction, and tear-off tickets.

Not only is it a fun night of games, but the annual event helps Newlin Racing support some of the costs of their program.

Everyone knows how expensive racing is these days.  It doesn’t matter if you are running a go-kart like Caleb Newlin or a full-blown sprint car like his father, Zach Newlin, it takes funding to get to the track.

The entire event is a win for fans and a win for Newlin Racing.  Come out and support a long-time Central Pennsylvania racing family.

The event will be held at the Millerstown (PA) Moose on Saturday, January 27th.  Doors open at noon with festivities kicking off at 1pm.

Advance tickets are $25.  Only 300 tickets will be sold.  If available, tickets will be $30 at the door.  Interested fans can message Newlin Racing or Zach Newlin Racing on Facebook to get tickets.

Tickets are also available at the Millerstown Moose, Ron’s RV Sales in Mifflintown, and The Podium Awards in Newport.

Fans can find all the latest information on the ‘Newlin Racing Cash Bingo’ event on the Newlin Racing Facebook page.

358 PLANS

Before we get into Newlin’s 410 sprint car plans for 2024, we want to fill fans in on another part of his schedule.

‘Zach Daddy’ as he is known to his fans, will return to the seat of Dan Mansberger’s No.21m 358 sprint car to compete in all the Williams Grove Speedway dates for the division.

The pairing had a solid season in 2023, capturing one victory and finishing 6th in the season point standings at ‘The Grove’.

We enjoy running with Dan, so I’m really happy to be back in his car again.”, Newlin said.

This will be our 4th year together.  We struggled with mechanical issues our first couple of years but last year we overcame that.  We were competitive almost every week in 2023.  I’m looking forward to 2024.  I think we can run up front and get Dan back to victory lane again.

410 PLANS

Last season, Newlin was aiming to get his own family-owned 11z team put together with a 410 bullet under the hood by early summer but parts delays, funding and other issues kept delaying his debut.  The team did manage three starts before the season closed, one of them unfortunately ending early with a part failure in hot laps.

In 2024, Newlin is set to race the Ron’s RV Sales, Butler Hill Maple Farm, Tuscarora Roofing Co., Dillman Hauling, Precision Auto Repair Services, Christine Booker Realtor, Newlin Bar Service No.11z on a regular basis from the start of the season.

That said, Newlin will need to be selective when and where he competes to ensure he makes the most of his equipment and gives himself the best chance to build on what he has.

With only their smaller engine available, ZNR’s schedule options will be a bit limited.  As of now, plans are to compete at BAPS Motor Speedway’s 410 sprint car shows, plus some additional mid-summer dates at Port Royal Speedway.  Newlin is hoping the team’s other engine is done soon so the team will be able to add more dates to their schedule.

This will be a learning and building year for us, so our main goals are just to be at the track as much as we are able and get as many laps as we can.“, Newlin commented.  We are also going to make sure we promote our partners.  We wouldn’t be able to do this without them.  I can’t thank those folks enough.  Last year was disappointing because we wanted to race more but things we couldn’t control kept us from doing that.

“Our partners have stayed behind us and continued to believe in what we are trying to build, so we are going to make sure to take care of them.

PARTNERS ARE FAMILY

Speaking of marketing partners, Newlin will welcome back several key supporters in 2024.

Ron’s RV Sales of Mifflintown is back as a primary partner.  Ron’s RV Sales is a retirement hobby that has become a passion. Kyle Reinhardt Showcased Abilities on and off the Track During Successful 2023 Season

New Oxford, PA – November 17, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt approached the 2023 season as a rebuilding year.  With fewer resources at his disposal, than he had during the previous two seasons, the plan was to focus on Central Pennsylvania and other key events that made the most sense for his team.

His goals were to perform at the highest possible level on the track and work hard off the track to find partnerships that would allow him to expand his schedule.

Not only did he manage to check a lot of the boxes, including a couple that were unplanned, but he logged the best year of his 410 sprint car career thus far.

MAKING THE MOST OF WHAT YOU HAVE

Reinhardt came out of the gate strong in 2023, finishing tenth or better ten times in his first fifteen races.  After that strong start, he announced a new partnership with Coors Banquet beer, who came on board through Ace Distributing of PA.

Competing with the High Limit Series, the World of Outlaws, and All Star Circuit of Champions, as well as across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Reinhardt entered 47 events in his familiar Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91, winning twice and finishing in the top ten 22 times.

It was exciting having Coors Banquet join our program this year.  We were able to make a few appearances for them, plus we had a few Coors Banquet beer showers.“, Reinhardt said with a smile, referring to his trips to victory lane that always included a Coors Banquet beer in hand when he climbed to the top of his wing to celebrate.

I think we represented them well and I hope we are able to continue to grow the partnership.  This is a great relationship for the future of our team as we continue to gain more partners moving forward.  A company like Molson Coors getting involved in our sport is a positive for all of us.

A GREAT FIT

In July, Reinhardt brought Chris Shuttlesworth on board as crew chief and turned his focus to driving.  The pair previously had success together when Shuttlesworth was a member of the John Westbrook 1W team that Reinhardt wheeled to a 360 sprint car title and several wins at Selinsgrove Speedway in 2019.

Shuttlesworth and Reinhardt reached victory lane twice in their 32 races together during the second half of the 2023 season.

Having the right guy to make the calls is huge.  Most of the time it has just been me and I think I did well but it’s a lot to manage.  Chris and I work well together.  I’m glad to have him.  I trust him to make the calls and I can focus on my job behind the wheel.“, Reinhardt commented.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

Just twenty-four hours before a late-July High Limit Series race at Grandview Speedway in Pennsylvania that was delayed a day by weather, Reinhardt’s phone rang.  Bernie Stuebgen of Indy Race Parts was in need of someone to wheel his No.71 at Grandview and he tabbed the Neptune City, NJ native for the job.

Despite never having sat in the car before, Reinhardt turned in an 8th-place run against a stout field.  The result of the unexpected opportunity turned heads.

Running well over the first few months of the season definitely led to opportunities.  I’ve driven for other people and I always appreciated those chances but this was definitely the first time I was called about a high-profile ride.  Bernie’s car is known across the country as a top-notch car and I really appreciated the opportunity he gave me.  We ran pretty well together too, especially considering it was only one night.“, Reinhardt said.

Days later, Bryan Grove called Reinhardt and asked him to wheel the Grove Racing No.45 on the All Star Circuit of Champions tour, beginning after the Knoxville Nationals in mid-August.

Reinhardt accepted and took Shuttlesworth with him on the venture.  The team gelled quickly, competing 13 times over a span of just five and a half weeks, recording one victory and seven top-ten finishes.

The Grove 45 team, Chris, and I worked really well together and the results showed.  We won a race and led a few others.  We could have won a couple more if things had shaken out a little differently, but that’s racing.

ASSESSING IT ALL AND LOOKING AHEAD

When the books closed on the 2023 season, Reinhardt’s stats told an impressive story about a successful rebuilding year.

Reinhardt entered 61 total races, finishing in the top ten 30 times, which included 3 wins and 13 top fives.  A top-ten run in 49.2% of the races entered is a notable improvement over the 26.6% he achieved in 2022.

The sum of all that is a win on and off the track.  The rebuilding may have been accomplished but there is still plenty of building to be done.  Reinhardt continues to look for partnerships to help grow his rising team.

I wish I could tell you our 2024 plans but right now we are waiting for schedules and other information like a lot of teams are.  Bryan (Grove) and I are talking too but we have to wait and see how things play out with the touring series and schedules before any of us can make a decision.  I would like to run a combination of High Limit and World of Outlaw events but we will have to wait and see.“, Reinhardt shared.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2024 season.

Kody Hartlaub’s Successful 2023 Could Be a Turning Point in Young Career

East Berlin, PA – November 7, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kody Hartlaub has been racing in Central PA for over 15 years but the path to where he is today has been anything but a steady climb.  The graph of his progression probably looks a lot like a jagged mountain range over those years.

He had a lot of success in his early years in go-karts but then was in and out of the sport for a few years. He dabbled in 600 micro sprint racing, then 358 sprint cars.  In 2018 he logged nearly a full season in the 358’s, but then sat out the 2019 season and raced a sparse 2020 schedule.

Finally, in 2021, everything fell into place for the Littlestown, PA native to run a full season.  That season, Hartlaub captured his first 358 sprint car win at Lincoln Speedway.  Over the course of the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Hartlaub has continued to improve.  He got back to victory lane this season and he also launched his own 410 sprint car team.

The mountain range with it’s valleys of the past is now starting to look more like a steady climb.

Let’s take a closer look at the path Hartlaub has been on and where it might lead for the driver of the J Fuels, Brewer Home Improvements, Moose Blocks, Smith Titanium, SRR Engines, Siegel Racing, T&N Solutions, Inch & Co. Real Estate, Bigham Appraisals, Pretzel Boy, HAAS Shocks, Chop Designs, Herr Electric, Hartlaub’s Furniture, Kody Hartlaub Racing No.95.

REMARKABLE 358 PERFORMANCE

Hartlaub finished in the top ten in 87% of his 358 sprint car starts in 2023.  Fifteen of those twenty top-ten finishes were top-five finishes.  Three of those were wins.

Let that sink in.  Those stats were amassed despite handicapping systems, track conditions, and all the random on-track and mechanical issues that are part of the sport.

Those kinds of stats don’t happen by accident or luck.  They are a result of preparation, a commitment to continuous improvement of the smallest details, and the dedicated support of a group of people working together.

Hartlaub spoke a couple of seasons ago about working to build depth in his program, from equipment to knowledge.  The goal then was to just make sure his team could attend every race and compete, not needing to be sidelined due to a lack of resources.  The mindset was the only way to get better was to race, so all efforts were aimed at making sure he could make every possible lap.

Fast forward to 2023 and the results show Hartlaub has accomplished his initial goals.  There were incidents and challenges during the season but as a result of their established depth and experience, the team was able to qualify for and finish every race.  That’s the first step in winning races and championships.

This is exactly what I set out to build.  A 358 sprint car team that could compete for wins every time out.  I extremely pleased with how our team was able to work together to accomplish that in just a few years.“, Hartlaub said.

Honestly, the year was nearly perfect but I feel I fell short at Williams Grove.  I really wanted my first win there and I wanted the championship, but I’m not complaining.  I’m just my own worst critic.  I push myself pretty hard to be good at every aspect of this sport.

This is the year I needed in 358’s to prove to myself and my team that we are ready to go 410 racing.  Hopefully, I earned a little respect from others in the pit area before we make the move up.  It meant a lot to me when someone who has been in the sport a long time said to me late this season that nobody can doubt me when I transition.  That said, I know it won’t be easy and I don’t expect to have success right away at that level.

358 SPRINT STATS:  23 races, 3 wins, 15 top 5’s, 20 top 10’s, 21 top 15’s

PRODUCTIVE 410 SEAT TIME

With the support of partner Brewers Home Improvements, Hartlaub purchased a new Eagle chassis last winter.  He also picked up a used 410 engine from Danny Dietrich.  His 2023 goal was simply to get some seat time and begin the learning process to eventually make the move to full-time 410 sprint car racing someday.

Hartlaub’s strategy for his limited 410 starts in 2023 was simply to make laps and learn, even voluntarily running at the back of the field if necessary to accomplish it.

That’s exactly how the first couple outings in June played out but Hartlaub realized he was more comfortable in the car than he anticipated.  He started to compete and mix it up a little bit in July and logged a 14th-place finish at Williams Grove Speedway.

In his last two 410 races of the season in August, Hartlaub showed he was clearly accomplishing his goals for the season, and more.  He registered a runner-up finish at Lincoln Speedway and a 6th place at BAPS Motor Speedway.

I’m glad we did what we did this year.  I definitely learned a lot.  We had some good runs and I feel like I was able to really make progress behind the wheel because we had a decent car.  Had the car been total junk, it would have been difficult for me to get good experience.  That’s a credit to my team and the people who support us.“, Hartlaub commented.

Our 410 car was completely different than our 358 car, so that’s a big confidence boost to me and my team, knowing we didn’t just find something that worked on one car and stayed with it.  We figured out a completely different car and ran pretty well.

410 SPRINT STATS:  6 races, 0 wins, 1 top 5’s, 2 top 10’s, 4 top 15’s

OUTLAW OPPORTUNITY

As the National Open approached at Williams Grove Speedway in late September, Hartlaub’s phone rang with an unexpected opportunity.  Bill Rose, a full-time member of the World of Outlaws series, was looking for someone to fill the seat of his No.6 while he healed from a late-summer accident.

Hartlaub accepted and the pair competed in the National Open.  Rose then extended the offer for the East Berlin, PA driver to wheel the car at the Port Royal Speedway Outlaw events as well.

The opportunity to drive Bill’s (Rose) No.6 car was completely unexpected.  It was a great opportunity and I’m extremely grateful for it.“, Hartlaub commented.  “I built friendships and connections, and raced against the best of the best with the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove and Port Royal.

Our results weren’t great but I gained a ton of experience.  I had never turned laps at Port Royal but we weren’t terrible there.  I struggled a little in time trials but raced pretty well and passed cars.  I had never run on the fence at a place like that where you carry wing speed all the way around.  It’s a different feel to have that all the way around a half-mile and learn to trust that kind of grip in the corners.  You can run the bottom just as hard at the top there.  Understanding how to use that is key and I learned a lot in just a couple nights.

Rose, based in Indiana, called Hartlaub because he received a suggestion from a friend in the sport that he give him a chance to fill the seat when he headed east for the final Pennsylvania swing of the season.  He trusted the tip and did just that.

Kody is one of the best kids I have ever worked with.”, Rose said with no hesitation and a level of excitement in his voice.  “He’s a really good guy.  He’s polite, wants to learn, and is extremely appreciative of the opportunity.

He wasn’t just complimentary of Hartlaub’s personality.

That kid is going to be good.  He is going to be around for a while.”, Rose added.  “I told him he wasn’t in our best car.  We were trying to finish the year and save our new stuff for 2024.  We didn’t have much time together but he progressed quickly during those few nights.  We didn’t time well but Kody raced really well, especially on the final night at both tracks after we had some time to adjust things.  I wished we could have had our best stuff for him.  He would have been even better.

We worked really well with Kody’s entire team.  He has good guys.  They are all fun to be around and they get the job done.

Rose had some advice for the East Berlin, PA driver.

I told him not to stay in PA.  PA is a good area and yes he needs to race those tracks but I told him to get out and travel when he can.  Race other tracks and other competition.  That’s really important for the growth of a driver and the entire team.”, Rose shared.

If I could get the right deal in place, I would put him in the car and hit the road.  Right now that’s just not our situation.  Maybe someday.

The bottom line is this.  People are noticing Kody Hartlaub’s performance and abilities.  Does this mean more opportunities like this?  Maybe.  Sometimes things in sprint car racing happen fast and sometimes the wheels turn slowly.  Either way, Hartlaub is ready to do the work to be prepared, regardless of whether he’s holding the wheel of his own No.95 or the next steering wheel he is offered.

MAKING THE MOVE

In 2024, Kody Hartlaub will take his No.95 to the 410 sprint car ranks full-time.  This is what the East Berlin, PA driver has been working towards and he feels it is time.

We won’t be starting over completely but 2024 will be about learning how to build a 410 sprint car program.  We know it’s a different animal than the 358 and we know it will take time to reach a consistently competitive level like we did with the 358 program.“, Hartlaub shared.

I want our 410 team to be a versatile program.  I don’t want to just focus on one or two tracks or run for points.  My plan is to travel a little within the region and gain experience at a variety of tracks and against a variety of competitors.  I think that is the best way to develop as a driver and a team to eventually be competitive anywhere we unload.

Hartlaub is waiting for 2024 schedules to be released by tracks and series, then the team will sit down and plan what fits their schedules and of course their resources.

TRIVIA QUESTION

The answer to last week’s trivia question is Kody Hartlaub scored 11 top-five 358 sprint car finishes in 2022!

We will have new trivia questions for you to learn more about Kody in 2024!

Reinhardt Captures $15,000 Oktoberfest Victory at Bridgeport

Will Close Out Season November 11th at BAPS Motor Speedway’s Final Showdown

Swedesboro, NJ – October 30, 2023

by Addicted2Dirt PR & Media Mgmt

Kyle Reinhardt has won a lot of races in his home state of New Jersey over the years, but the one box he had not checked yet was a 410 sprint car victory there.

Opportunities are not plentiful to do so given the rarity of 410 races in NJ but each time Bridgeport Motorsports Park has the sprint cars on the card, Reinhardt is there along with a large contingent of family and friends.

Reinhardt has been fast all year, including a top-five finish at Bridgeport with the highly competitive High Limit Series.  Back in May, he scored a runner-up finish at the Swedesboro track with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

This time $15,000 was up for grabs and Reinhardt was on a mission.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  October 28, 2023

  • Team:  Capitol Renegade No.91
  • EventOktoberfest
  • TrackBridgeport Motorsports Park
  • City, State:   Swedesboro, NJ
  • Quick Stats:  25 cars, Qualifying 1st Group 3, Heat 3rd (4), Dash 2nd (2), A-main 1st (2)

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Once again, Reinhardt was fast out of the box in the Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91.  He clocked in quickest in group three qualifying with a lap of 12.904 seconds around the 4-tenths mile, high banked facility.

The qualifying effort put Reinhardt 4th on the grid for his 8-lap heat race.  He grabbed 3rd at the drop of the green and held on to that spot to the finish to transfer and lock into the dash.

The dash redraw put Reinhardt on the outside of the front row.  He gave chase to polesitter Justin Peck but settled for a runner-up finish.

Starting on the outside of the front row alongside Peck, Reinhardt wasted no time.  He took command of the race on lap one of the 35-lap finale using the high line off of turn two.  He had Peck and Anthony Macri hot on his heels.

Peck pressured Reinhardt for the next twenty laps as the pair diced through lapped traffic at a torrid pace.  Meanwhile, Danny Dietrich was inching closer to the front.

A caution with sixteen laps remaining turned into a fuel stop.  When the race resumed, Dietrich wrestled 2nd away from Peck.  Meanwhile, Reinhardt caught lapped traffic again and sliced through it quickly, keeping lapped cars between himself and Dietrich.

With three laps remaining, Dietrich had clear track between himself and Reinhardt, but the Neptune City, NJ native dove low into turn one on the final lap, clearing a lapped car and putting a cushion between himself and Dietrich again.  The move sealed the $15,000 victory and ignited a huge celebration with family, friends, and of course a Coors Banquet beer in hand.

Man, I love racing here.  I love racing in New Jersey.  So many friends and family out here, it’s an awesome deal to win this.“, a very happy Reinhardt said in victory lane.  “We’ve been so close so many times to win a 410 race in NJ, it just means a lot to finally get it done.

It got really hairy a few times tonight.  This place is just so fast…badass fast.  We were catching the lapped cars so quickly, it was really hard to judge where they were going.

I can’t thank my friends and family enough and of course my crew, Chris, David, Lawnton, Kent, and Mike.  The people who support me, Wayne Quackenbush and Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer and Ace Distributing, and Henry’s Wrecker Service.  They are the ones behind the scenes who really make this happen for me.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.

HISTORY

Coors Banquet beer was first brewed 150 years ago.  It was the original product brewed by Adolph Coors in Colorado when he first established his brewery in 1873.

The company will celebrate their sesquicentennial on September 30th, 2023, with a huge street festival in the town where it all began – Golden, Colorado.  This memorable event will feature a lineup of live musical performances, local artisans, brewery tours, limited-edition merch, and great food and beer.

Kyle Reinhardt returned to action Saturday at BAPS Motor Speedway in the Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Henry’s Wrecker Service No.91 following a two-week break provided by Mother Nature.

The York Haven, Pennsylvania oval has been good to Reinhardt in 2023.  He tallied an average finish of 5.2, including one win in his first five starts there this year.

QUICK RESULTS

DATE:  October 21, 2023

  • EventBritton Finkenbinder Memorial
  • TrackBAPS Motor Speedway
  • City, State:   York Haven, PA
  • Quick Stats:  37 cars, Qualifying 1st Group 1, Heat 2nd (4), A-main 5th (4)

OPPORTUNITY LOST

The 37 teams on hand were split into four groups for time trials and heat races.  Reinhardt was quick out of the box, posting the quickest lap in his group.  He followed that up by going 4th to 2nd in his heat race.

Reinhardt took the green for the 30-lap A-main from outside row two and immediately grabbed the 3rd position.  Over the opening ten circuits, he worked on runner-up Dylan Norris and finally took the position away on lap twelve.

For the next fifteen laps, Reinhardt patiently pursued leader Troy Wagaman Jr., looking and waiting for the right opportunity to strike to take the top spot.  He pulled alongside Wagaman’s No.27 on a few occasions before a caution appeared with three laps remaining.

On the ensuing restart, Devon Borden attempted to squeeze under Reinhardt entering turn one but wasn’t able to do so cleanly and made contact with the Neptune City, NJ native’s No.91, causing the pair to spin.

Reinhardt managed to keep his mount rolling and thus maintained the 2nd position on the restart.  Unfortunately, the damage sustained from the contact affected the handling and he slipped to a 5th-place finish during the final three laps.

I had another great car tonight.  I was trying to be patient in 2nd but got mowed over on that late restart.  The car took a lot of damage and I struggled from there.“, Reinhardt commented.

Thanks to my guys.  Chris Shuttlesworth had the 91 tuned up!  Big thank you to Capitol Renegade, Coors Banquet Beer, Ace Distributing, and Henry’s Wrecker for their continuing support.  Felt like we could have had one for them tonight.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 season.
